My old choir teacher took me from being a solid baritone to competitively singing at the 1st tenor spot. One more thing I want to mention is, this is true song writing. From the far from typical chords progressions and modulations in today's music, this is what is sadly missing currently. I wish we would embrace this more today. Music has gotten so soulless and surgical now.
Sounds a lot like you’re listening to the wrong music. There has always been soulless and shitty music, it just gets forgotten like the shitty music these days will.
@@NickNnight 😊 actually I listen to a lot of stuff that doesn't sell or become popular. You know, real music that isn't shitty and waiting to be forgotten. My point was, we used to appreciate real musicianship and song writing more than we do now. Maybe next time you should think about it before you insinuate someone is an idiot. 🤔🙂
The qualities you’re mentioning, in terms of songwriting, are the influence of jazz chord progressions, which worked their way into R&B and soul. Basic rock, and roots stuff, and laminated those extended cords, and kept with basic progressions. When Rap started, it was really just poetry with beats. The poetry was the point. As rap evolved, the lyrics, the rhymes, the poetry evolve, but the music behind it didn’t. So I’m talking about bands, like Earth, wind and fire, who worked those extended chord, progressions in, even Michael Jackson create a complex harmonies. Today they were far fewer, trained musicians riding, and they haven’t been schooled in those richer cord progressions that came originally from jazz. I’m out of a lazy riding and performing these days. That’s what I hear.
It's so beautifull to see your smile, that happens ( I think ) when musicians get in sync with the understanding of what's going on and get blown away by the beauty of what you hear, that touches your deepest emotions...smile and cry at the same time. That's an experience that's extatic...thx for this! All the best from the Netherlands

I'm so excited for the album! It's going to be special! If you want to hear more Paak, his Tiny Desk Concert with NPR is amazing!
They're so far down that 70s rabbit hole they're teasing singles months before the album drops!
It's still amazing to turn on the radio or UA-cam and hear my good friend Peter. Classmates since we were 7th grade. Me and him would jam music and sing in stairwells for da ladies lol.
I wish you would've done one of the live versions. So much more vocal range and creativity in both of their voices. Incredible performes, musicians and composers. This will definetly be an album that marks music history.
Celebrate excellence, diversity will take care of itself.
I've seen a lot of reactions to this. Loved your joy while watching/listening and 👏🏾
And yes: Paak is super charismatic (along with being crazy talented) ❤
It's fun to understand that context of the song in which the progression of the singing evolves. Greatly appreciated.
Guess we all know the song being played in Elizabeth's room lol.
Oh my
😏
The rainstick sound is a guitar with lots of reverb, very jazzy and R&B.
That's what I was thinking. Super wet reverb and probably even a slight delay going into that. I was looking for the comment to make sure it wasn't already said. 😂
Great song. Amazing music. And that key change is just life^^
p.s Bruno Mars performance at Súper bowl is easily one of the best performances I’ve ever seen.
Indeed!❤️
Every time this pops up on my feed, I have to watch it. It's funny that you talk about how fun it is to hear the smile in someone's voice because that's exactly what made me sub. Hearing the joy you take from listening to these songs is so pure and amazing.
I am still smiling from the Fear of the dark reaction.😀 The one other band that make me feel the same way is watching Van Halen live, in particular with Sammy Hagar. The 5150 song followed by the call and response singing with Eddie(s guitar) beginning of Best of Both World on the Live without a Net video is top notch and I would love to hear your analyse of Sammy’s voice.
Don't know how well it fits in with Silk Sonic, but When It's Love, from OU812, is a good song as well.
Again...I can't say enough how much I love your "Pillsbury Dough Boy Poked In The Gut" Laugh. ❤❤❤❤❤
The sound I think you were talking about sounds something like a larger vibraslap.
Bruno Mars has been a staple of taking the talent of Michael Jackson to the next generation in my humble opinion. The guy is a phenom
Im in love and i think shes too

Now do the live version from The Grammys which doesn’t seem to get copyrighted somehow and fall in love with this incredible colab even more
Love ur channel. This song is smoking hot!
I think you would enjoy listening to Jill Scott perform
Feel good song
Seems youre feeling the song so much😊 theres a female version of that already, pls react to 4TH IMPACT cover😉✌️
I've seen like 25 reactions to this song, this is BY FAR my favourite one. Thank you.
It’s so refreshing for a new song not to have auto tune. At least, I don’t hear it.
Not every popular artist need auto tune. And these guys sure as hell don’t need it
I love that you are so child likely moved by their brilliance. You forget that you have an educated opinion on their performance. They are THAT good.
i like how every women's reaction to this song when bruno hits the falsetto
it looks like all the girls gone jelloid haha amazing
I love that song. But I watched that video just to see your face at the first « imma leave the door open ».
👍🏻😍
Great reaction/analyze of this marvelous piece. If you ever read this, The instrument you are looking for at 8:28 I think it a Latin Percussion instrument called VibraSlap
Sure is that it? I'm thinking it's a muted guitar string (B or G) being picked while the left hand slides down from above the pickups to the fretboard. The VibraSlap has a different timbre, I think
Exactly 70s soulful vibes..see the whole live performance on the Grammys...its even better 👐👐👐🙌🙌🙌🙌💃💃🕺💃💃💃💃👍👍👍
The channel certainly has diversity! This is quite a shift from Iron Maiden. I first heard Bruno Mars at work, and I could not believe it was a dude, let alone one named Bruno. But the dude has talent to spare, definitely legit. Not sure what is going on in that thumbnail, but it appears that EVERY muscle in your face is getting in on the act.
Elizabeth channel is the most musically diverse of any channel I know. She reacts to everything from Metal music to a teenage Russian contralto. To singers from here in the USA to singers all across the world. All of them done with fun and done in a way where the viewer learns more about that subject than they knew before.
@@johnforsyth7987 You've summed up the TCV experience very nicely, sir.
I think that Beth Roars’ channel is equally versatile. The only way a person wouldn’t mention her is if they don’t know her channel.
@@Rosannasfriend That's true. Beth is a sweetheart and she's game for anything.
@@Rosannasfriend You are correct. Her channel is quite diverse as well.
I love the way you broke the song down. You were great.❤️
This reminds me of 1960s Motown.
This isn't my kind of music but I recognize it's greatness.
I really enjoyed the song and your reaction. It is really fun watching your reactions, as you obviously enjoy and appreciate different genres of music.
I have to join the "You have to listen to the Anderson .Paak Tiny Desk Concert" brigade on this one. The man is talent in a suit of clothes.
A very good review, super proud of Bruno, Andy and Silk Sonic
My favorite Anderson Paak song is "come home" featuring Andre 3000 from OutKast
