The ferrule that hooks into the silver rectangular "tray" was stuffed inside the black rubber piece on my bike kit. It took a bit of wrangling to remove it, but once I got it out, it all made sense.
You could have included the adjustment of brakes if they're a bit out of balance, since you already need to have a cross tip screwdriver for the reflectors.
Hi OniJon! We did a separate video on the adjustment of brakes, which you can also find on our UA-cam channel: ua-cam.com/video/hclZ4JmPHJA/v-deo.html.
A video for aligning the front wheel would be nice. For a few days I've been trying to put on the wheel, but when I close the quick release, it tilts the wheel slightly, resulting in wobble.
Hi! Thanks for your feedback! If you still need help aligning your front wheel we'd recommend directly contacting our colleagues at woom@woom.com. They are happy to help you and definitely will find a good solution for you. Kind regards, Leonard
I love that how easily the handlebar has been attached. I am assembling now a Woom 4 and it is as stiff that I can barely move it, of course both screws are fully open/removed and still it is not moving.
Hi Gábor! If you're still in need of help with the handlebar we'd recommend writing directly to our colleagues at woom@woom.com. They are happy to help and will certainly find a solution for your problem. Kind regards, Leonard
Hi, the brake lever on one of the handlebars on the unit we received appears disconnected from the brake line. As a result the rear brakes work, but not the front. Do you have a video or instructions on how to reconnect? Also, I hear a whistling sound when my daughter rides on the bike - is that normal?
Hi Shajib! We do have a video on how to adjust the brakes maybe that helps. But as the brakes are a very important part of the bike we would recommend that you contact our Customer-Service at woom@woom.com our colleagues will happily help you and find a good solution for your problem. As for the whistling sound, that should be totally normal. But it would help if you could maybe send a video of when that soundis happening so we can check that for you just to make sure. Kind regards, Leonard
At 3:18 in this video the guy attaches the front brake. There is a tiny metal piece that he slips into the cradle, but my bike doesn’t have that piece. There is literally no way to attach the front brake.
Hi! Please send us an E-Mail with some Pictures or a video of the issue with your front brake to woom@woom.com. Our Colleagues will look into it and certainly find a good solution for you. Kind regards, Leonard
The assembly order in this video is different than what comes with the bike. Also, you skip over key details on bolt placement, adjusting the brakes, and troubleshooting very common issues. Do better.
I have an previous WOOM 4, but just noticed than in new one there are finally Ergogrips. Will I be able to update handlebar of our bike, and substitute foam-a-like grops with sold separately Ergogrips?
@@woombikes sorry, but I'm not following your answer. What does stem has to do with grips? I just want to swich grips on woom 4, and '21 model has probably the same handlebar as '19/20 model? So I thought I could mount new grips. The only difference I noticed in handlebar area is different shifter model (ours has X4 vs SX4), but I wouldnt change it anyway.
Hi Monika! No, this is not possible. For woom 4 a kickstand in size M is necessary, which does not come with the bike and has to be ordered separately.
@@woombikes Actually, you are mistaken - here in the United States i just went to the website to order one, and it said clearly that any woom bike ordered after Oct 15, 2019 automatically comes with a kickstand; maybe your comment is applicable to another country? us.woombikes.com/products/kickstand?variant=35762372477078
Guys, what about the stem's top bolt that should be tightened to 1.5Nm you never mention in this video and only show you two side bolts that usually are tightened after finishing with the top one???
@@woombikes Hi, in majority of bikes you need to keep the side bolts loose in order to set correct preload on the top bolt then once set you tighten the side two bolts - is your design different and if so what's the purpose of the top bolt if one doesn't need to set up preload? "As long as the stem bolts are tight the top cap bolt won’t do anything. You need to loosen the stem bolts before making any adjustments." "Think about it this way, the top cap ensures proper compression of the headset bearings as so that they move with seizing and don't rock with play. The stem bolts are there to keep the fork oriented straight. If you tighten the stem bolts before the top cap there will be play in your bearings most likely. Tldr: top cap then stem bolts"
Instructions are incomplete. There are Phillips screws that seem loose on brake assembly. This video shows 1 second of inserting brakes, but it's not nearly so easy when I try, and it's not clear why. I can't tell if this thing is put together well or not, and the Ikea quality instructions are not helping. 0/5 for assembly, at this price point I would expect better.
Hi soundstation513! If you have any questions about the instructions, you can always send us an email to woom@woom.com. My colleagues will be happy to help you. Best regards, Fabienne from woom
Hi Matej! We are very sorry about this! Please get in touch with our customer service at woom@woom.com if you purchased the bike from us directly or with your woom retailer. Kind regards, Verena
These instructions are wildly insufficient. It doesn’t address the brakes at all! What are you supposed to do with all these half screwed in screws? My back wheel is so tight it wont move and the front wheel is so loose the brakes don’t touch. But you give brakes 1 millisecond in this video. Insane for a $600 bike!
Hi @jamindi! If you have any questions, you can always contact our customer service team at woom@woom.com. My colleagues will be happy to help you. Best regards, Fabienne from woom
I would have appreciated more than 1 millisecond on the brake cable setup
Literally the only difficult part with lots of ways to go wrong and the just gloss over it.
I cannot figure this out. Terrible !

It's under the dust cover black piece. Not at all easy to get out but it's there.
I don't get it, if I follow the rotation marker on the tyre then I have to put the quick release on the right?

Hi czapla1980! The handlebar was changed with the new model so that the ergogrip does not fit the "old" handlebar.
Can i use the Woom3 kickstand on the Woom4?
