Just bought one of these from you Richard - glad to get my hands on such a sweet product without Weaver's filthy intervention. Thanks for providing such good content - I use a lot of your stuff to teach my guys the safety aspects of SRT and climbing in general, and i'm happy to support your work. Thanks for what you do for all of us!
Great product! I recently started SRT and bought this to help with ascending into the canopy of a tree. At first it took a little adjusting to have it work just right, but I have to say it helps making your way up really fast. Mr. Mumford had shipped it to me in a timely manner! It's small, lightweight, made of high quality materials, and looks like it will last a long time. Thank you for such a fine product. Climb High! From your friends at RR Tree Co. Evergreen, CO!
Hay Richard I just received my SAKA MONI and man what a difference . I made a trip up the rope MUCH EASER !! I was worried about the single bungee cord and soft leg strap. I was wrong it all works GRATE. THANK YOU Kenny B. P.S. Keep up the good work!
Good stuff Richard. Huge respect for including the "history of the ropewalker system". ;~) Looks like your mind is still hard at work with helping push the progression of climbing gear. Thank you for what you're doing, I appreciate it. Keep yourself safe Richard, see you again my friend. Randy
I've tried the new saka with both the bungee and a retractable keychain. While the keychain is more compact-able , I get a much more relaxed and smooth climb with your new bungee.
Good bungee is hard to find. I've been using the original SAKA for a few years now, and it's just now wearing out. The foot loops were always annoying while limb walking, so I like the clip in option. A small soft shackle or loop of throwline threaded under 3 sets of laces makes a fantastic clip in point. Very comparable to the Arb Pro boots.
I enjoyed the video of the accent and understood going up but does it work the same way on the decent? I saw you come down the tree with the same easy motion as going up. Please explain how it works going down?
Good afternoon Richard I have another question , just want your opinion what do you think if I set a tip tie point with a alpine and a quickie link then srt to the top, east climb up. then use a pinto on a prussic loop from treestuff and attach it by a three loop prussic to the srt line, then go to ddrt. So I am still tip tied and can retrieve it from the ground and have the benefit of the ziz zag on ddrt. I love srt with the singing tree to get up to the top, and then switching to ddrt with the zig zag. What's your thoughts
I guess you can call me bored...but I'd call it intrigued! I watched the whole thing. Really nice. I like how compact..able it is. Are you going to sell that bungee separately too? I love it!
Love the idea that it can go into the bag on my belt so it's not clipped to my belt.. Richard wondering if I could pick your brain, when I rope walk I seem to want to go over backwards you seem to just so straight upward and you use so less energy. I have to go hand over hand just like I am pulling myself up, I have a tried my zig zag with the rope wrench, I tried my rope runner. And I just seem to lean backwards. Any suggestions
Shane Aubuchon well there are a few things, first my toes are touching the trunk, another is that SRT is easier to stay upright then a doubled moving rope technique. One other thing that helps a climber stay upright is to reach high and make sure your feet are under you and going straight up and down no bicycles.
Richard Mumford thanks I will try , and I guess my message was confusing, I climb srt. I use my zig zag with a tether paired with the ropewrench . yea I know it's not recommended that's why I bought the roadrunner live srt to get up the tree then I will go to ddrt if I want. I do love the zig zag in ddrt to work. Love the runner to climb
Can this be worn on the right side? Im left foot dominant and use a left foot ascender. I couldn't really find any more info on the interweb. I would like to know in advance before I order just in case I need to get a right foot ascender. thanks Richard, climb safe.
Yes in reality it doesn't really matter on these left or right, you're keeping your feet perpendicular to the rope and so there's not really a change in the angle.
Excellent! Thanks, I have a feeling this will be a "step" in the right direction! I figured with the cam lock it wouldn't matter, just wanted to make sure. Thanks again.
great video. this thing looks damned amazing and.... mini !!! you say that the gear reel infos are on your page but i cant find it. can you point me where to look please.
bcs llc I am and I think I have found the right one. I'll be getting those ordered and putting things together soon I always say soon on it takes me awhile.
Nice Richard weather if I ever learn how to climb a rope or not I will buy one from you. If another big Corp. tries to stop you again I can use it to choke them to death. And Im not LOL.
Richard Mumford Your swag is just fine brother absolutely just fine don’t worry you are part of the top five when it comes to people that are actually using their brains in making things happen God bless my good brother I am so happy by the way with my knee ascender
Satisfied SAKA mini customer here. Haven't climbed on it--or anything--yet, but satisfied by reason of standing by another entrepreneur. However, I _am_ going to climb on it, whence my question. "I'm pretty sure that" 50 or so years ago, back in the Boy Scouts, the teaching was that the girth hitch (also know as the Lark's head to Scouts) required a balanced load--both lines carrying equal loads. For a single-line load, say hitching to a post, a clove hitch or something similar was recommended. You can make a clove as quickly as a girth, by reversing the half hitches and stacking them opposite each other. www.animatedknots.com/clovehalfhitches/index.php Going on the opposite side of the standing part makes it a constrictor knot(hitch). www.animatedknots.com/constrictorend/index.php However browsing the site suggest other possibilities too.
Uhhh, "the girth hitch... which I find to be easily adjustable." Yeah. I tied an "anchor hitch" and tightened it so tightly--at the wrong length--that I had to slide it off the carabiner to begin to untie it. :^{ I remember from somewhere that the girth is meant to be used "until you find your perfect length."
*Lifesaver literally. Bought this as a backup to a flip-line spur kit.✡✡>**allmy.tips/ClimbingAscender?126** it has held when it had to. Doesn't descend smoothly without completely disengaging it, but that's not what it's meant for.*

Thank you Richard for all your hard work and time.
Glad to see it back Richard! It is truly better than the other guys! Love the retractable key chain idea!
Just purchased the wrist rocket and minni saka. Thanks for all your work and ideas
Now that was classically hilarious!!
I can remember back in the day before the saka came out, we were using the hand ascender beneath the hitch.
awesome video Richard! It was great meeting you at legends. i just bought the saka mini and cant wait to give it a go.

Richard, You will preserver! The canopy is large enough for multiple accenders! ~Justin
Gotta say this would make my life a heck of a lot easier !!
GREAT opening! That made my day
Just ordered mine. Can't wait! Thanks for this, well done. Hoping it's quite a bit lighter and less bulky than my current setup.
Great work Richard! 👍👍
Just ordered mine! Can't wait to try it out!
You are the coolest. I gotta get a mini
And this after I just bought the regular! ;) I like it and this is another great innovation

Thanks, that is good to hear.
Thanks, me too. Plus I often move the connection around.
Awesome Richard. Too funny though, bad case of the Sometimers. Haha
Nice! just bought one. Thank you!

Jamison Timberfalling options are great to have.
This is great Richard 👍

It is removed on descent. It's for an automatic rope walking ascent.
Great stuff
Good afternoon Richard
