- A review of the JOYO Bantamp 20W amplifier, the Zombie 2!
A dual channel Rectifier clone with foot switch, effects loop, valve preamp and solid state power amp!
I've got one the way in 2024. I plan on using an eq in the FX loop and running the preamp into a Seymour Duncan Powerstage for 100 watts if needed live.
how you like it? I just ordered it on amazon its on sale
Good review! Bought it for practice, more than enough!
Thank you! I still use mine all the time
You're not really restricted by it having a tone control. Amps that price usually have narrow ranged EQ's anyway.
Everyone keeps saying its dual tec, but Im 99% sure its a Mk II. Which would make much more sense of the name.
The ii in the joyo name is referencing that it has a clean channel and gain channel. The zombie (I) just had the gain channel
@@Rosboroughit had clean, no footswitching or independent controls though.
can this be use with out connecting speaker, only headphone?
Yeah it has a headphone out in the back. It's not as nice as through a speaker cab though. If you're looking for a headphone solution, I'd have a look at some multi FX pedals available as they do great cab simulation - but if you're going to gig through a cab but practice with headphones at home - this will do it
¿It can emulate a Santana tone?, Thanks
At lower gain it is possible but the gain is so heavy so quickly it might be difficult to find the sweet spot.
I have a video on the caline Easy Driver pedal. I think this would be easier to use for the santana tone
@@Rosborough thanks for your knowledge, thanks for your time!!!
No problem! Any time!
