That Cobra tank carrier helo is what I hope haslab does next. They could do a troop container, and a upgraded heavy hiss tank as stretch goals. Your Dragon hawk video is a great example of storytelling with helicopters as vehicle transports. Thanks for the great videos.

I just discovered your channel. Long after I already painted one of these blue, by simply masking it off. Not disassembling it. Mine is meant to be Zartan's helicopter from early issues of the comics. ZTN-456, the helicopter that is fitted with holographic projectors. Last seen disguised as a city bus with too many skulls on it. I specialize in custom action figures, so I made the bus driver disguise (figure) for Zartan, and the granny lady (who is really the Soft Master in disguise) The interior of my helicopter has a few discarded grape soda bottles rolling around the cargo area, as well. I did find a Playmobil bus, missing tons of pieces, that I'm really trying to modify for 25th Anniversary and onward GI Joe figures, to accommodate the Bus Driver Zartan as well. And repair/replace all the doors and roof pieces. It's pretty trial-and-error, so far.

Cracking set of choppers there, always loving these conversions. Thank you. I use the Krylon Fusion because it claims to be all in one - primer, paint, sealer. Probably exaggerated but I don't have tons of free time so if I can skip a few steps here and there, I'll give it a try. So far I've been really impressed with how well it works. But I'm also not going for scale model quality finish. These aren't 1/144 scale so a few bumps here and there are fine with me. I do like Tamiya primer and paints for detailed bits that won't get a lot of play. The Krylon takes a beating. Thanks for the comment. I'm always looking for better ways to do things. That was about ten or fifteen years back. Freedom eagle or some crap like that I'm sure somebody knows what they renamed it. Can't use the name Tomahawk anymore they consider that Politically Incorrect these days. I think they renamed Spirit Freedom eagle for that reason. Pretty sure they renamed Spirit when they brought him out for classified.
Honestly I'd love to see them do a classified scale GI Joe Battle platform tomahawk and a vamp . but seeing the direction they went with the hiss tank and the sky Striker we all know the kind of price tag Hasbro would be waving around and of course they'd make it a Kickstarter and only do like 500 or some foolishness like that sing it be like $1,500 for a battle platform and Tomahawk would be like 800 Vamp would be around three or four hundred weather bunch of gimmicks like working lights and missile sounds as an excuse to make the price higher. I can only imagine what they do to the tomahawk and the battle platform as reasoning for jacking the price up so that only one out of every 500 collectors could even afford it;).

a longer helico would be better, but if you want easy - simple, this is it.
once again, I so much agree that Hasbro should have done this.
I had the tomahawk, rarely used it because it did nt do anything more than the dragonfly.
the rear hatch door was a joke, nothing could get in there.
I kept it for my desert team with the vamp 2 and desert fox + mobile HQ.
the dino copter looks cool, it has the tiger force colour scheme.
I looked up the hind copter by curiosity, but it s far from accurate.
only one seat for the pilot, no gunner seat, the side wings are way too high.
same old cheap trick to down scale a few notches for price point.
accurately scaled vehicles are few and far between.
21 century toys were really good, but they have bankrupt.
their tanks and helicopters were top notch, and not so expensive.
I have no house, and was not into collecting at that time,
so I missed on that, no one matches them today.
Hasbro made quite a decent hummer around 2008,
if I d collect now, I d go for realism with classic joe figures and customs too.
quite much like you do, good work!

Yeah, this is a great option to get something fast. A weekend project. I'm planning to do my own hind at some point but it'd be so much work. It needs the two seats. I also have a 1:18 huey kit I need to build. Someone told me it's based on the 21st Century toys huey. I also have a 21st century F-16 and German Stukha but they are huge next to the Joe scale stuff. On the Joe Mauler Works channel he shows some examples of how Joe vehicles, like the skystriker, are really at 1/32 scale. Thanks again for watching. Glad you found this project interesting.

@@ActionRobotPunch yeah, I suspected as much, the cockpit was suspicious, like if it was a little too big in proportion to the rest of the plane. the mobat tank was also quite small to scale right. it was a joke compared to 21 century tanks. thanks!

This aircraft is not a CH-47 Chinook, instead it's a CH-46 Sea Knight, because of where the engines are, and it has tricycle landing gear, instead of the quadracycle landing gear used by the Chinook. Now, the engines on the Chinook are mounted on pylons located on both sides of the rear rotor housing, and the Sea Knight's engines are located inside the rear rotor housing. Also, the Chinook has long sponsons running the entire length of the fuselage, and the Sea Knight has tiny stub wing style sponsons, instead. Oh, and the CH-47's name isn't pronounced "Chinook" instead it's pronounced "Shinook". So you need to go and look at photos of both aircraft yourself in order to see the various differences of the two aircraft. Oh, and one more thing: The original GI JOE toy line did not come out in the 70's like you said, instead, Hasbro released it in the mid to late 60's.

Thanks for all the information about the CH-46. The video is discussing Gi Joe ARAH. That line started in the early 80s (almost a decade after the end of the Vietnam War). Thanks for watching.

Yeah. Definitely like a mashup of a Huey and Ch-46.
