    Dude that was awesome, I'm on verge of changing my brake oil it's been 2.5years and had same idea of first removing oil from mst cylinder and then filling new oil n bleeding brake lines but was not sure if air will enter brake line if I remove oil first, your video clarified. Thanks man

    Hello brother, i have fzs v3 , when i apply front brake the lever comes completely near accelerator, but bike fails to stop. If immediately released and the lever is pulled second time, the break works. This has to be repeated every time to use front brake, please tell what to do. The service centre guys are saying to change abs which costs 15k, the abs indicator if fine after turning the vehicle on. As i said break works if lever is pulled secnd time. Please reply.

    Hi, Can you please upload a video on, how to change the MC kit? My front breaks feels really spongy, when checked with a couple of experts, they recommend bleeding the fluid, then changing the MC kit!

    • @LifeofPal
      @LifeofPal  2 роки тому

      Spongy has nothing to do with MC kit. Change the fluid and problem will resolve. MC kit doesnt go bad so early unless moisture damages it. Mine is running fine from 5+ yrs

      @@LifeofPal Thank you so much for responding, I am planning to clean the cylinder and bleed the break fluid.
      On another note, your videos are immensely helpful for me, I had been an FZ25 owner for the past 4+ years (2018 model) and right now I started to do small repair jobs myself, its really rewarding. Thank you for your support. : )

      @@danymanuel9897 unless you feel jitter ness in the lever, you dont need to open.

    • @danymanuel9897
      @danymanuel9897 2 роки тому

      @@LifeofPal Hi Pal, I am confused, in the previous reply you asked me to change (bleed) the break fluid, just now you told me, I don't need to open unless I have jitter ness on my lever.
      My real issue is, when I use 1 finger for breaking
      1. during a sudden break, the lever touches my other fingers on the throttle. So I suspected "spongy" breaking (I suspect air trapped inside/old break fluid -- my solution: I planned to change the fluid, and clean the cylinders since I am opening the master cylinder)
      2. the break lever wont go all the way back, and that makes the rear break light to be on all the time (I suspect the spring in the MC kit - my solution: change the spring and the whole kit).
      Please suggest a better method to eliminate these issues.
      Also in the owner's manual, I saw Yamaha recommending Lithium Soam Based Grease for some moving parts, I couldn't find it anywhere, any suggestions?

    • @LifeofPal
      @LifeofPal  2 роки тому

      @@danymanuel9897 so first you told there is air in the system and now you said lever play is too much.
      If lever play is too much only because of air in the system then you don't need to open MC. Thats what i said. Only if you are sure of the air. Air makes it spongy.
      There is a difference between feeling spongy and too much play. Feeling spongy have difficult in get the bite, usually hard pressing. Whereas in case of play issue. Bite is there but very close to grip.
      If your issue is second go with rebuilt.

    Why bleeding is imp!!! I remember a mechanic did all these steps on my car's brakes three years back. After that only top up work is done. My car's brakes are not performing good now. Braking process is delayed by a huge margin. I should ask a good mechanic to use these steps in my car's brakes as well. My bike is two years old so I have time to do bleeding process for my bike. 😊 Sorry discussing car instead of bike more in this video.
