Love my zombie 2 been rocking it for about two years now , put a overdrive on her with a noise gate and man you have a metal beast ! Definitely worth the money and you can most definitely jam with a band and gig small gigs with it , so loud for how small , at home i cant put it past 3 volume wise !!!
That was my thoughts as well it is rather rudimentary as far as EQ is concerned but does a decent job for what it is. To be fair though even with Amos that have 3 band incorporated EQ sections I still add an EQ pedal especially if it is a full solid state amplifier as they tend to get really flubby when you start adding intense amounts of gain.
I love my Zombie. Its efx return is before the master volume so it also makes a great lil stereo expansion amp. For home use 🤘🏽. I run mine into a 412 cab and it sounds awesome. 😎 wish id waited for the channel switching version.
Oh yeah? I didn't know that, thanks for letting me know, I'll have to give it a try using it that way. Nah, the one you got is cool, clean is for suuuuuuckers! 😉😂
the little bantamps might ruin your experience when you plug back into your regular tube amp because you might just find your regular amp to be lacking
Not a tube amp but my Randall RX120D sounds disappointing now. It's still louder though (by A LOT) so I've used it as a slave unit for the Zombie sometimes. It sounded just like if I had a powerful 100 watt Mesa in the room
i borrowed my friends zombie 1 for close to a year i wanted to try my randall rg50 tube amp as a slave and go through one of my 4x12s , i just never got around to it , i am going to get my own zombie ll soon, may try it then @@James.99
we are all sooo lucky these days to have budget gear as nice as we do. when i was coming up, you had 2 options: expensive, or garbage. that was it. this amp isn't really for me, but it's still cool if that sound is what you're after.
That reminds me of the time Murderface wanted to start his own band and the producer said "that's a good kind of problem" when he asked if his side project was going to be more successful lol. Good for you, that is awesome to "level up" !
This amp I feel like can get a pretty cheap dimebag sound is what it sounds like to me , more then a rectifier, I’m waiting on mine to show up , I’m gonna try and run the preamp of it into my dsl 40 combo and also a 4x12 Friedman cab
I don't know what it is about this amp, but I played a gig with it last week and near the end our drummer was going full bore (he digs in) and I had the gain and volume at 12 o'clock in a moderate sized room. It was my biggest concern buying this thing hoping to use it as a more portable amp, but honestly into a 2x12 its got more than enough volume to keep up with a full kit and a loud drummer.
I have the MeteOR and while it’s neat, I find it lacks clarity and is just not loud enough to be heard over a drummer. Have you found different models have different overall volume?
Hi. Can i confirm that one of the 2 included cables ( the long one) is a speaker cable but many say its a foot switch cable ( while most agree that the short one is probably a patch cable)
I hate lunchbox heads because they are a nightmare for amp techs to do maintenance on. I hate Mesa Boogie because they are a nightmare for amp techs to do maintenance on. I love the Joyo Zombie because it sounds phenomenal for only $180! If this amp stops working in 5 years, I can just buy another because it's only $180

the tube is most of the gain. substituting in a 12AU7 turns it down so you can get a crunch out of it.
That's really interesting and good to know. Thank you!
I've had this for over a year and I love it! Sounds great with Mesa 2x12!
Oh yeah? Very cool! I bet it sounds amazing with that Mesa!
8:50 sounds like early 2000s as i lay dying , shadows are security tones, thats awesome !
They're definitely a big influence on my playing and sound 😊 Thanks!
Best sound of the Zombie II demo videos on YT.
I have one I love it the tone for the $$ is crazy good. I put a 6 band EQ in the loop like it even more.

Everytime you play a specific clean riff I think of Ballad of Jane haha. There was another that reminded me of Silent Lucidity. Sick

I think you might be right 😬 Was almost too easy to get a good sound from this little thing!

i just sold mine but these are awesome. i had to go way bigger to gear up for live play.

Completely agree! Congratulations @jesusthugmusic !
I put a 10 band eq into the effects loop and man it’s amazing
That's a great idea. I'm definitely going to give that a try. What a cool amp! Thanks for the comment.
What settings?
If only these existed 20 years ago!

I hear so many mesa owners saying that this sounds better than a real rectifier
Love Mine, great mini amp for home Riffage
Good to hear! Yeah it's so great for home

The longer one says "low noise instrument cable" on it, it is for the foot switch. The short one is the speaker cable
between this and the TC Electronic Dual Wreck which one would you suggest?
It chugs
Those riffs were very Creed and Bullet For My Valentine.. sounds pretty good now just add a Valeton GP200 and you have a great rig for less than $500
Do you run you Valeton into the input or through the effects loop?

It’s actually way better laid out then a Boogie amp . An way better then the Peavy classic series ( the newer ones) not the 80s old school monster
Maybe you just suck at your job
Jake riffs so hard he don't even need to plug in to his amps, they just do what he says!
😂 Haha!! I love this, thanks so much man!!
To be fair, you play really well, so you could just be making this amp look good.😅
I hate the MXR carbon copy delay , I’ll Take a yellow Donner over it any day lol
No experience with this amp. Nice price and sound.
It's a very cool. Definitely agree on the price and sound!
Oh you brits and your valves.
i think that this amp must be a pedal.... a stompbox amp
