SOLGW is great. Purchased one of their 13.7” rifles. Had a small issue. Called in and talked to Mike on a holiday weekend (while he was home with his family). He asked me to send it back. They repaired it and had it turned around quickly. Runs like a top now. Very pleased.
How a company takes care of a client after the sale is really what determines the integrity and quality of said company. I’ve had to send a Wilson Combat and Nighthawk pistol back, both companies took extremely good care of me and resolved the issue! Rick
Can't begin to express how much respect ive got for Mike. He truly cares about every product that leaves the shop. You know he stands by his products just from the warranty🤘 Hope all is going well sir. Keep doin your thing brother🍻🙏
Mike is a great example of the benefits of having a company leader who doesn't lose sight of the mission. So many companies have customer-facing leaders who don't have a well-defined mission, get caught up in the fame and attention and success, and damage their company's reputations. Mike likes running a company that builds quality rifles and stays focused on that mission and that is reflected in their success.
The SOLGW behind the scenes has been cool. I know Mike knows his stuff and cares but the qc is truly next level and makes me even more confident in their product. Their anodizing really is top notch as well as the best fit of any receivers I've purchased.
Really cool interview Ivan. I actually just purchased my first AR and it is a SOLGW 13.7 with a PW nox. I have watched a lot of SOLGW videos and have read they make a nice rifle, a bonus is the warranty.
My 13.9 upper and bcg from SOLGW will be here Saturday, and it's going to be a wonderful replacement to my current HD setup. So excited. Did lots of research, and went with Sons over BCM.
Recently bcm has been losing their shirt because they dont have the CS people think they do. a one time barrel replacement for 100 rounds down the pipe and you get 3 moa?
Ever since I installed my blaster guts lower parts kit I've been a big fan of the attention to detail and quality in even the smallest parts. I'll be going to sons of liberty for any part I can in the future!
That's why I've always admired Colt . Man they could crank thousand M4s a week and maintain that insane QC per TDP . Theres only couple manufacturers that can actually do that and maintain that QC . I picked up the SOLGW East India Upper. It's a no thrills or frills Upper that just runs like a top . I actually use the East India Upper for my 2 Gun Rifle .
I have a bcm, solgw, ddm4a1, le6920 from 2008. Hands down the solgw and bcm are the nicest shooting. But I've swapped muzzle device, a few other things on the bcm. But the solgw shot the best out of the box without any modifications.
I like what Mike and solgw do. Their customer service is night and day compared to how bcm treated me. My bcm barrel was cracking and averaging 3 moa in under 1500 rounds. I did a 600 round carbine course, I mostly shoot suppressed and the other 900 rounds were just from normal range shooting. Apparently bcm barrels are only meant for shooting the Military recommended cadence of 12-15 rounds per minute lol. But don’t worry I got my “courtesy 1 time replacement” smh. Mike and his company do things the right way at a cost that is very accessible.
My only complaint is we talk about “performance performance performance” but I have 2 factory build SOLGW guns a 13.7 and a 11.5 and the gas block is not pinned although there is a notch for a pin. I just expected that to be handled so I wouldn’t have to remove the factory seal on the handguard. Just a small complaint but it is true and I wish it were pinned.
thats a secondary option if you want it or not. a proper dimpled barrel with the set screws they use is more than enough. The set screws have a knurling of sort in them that actually grabs barrel material
Day 17 of commenting: I will continue to comment until I rally enough support to get Ivan a home. He is too good of a man to be left out in the elements every video.
I just bought my 2nd SOLGW rifle, oh, I mean " Pistol".........retired LEO of 27 years, if you want a "REAL" purpose..duty...real deal weapon....stop your search...go buy a SOLGW! PERIOD!!
Lots of respect for a CEO that will give you his personal cel number if you have a problem with his product . The gentlemen that they have on tap for consultation ? Pressburg ,Fisher, Cowan ? Heavy. I may never get to tell Mike how much I just like the guy and his company ..ill just buy another rifle ..lookin for a Fisher signature !
Yep, had two of their lowers that were total garbage. Wasn't impressed by their upper either. Very rude customer service if you could get ahold of them. And they don't make anything in house as far as I know.
Yeah, they're very good at choosing manufacturers as their OEM's and doing a good job assembling. Microbest is a great choice for a mil standard BCG, Mega Arms is a great choice for their uppers/lowers and hanguards and they're very lucky to be getting those parts with rail designs by Mega/Hodge (on their more expensive models), B5, Vltor, even Forward Controls Designs stuff co-branded with them. I still wish they would stop defending BA barrels as being just as good as anything out there or implying that it's made so perfectly to their spec that it's basically a BCM CHF grade barrel when it's still just a BA base model barrel and all of the "specs" happen to be the same as the BA barrels. It's not like BA is making a custom barrel for them. If they want to live up to their own hype, they should be providing a CHF chrome lined barrel like any proper fighting carbine has and look into profiles that shift the weight toward the rear of the gun to offset the weight of modern fighting rifles with lights and lasers and suppressors up front, and also look into more conservative gassing that will be more optimized for suppressed use. You don't have to make the gas port TOO small, but it can be smaller than what they get from Ballistic Advantage and still be more than reliable.
@Aaron Dragg I agree with you 100% BA is holding them back from being damn near top of the mid tier. They demand a premium for a non CHF CL barrel. which, at this day and age, is just unacceptable. I honestly love what they do and the companies that back them, just not gonna put out the money they ask for.

Agreed, that's thanks to Mega Arms though.

You won’t be disappointed
13.9” 😎
@@andyflores573 no sir. The m4 Exo 3 13.7” is what I’m getting. Look it up, amazing value, and best gun at the price in my opinion.

the solgw that i been looking for the past 4 months is the M4-C4 16. i can't wait for them to go back to custom orders so i can get that rifle.
got mine for $1100 on bigtex
All man made mechanics are no where near perfect, but I love to see a company keep trying.

Ready for that custom shop to open up. Need myself a Timothy Murphy!
After my aero build,SOLGW will be the next

I'm sure you'll live through it
@@dontfallyoumighthurtyourse4694 my comment is an example of constructive criticism.
They should really look into CL barrels atleast, if not Chf Cl.
The data is out and there is a negligible difference, if any, between CL and Nitrided barrels.

Still overpriced for what they are and they don't manufacture anything, just assemble
