I am here at Uttarakhand, and i want to get my bike repaired at lucknow from where i belong....So please help me with this one, can i ride it back to lucknow With the present condition? The distance is about 700kms,and front disc brakes are also not working due to this issue.... Please reply asap, i tried to search u on insta, but i couldn't.... Please help❤️
Thanks a lot for the upload bro! Your explanation is really good and detailed. I changed my fz v1 fork oil seals following your steps. So for all the beginners here are a few more tips from things i faced 1) the T handle is available at amazon for Rs 300 and instead of seal driver I used PVC pipe of approx 3ft long(ask for 1.5inch pipe) and rubber mallet. 2)when removing the lower hex bolt make sure you use the hex key exactly as shown in the video, NEVER use it horizontally(it wont go all the way in). I was careless and ended up rounding off the head and had to replace the bolt. 4) The oil capacity in service manual was 459ml each for v1. Alternatively you can verify the correct level by measuring from top of the inner tube till oil level after filling oil and before inserting spring. It should be 87mm. I used Motul 20W heavy oil and feels its way better than the oe type. 5) The washer that comes on top of the spring must be placed carefully before inserting the small tube. When dropping in oil it turned over and I couldn't see it in the oil. The top cap almost closed but luckily it didn't and I had to check it again to find out. 6) If your fork has rust spots on top half, make sure to wet sand it before installing new seal. I used waterproof paper of 1500 first and then 2000 along with wd40. If you don't do this it will damage the new seal. Just keep these in mind and follow all the steps carefully shown in this video and you can do it yourself even if you are a beginner. Hope this helps 😊
