Honestly the criminal justice system has ALWAYS been flawed (especially back in the OLD OLD days) and I just dont know how its going to get fixed or even just "better".
Bushcraft Jon I can’t believe the USA still has the death penalty in certain states, it seems inhumane. Surely if certain states abolish it the whole country should.
Really like this guys Netflix show, literally watched every episode about 5 times. Great job getting a great guest on the show, try to get more non UA-cam guests if possible
Raphael, you show complete strength of character for being able to move on despite this injustice. You are an inspiration and deserve life long peace and happiness
Been watching Raphael's documentaries on Netflix since you mentioned him on livestream. He's amazing. Some of the people he met in prison were abhorrent but he does an amazing job.
Always been blown away by how well he handled the extreme prisons series, always really respectful but never afraid to ask really difficult questions and tell people what he thinks of them. I really admire the man and the way he's used his life experiences to inform and educate people about what life is like for others. Amazing to see guests like this on the podcast guys, absolutely smashing it x
If anyone is interested, their is a book called "the secret barrister: stories of the law and how its broken". Really opens the eyes to how awful our criminal justice system is
I listened to the podcast today, absolutely mental story, what a guy Raphael is, to stay sane in them 12 years and still have the belief he would be proven innocent, just amazing. Two and a half hours flew by, which is great when i’m working from home! Could listen to this guy for hours and hours! Top content 👍🏻
Can't wait to see the full podcast. I've always wanted to hear the full story, after hearing him talk about it at the start of his show 'Inside The World's Toughest Prisons'.
Can’t wait for the full pod to be on UA-cam. I know it’s already available on Spotify but I prefer watching it on the TV with a cuppa or beer depending.
Cannot wait for this episode.. the series he worked on with Netflix “inside the world toughest prisons” is something I’d recommend to anyone. Gonna be a big banger this sir dean.
Can't imagine my freedom being taken from me at 19 out of the blue...that's insane! Edit: Also absolutely terrifying that the police just stitch people up and ruin their lives like this.
Remember police are just humans like the rest of us...remember we are all born the same its who we become that determines are actions...these police are just scum (not all are at all) but these people are awful awful humans
Always great to hear these stories and it’s extremely important to not perpetuate this ignorance and poor police work. Also why is stevies mic louder than everyone else’s? Anyone else feel the same. It’s not a major issue just thought I’d let you know.
I was in HMP Maidstone when he was there I remember there were protests outside the gate trying to get justice for this man, side note Reg Kray was also there at the time. Glad the truth came out for him but can never get those years back, I sincerely hope he has a long and happy life now but it must be hard not to be bitter.
oi Jack maateeeee, you are doing a sick job with guests at the moment. Weller, Stephen Tries and now a ninja turtle. Nah jokes this guy has an amazing story and I can not wait for the full podcast. should definitely check his Netflix series Worlds Toughest Prisons? or something like that. keep up the amazing work Jack
Rafael is being kind when he says the police didn't fit him up. In any profession or trade, one changes course if nothing fits the way it should. The police were not doing their job properly, ( i.e. protecting the public from dangerous killers)... by continuing to prosecute the wrong people.
Not innocent just prosecuted correctly. The officers in question should be punished if anything was proved to be wrong, totally agree. To say these men are innocent is ridiculous..!
Flaming traumatising .... I don’t know how he does what he does , pure passion “ . These are the ones that deserve the word ( so wrongly used) have big respect for . . He’s come out of the hell hole and climbed the ladder to well’ ,”how ever far he wants now !
I know exactly what this is like, not personally me, but my Mum and Step dad was put into prison for BRUTALLY Murdering my Dad .. they went to prison on NO evidence other then bent officers and all the rest of who claimed it to be a love triangle, and changed the story whenever it didnt fit to try keep there story in line with what they was finding, his murders are still out there and my parents got equited.. but they RUINED our lives... and ignored all the evidence that showed it was other people!! But they never tried to look for the other people they just kept with the story they wanted it to be and to get a quick conviction...
You’ve just got to think how many people have been falsely accused in many prisons and who haven’t been exonerated
And those innocent who have been put to death 😞
And those who are guilty are walking the streets to this day
Honestly the criminal justice system has ALWAYS been flawed (especially back in the OLD OLD days) and I just dont know how its going to get fixed or even just "better".

To see your life turn upside at 19 must be horrifying
He already was taking drugs, been to jail and already had charges. His life was going this way anyway
@@BeyondGaming1101 not really people can do drugs casually when there younger and move on to a better life
Beyond Gaming Most 18 year olds do
Beyond Gaming a lot of people at that age do party drugs and that and are fine now. Have family’s and a nice job etc
Beyond Gaming if you think being a drug user and small time criminal is a likely path to being accused of murder you’ve lived a very sheltered life
