That Swifty Boots thing seems like awful design, and not just because it affects Singed.
I can already imagine the horror scenario where ranged characters will keep kiting melee champs, who will never be able to hit the ranged champ, in a scenario where they both are using the same boots. That just sounds terrifying.
I think there are people who want the Ghost Summoner Spell to be changed, because it improves the kiting of ranged champs rather than just working as a gap closer for melee champs.
to be fair ghost is kinda busted right now. as an adc not taking ghost rn is just stupid

I've been yelling and yelling about these changes... it's a deliberate gutting of this champ. All these changes feel so pointed at Singed... I can't see how they didn't consider him in these decisions. I've been playing him since S2.. I honestly don't think I can play this game without him being the champion that he currently is. You're right, Minish. Singed is home.
Singed is a 100% unique champ, but RITO is trying to purposely cripple him to the point they're going to be like *"OOOOOh GEEEEEEZ, siNger iS sO bAd, hE nEEds to bE rEwOrked"* just because he isn't selling skins.

I'm a long-time Singed OTP and viewer of your streams, and I was relatively active in your chat during my college years during S6-S10 (SpectateBronzies was my old twitch name).
I think the writing was on the wall for Singed when the Predator mid lane build came onto Riot's radar as a "problematic" playstyle.
Back in the day I used Akeelo's AP-heavy builds with flash+ignite top lane and it felt like most lanes were winnable if you were genuinely the better player, save for ranged champions like kayle/teemo/heimer etc, but even then you had windows to punish them and maybe get a cheeky solo kill or two. I ran all the way to D1 with an 85% winrate off of matchup knowledge and this aggressive glass-cannon Singed style. This was the hardest 1v9 build that existed imo, but with by far the highest skill floor to make it work because you were so squishy and positioning/spacing mattered SO much more than a tankier build, but you would be a huge threat if allowed to get a lead.
You really can't make this playstyle work any longer because of two things: sustain creep and damage creep.
Second wind + Doran's Shield combo (especially on low hp) mixed with the slew of in-fight sustain tools granted to AD champions makes it almost impossible to solo kill them in lane unless they do something really stupid like get goo flipped into your turret. I think Nasus is the clearest example of this. You used to be able to dump on him early and set him far enough behind that you could win before he even became a threat. With his passive being buffed, fleet footwork being extremely strong, and Second Wind/DShield combo, from pretty early on in the game he can just ignore you and stack and you can't do anything about it.
There are also an absolutely disgusting amount of shields in the game right now between champions and items, making it really difficult to do very much to certain champions (especially if the enemy team has an enchanter).
Damage creep is reaching absurd levels for Singed's pitiful base stats (and flat resists from ulti given the slew of armor penetration buffs to various items/champions as well). At level 18, Singed has less base HP than most marksmen. Additionally, Riot giving every champion more MR per level, and Singed's poor access to magic pen without compromising tankiness puts him in a really awkward spot.
The glass cannon AP playstyle just doesn't work anymore for these reasons; even if you build full damage, you don't do nearly enough damage to be a threat to many champions 1v1 without getting nuked, but if you build tankier, you're still useless in a lot of matchups without perma-grouping and playing for teamfights.
The degenerate predator mid lane playstyle is a symptom of a larger issue with Singed, and I wish Riot would realize this themselves. If Singed had individual agency, he wouldn't be using a build that essentially trades lane resources/impact to play for your team (esp bot lane). I think some changes could help a lot:
- Numbers buff on poison trail (maybe increase base damage for lane impact and revert AP ratio nerf)
- CHANGE ULTI FROM FLAT RESISTS TO % REDUCTION, if we're going to put singed into a teamfight scaler niche and balance him around his ultimate uptime, then his ultimate shouldn't get melted like wet tissue paper even if Singed himself is building for more damage.
- Possibly give poison a "madness" passsive type of effect where targets who tank poison damage continuously take increased damage from poison up to a cap
- Give Singed W a corrosion passive effect like Morde's E passive, so that at max rank of W singed has x% bonus magic penetration
- Modify Singed passive to give bonus movement speed toward movement-impaired enemies in addition to the current effects
- Give Liandrys/Rylais the damage amp interaction again on the Liandrys Passive.
These are just some of my thoughts, I wholeheartedly agree with the point that Riot is putting Singed on a path to a rework, but I'd hope they can save his kit as one of the few original ones left in the game with some of the simple tweaks above. Thank you for providing so many years of entertainment and educational content for us, and thank you for always being so chill when I dropped into chat for all those years.
I was an old Aatrox OTP and this gives me PTSD. I quit league for a year after riot literally deleted his entire kit and made him a Riven v2. at this point if they take Singed away too then I solemnly vow to become a ranged toplaner player out of spite.
Singed's kit is timeless. Reworking him would be a crime. I feel like the type of champions I want to play get personally attacked. I love building swifties and play champs that use that. I especially hate them gutting anathema's. Whenever I play singed or a tank there is always that 200years champ where no matter what I build they just one shot, and anathema's was the only thing that alleviated that.
They gave Mundo that shitty HP item, but I want my swifties man! Then they go and give ADC's a 60 move speed item, because nothing is more fair than the ADC having more move speed than a melee champ that literally can't do anything if he can't touch you.
They clap master yi too, as if getting one shot by every champion past 25 minutes wasn't bad enough.
It's really not a hard fix from riot's perspective, just give singed 15 move speed and he will be fine.

You are completely right. As league has moved to center around esports, all decisions around champion design and balance have focused on what will make the most watchable experience with the most clippable moments. Everything that doesn't contribute to the game's 'hype' is being systematically removed or nerfed into unusability, such as point and click CC, permaslow (rip skarner), and meaningful damage without skill shots/positioning.
Singed is antithetical to an esport. His skill expression is through macro. Fling is point and click so there's no dance of barely missing skill shots and last minute dashes. The goop locks up the enemy and stops them from making a sick escape. Fuck, late game he doesn't even attack, he kills you by standing next to you. What kind of esport watcher experience does that make? How does that hook someone who came to league through esports (the majority now) into maining Singed and buying all his skins?
Every single champion I have mained has been reworked into something with dashes and skill shots. League is now a game that you are not allowed to win without split second reaction time and high apm. It is all intentional. It's time to accept that players like us are no longer the target audience, and this game is not for us anymore.
Wait can u give examples of those reworks? I can’t think of anyone whose APM drastically increased upon rework. Skarner APM actually decreased and voli is basically the same amount, maybe a little more.
Singed is such a unique and low play rate champ that singed players use that to they're advantage.
Most people have no idea how to counter a singed, especially when it's a smart singed that can also effectively proxy farmn

The thing I dislike the most about all of this is that it almost has to be deliberate. Singed is simplistic enough to not be a balance nightmare in any shape or form.
And this isn’t even from a community complaining that their champion isn’t meta, or isn’t one-shotting everyone. This is from a community that just want the champion to be viable - to be playable. We don’t ask them to cater the game to one specific champion, we just don’t want them to make the game absolutely unplayable for our fav champ.
On-hit boots could just be new boots added not reworked, and so many of the other minor changes could be fine isolated, but taking almost every single tool away from one champion specifically without doing anything to make up for it seems like a gross oversight. Especially when all of those nerds are hitting a champion already far from the meta, not making amends or giving any significant buffs when doing this much damage at once just baffles me. Like how little can you care about your players experience
Agreed. I think 99% of singed issues can be solved with numbers tweaks or very simple kit updates (like grievous wounds on ult for heal spam counterplay)
But the sheer amount of changes that seem designed to hit singed in 14.10 has me feeling nervous. Riot has done stuff like this in the past, and I'm just conjecturing, but I wanted to raise awareness.

I understand the sentiment but NSA already spy’s on your data and shares it with 5 eyes which is 5 nations in an agreement. We don’t have privacy never did . Any key words get flagged and they get put on watch list by cia, fbi, nsa. Vanguard for all intents and purposes is nothing to be scared of. It’s been in use for few years. All I see is this is just a good excuse to quit league but if you still like playing you should and not give into the hysteria.

I remember when i first played singed it was almost like a immediate love i had for his playstyle he felt so different compared to other top laners and i loved it. Singed is old but can still be viable that shows how well designed the champ is he is literally timeless. Seeing riot nerf nearly everything he has is genuinely stupid asf.

Glad to see your perspective on the upcoming changes, saw your tweets but I understand better after watching the video, I love playing Singed as well, and I was super hyped at the beginning of this season of how powerful he suddenly became and got slightly disappointed after his Q nerf, but he seems to be taking hits again and again making him weaker to the point of not being worth to play, really sad.
The biggest loss in a singed rework would be original voice acting.

They just need to add a new passive to singed passive that gives him a flat 15 move speed buff and allows him to build any boots and still get the same speed as swifies

My brother, I just literally screamed "UNWORTHHHY" today when my 1 trick was played on stage and got a triple kill 10/0/0. No one can judge you for loving a game character. Sometimes they're more than just characters, they're lessons or narratives or stories we need to hear to be ourselves. Stay true to you love for Singed no matter what.
I saw the comming changes and I realized singed the character I literally learned the game on, was dead. I even got my friend to get the stupid rare don't chase singed black shirt. I almost bought a damn account to get riot singed. But yeah it sucks, and removing ingeionus and everything else was kinda like the nail in the coffin to me. Unfortunately I have to keep the client installed for TFT which sucks but if it ever gets stand alone I will be uninstalling league. They keep making these weird changes because people find ways to play their game the way they don't want. Rell/Leona jungle nerfs come to mind, or when pyke could lane. They want the meta to be a certain lcs way, and if anything doesn't function in the 14 minute lane phase, no proxy, no double jungle, no river shen way it must be removed. But lux can have a 19 second cd on an ultimate because she sells skins.
I understand the gravity of the situation, but To hear someone talk to endearingly about singed is kinda funny given the character lore. Sorry about the situation.
As my friend @Chase4FreeWiFi says at 4:00, Singed is a villain in the lore but a savior to us.
I'm not really sure how they could rework him in any significant way while staying with the same general kit he's had all these years. They could bring back his old passive, which would dial back the clock a number of years, it would fit more these days with all the scaling champs we have now. If they inserted his current passive into the W as an effect/on hit response, that could be an interesting change without altering his DNA. Not sure I see many other options though without warping him beyond recognition.
I've been watching your content for months now. I am a Nasus OTP, but, I was thinking about switching to Singed...but, these upcoming changes and the heavy nerfs almost pointed at Singed (plus Vanguard), makes me lean very heavily on quitting League, and I've been playing since s2. Riot has no idea how to design unique champions anymore that don't fit into a super flashy, overly-tuned state with 47000 lines of text.
Singed is an incredibly unique and beautifully designed champion, who appears to be simple as a puddle on the surface. It's wild how Riot doesn't seem to understand...or care.
asol main here, THE OG ASOL MAIN here, we talking full toggle W, minimum detonation distance q, and the beloved DRIFT. i stg riot did the EXACT SAME SHIT for asol they are going to keep doing it to unorthodox champs like they just did with skarner. this always pisses me off when riot reworks someone because of a state the shit balancing team put them in. I can name multiple reworks that had this exact circumstance happen, including, but not limited to; asol (as i already mentioned, however it was TWICE) Aatrox (ALSO TWICE), skarner, and imo mordekaiser (though that one is more of a personal thing). the more riot is willing to delete unique and unothodox champ designs for tweaked versions of already existing champs the more I want to get a thumb drive, move my league of legends files to it, then throw it into a fire
Your comment on the Udyer rework still being Udyer and a great rework is a good example of how they should do unique timeless champs. For instance Arelion Sol was a unique champ design and the rework just made him like all the new champs released and not unique. Remember when the only infinite stacking/scaling champs were Veiger and Nasus lol.
If they change him, they should keep q, w and e and look into changing Q damage range/time/damage type and not change the actual abilities. Make Q partial true damage or always have a %health dot, incorporate the gutted items and runes into his kit
Hopefully they stay true to singed while modernizing the kit. We can only pray.
As a zac support main (and someone who only plays janky tops otherwise), singed gave the game such a fresh and unique feel--it was a terror unlike any other seeing him locked in on the enemy team. In a game all about giving players an experience they can't get anywhere else, it's so odd that they'd take out the one champ that plays the way that singed does. These changes (with the exception of hollow radiance because wow does that feel bad to build on tanks most of the time) serve no purpose other than to nerf or gut certain champs and playstyles. If it comes down to it, you'll have me fighting right alongside the singed mains to not let a rework go through; your content has always provided me with certain comfort, and seeing you like this is nothing short of heartbreaking.

Honestly at first I saw the swiftness boots and I though "oh Singed can run up to champions and auto to keep on them" but then I remembered how horrible conqueror felt when you had to auto to build it and I knew they messed up badly.
This season is looking mighty bad and I hate it, as if adcs needed help of all roles.
We should organize a day of Singed inting to protest this. Singed players unite!
No man I feel the same way about Skarner as you do Singed. He felt like apart of ME, and I genuinely cried when the rework finally came on the pbe, I cried the day before release, and I cried the day after. Singed is amazingly unique, I love him as a champ, playing him support and jungle are some of the most fun I've ever had in league. I hope this is all false, I wouldn't want another champ I love to get removed.
man the intro of this video when you were getting emotional really hit home. i used to play overwatch and i mained doomfist. he was my favorite character of all time and held a very special place in my heart. then blizzard reworked him.. i was genuinely heartbroken. it made me fall out of love with the game and i havent been able to play it consistently since. i really hope singed doesnt get ruined like my baby did.

I saw these changes last night and legit started seething. I only started playing last season but I’ve got 380k mastery on singed and I couldn’t imagine playing any other champ. So fun. I’m praying they revert the swifties change atleast. I just know they’ll buff wrong parts of his kit to try and stabilize him. I feel your pain
Look how they massacred my boy. As soon as i saw the upcoming patch notes i instantly thought how they affected singed hard. Singed is one of champions i always have fun to play as and screw around the different builds and playstyles.

The moment I saw this patch, and how it gutted my two mains(Gangplank and Singed), I immediately felt like Riot was specifically ignoring and leaving behind champs. Idk that's just the feeling I got, this patch looks terrible.
this could sound a bit strange but i love playing against singed mains, and i think that if people hate a champ that require so much skill and game understanding to play with just doesnt like lol more than they like winning games and stompin lane
for me its a great experience to play against some mains bcs its like watching a live league class about some aspects of the game and it helps me to get better

I think something that might make singed feel better is if they changed how he interacts with ability haste.
Similar to how pyke converts bonus health, if singed were able to convert ability haste into movement speed for example. It would make so many items not feel terrible.
I’m not a singed main, but I love your content and I think that singed is an important champion to keep the identity of.
I've been a singed main for like 5 years now. I understand how you feel about him, I still crave that moment of approaching a team fight with ghost ignite and ultimate up, knowing that my champ gets to do his thing on the main stage.
But let's not ignore the fact that the shiniest badge we wear as Singed OTP is not about showing off with movement speed or damage or team fighting. It's the fact that you should never lose to Singed because Singed sucks. I wouldn't mind that changing after all these years.
They won't scrap his kit, because like you said he is unique across the genre. But his abilities should do more.
They need to give him empowered bullwark back, up his base movement speed to compensate for the loss of slipstream, and give his Q % missing health damage.
Then he's actually a tank, his poison tricks you into overextending as its damage increases the lower you are on health, and he's got enough movement speed to engage.
imo i think singed is a great design for a character in a video game. What makes singed a great character is how he changes completely on how you play. This has pros and cons but I think much more pros than cons. I love everything about singed and hope they don't change him, update his models and animations but that's it.

As a big lore nerd i loved singed and he was my primary ap tank back when he still had the mana passive and still used em afterwards especially on Season 10-12.
And with them hinting at an arcane champ getting a rework and the oldest one with yhe most changing lore is also Singed.. but it made no sense to really fully rework him if it isn't a moni midscope where everything mostly remains the same.
I was thinking maybe somebody else, but with these changes, Maybe you're right, that they're making em weaker so hybthe time his rework comes, hes so weak in split 2 it comes just in time but thats foul to do em like that.. 😢
This is what happened to Kayle. She used to be a fun mix of mage, support, and adc up until S3-4, when they nerfed her more offensive habilities. With time, she became an exclusively top laner that built mostly on-hit, not being able to build AP consistently. Then they reworked her into a generic top laner hypercarry adc that only builds ad/crit items and is not as fun and creative as before
I'm a "new" singed player, I've been playing with them since last season when I started playing LoL and I really miss building demonic hugs and
radiant virtue (normally I always built this), because it made me very tanky and made it fun, I don't know if it's because I'm bad but I felt that in this season there aren't the same things to play in certain matchups and it's very annoying that you play well at your lane to get an adc and just kait u.
My first ever penta (my acc was lvl 14 and 30 was max back then) I did with old GP, the moment Riot reworked him into being this goofy, skillshot based squishy nuke simulator I stopped playing him immidietley, Im not saying its bad champion, Im saying I felt like I was playing different version of bruiser, now its more of midlane dps madness. It was not gangplank for me anymore, just same as Singed will be once this what we fear happens...
Rule 1 of LoL: Don't chase Singed. One of the first things I learned back when I started playing in season 3. It's iconic. I've mained almost every champ, some in multiple iterations, from time to time. Singed is far from one of my most played champs, though I still played him quite a lot. Singed is the only champ where I feel like I'm playing a different game. It always felt so much more chill. And you could just do some silly shit sometimes and have it be productive. I think the closest I'd get to those vibes on anyone else was pre-rework Udyr, opening the gates and doing victory laps through the enemy base... Idk if i should hope they don't rework him at all or hope they give him an absolutely perfect one. like, i'd prefer him being left alone, but that would mean he's gonna be mostly unplayable for who knows how long until riot at least shifts movement speed back away from AD champs to AP/everyone. Or more of the meta shifts back from what appears will be very AD heavy. If we assume they aren't necessarily targeting Singed, maybe it's the fact that he's an AP melee champ with no conventional ranged options or a kit like Akali's that's got him in such a bind here. Riot often said they have trouble with making AP bruiser items because mages would be able to abuse them. Perhaps the reasoning behind all of this is something similar?
What's worse about the Aatrox rework was that they changed his passive shortly before the rework was announced and made people flock to the champ because he was fun to play with a functioning kit. play rate spiked for him. winrate spiked. two weeks later he's announced as the rework.
Soon as the video started I knew the reason - Arcane season 2 is approaching and its clear hes going to be an emerging / one of the main characters in the season. They want to cash in on the Singed sales but in his current state only crazy people like us who love him play him for more than 10 games. You almost have to be masochistic to play him in his current state. So yeah they can't have a main character in the show who is poorly represented in the game in terms of new players trying to play him.
Well singed is really difficult to play, i really felt the ap nerf on q in early game. We need to invent and create new way to survive. This is a real challenge, we will keep it real.
Although I may not have played league comparatively as long as many other players have, nor do I play Singed often, it's sad to see Riot gut a character in this way, regardless whether it was intentional or unintentionaly. However, what got me was how you talked about Singed and the game itself being a sort of emotional anchor and eternal friend through all the thick and thin. It's something I find in League as well, and I've had people look at me weird for saying that League was solely responsible for keeping me alive and mentally well, so if anything, your speech about how much Singed meant to you outside of being a game character was really moving for me.
Since I don't think anyone wants a giant kit changes, it would be kinda cool if Singed had an ability evo mechanic to enhance abilities, like he scales for fights but also gets to choose game per game what abilities would be impactful and it plays with that "mix, mix, swirl mix" part of his character, big w's, all in big flings, death chamber poison. Would be neat.

Singed on paper and in game is a VERY SIMPLE champ, and I gravitate to easy champs, I can't handle characters with 10 dashes in they're kits.

Also, that new AP item might as well be called Singed’s Blackfire Torch. The passive scaling on that is insane for a champion like Singed! You’ll get +20% AP every team fight no problem.
I've never seen nerfs/changes like this that look so targeted towards a champion, it's so blatant that i can't imagine it's not targeted, also wild to think we've had what 5 months of good ap items finally after new season start while ad champs had op items for like 3 years straight and they have been slowly nerfing most ap items and buffing some ad items, riot started off this year strong but it's not looking good now.

Bro, not sure you will read this but if you do, I just want you to know I really enjoy your content. You are one of a small number of genuine league streamers that are a joy to watch. You are chill and remind me a lot of myself. Not to mention I stopped cutting my hair and let it grow out about the same time you started growing yours out. You are a great motivation to many silent people. I've only been playing Singed for about 4 years but you are 100% my source for all things Singed related and have taught me SO much about his mechanics and for that I am forever grateful.

Singed’s kit is a historical artifact in league, it belongs behind a sign that says “no touchy”.
With what they're doing with attack speed boots I mean it's not like they can't do the same thing for other boots. Like, perhaps they could just create a new build path that the swift boots build into that lets them keep their current power and that you can have a bonus for later in the game.
It's certainly not like bringing back boot enchantments, which I would love and wish they did, but it's kind of nice to have a boot enhancement 2.0 at least.
honestly, i don't think you are crazy for any of your points, and i don't find you hyperbolic (at least, not too much) for loving Singed so much and not wanting him to be reworked. When you main a champion for that long, their playstyle, voiceliness, skin textures, taunts, laughter, all of it becomes ingrained in you just as the first time you ever played them.
I was a mordekaiser OTP when i first started League in season 8. I loved the champion to death, and to this day i still remember his voicelines. Ultimately, the rework failed to impress me, but overtime i grew to appreciate this new version of him, even though its a fact that this version wont ever replace the uniqueness and the cheese factor of old dragon stealing, ghost summoning, hybrid damage battle mage heal/shield spamming mordekaiser that i grew to love.
A similar thing with what you are currently describing i think happened with both Morde and Skarner after he was announced. Riot kept both of these guys intentionally sub par and refused to fix any of their issues, and when the time came to update them, the majority of the playerbase just ultimately decided from the get go that these updates were a step up..even though plenty of former Mordekaiser mains have sinced quit league.
Its not uncommon for Riot to want to shift a narative surrounding a champion, much less an entire class of champions.
How often do you hear ADCs complaining that their class is weak when its not? How often does riot buff them, only to then increase the overall burst damage in the game and lower the deffensive options? How often does riot powercreep the game?
The answer to all of these questions is pretty darn often. Ofc, no one will bother to pay attention to it because ''That's just the game, the meta always shifts, just adapt with it.'' Like that's the excuse you always hear from the playerbase on a collective level.
My point here is that i believe you are making a pretty strong argument acording to my own pattern recognition. My only advice to you is this though. Regardless if Singed ends up being reworked in the near future or not, there's no need to take it personally. This shit happens to all of us who enjoy the niche and unpopular champions. Always remember the good times you had and live with them. Don't just keep saying to yourself ''i want to go back to that point in time''. Cherish the now, because tommorow it will be yesterday. Afterall, absence does make the heart grow fonder.
im not a singed main and have only played him a few times, but i think you're "tinfoil hat" theory is correct along with the one comment saying how singe is antithetical to pro "flashy" plays. as much as i hate playing against singed i think his design is very unique and cool for the game. i wish you good luck for the future.
to this day i miss the old swain, that champ got me to plat and after the rework its good but not the same, hopefully they dont change your champ or at least they dont change it too much and you can enjoy it still

My English is not good, but I think what they are going to do to Singed is stupid, and it makes me sad since it is with the first and only champion that I learned to play as a team, since LOL is a team game and the players don't play like that, he is one of the few champions that encourages you to do so.
What if they remove most of the runes and items like you said but they funnel it into his kit? Like as long as singe poisons an enemy champ he gets a 5s refreshing speed boost. Or if they kill the Liandry's % burn item they just move it over to singe's poison. It sounds like, and you even said a lot of these changes will really only hurt one champ. So what if they just take those things that one champ "needs/focuses" on and just build it into his current kit. That way you will get those skills/buffs and still have free slots for new/different builds on Singe. Maybe someone at the top loves him just as much and wont change how he's played fundamentally. Keep hoping and updating Singe mains are a community "opinion" as well.
Your theory actually makes more sense when you think Arcaned season 2 is potentially coming soon, and Singed seems to be going to have a quite important role on the series

mordekaiser is a good example for what you were talking. morde was a unique champion and they turned him into a generic juggernaut with a pull a damage ability and shield ability
From the first 40 champions, Singed is by far the best design! I love him, and even though I'm a support main, my best toplaner right now is Singed. Something I like in LoL from day 1 is playing unique champions. Nowadays most new champions just feel generic.
I'm really disappointed that it looks like Riot is trying to pull a Yummi once again. I've been playing since the Beta, and I almost quit the game with the Yuumi rework. If they also make singed unplayable, I probably will stop playing for good.
I've play league for 11 years always loved singed you're right they are pushing him in a direction for rework he become more reliant on items that leave an axe Over his head. And I'm not sure his main trail mechanic will be kept or reworked. The poison will stay for sure.
I could imagine them just giving him 25% move speed slow resist in his kit. Also maybe buff his ult move speed or q gives move speed when hitting enemies. It doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom.

Future's Market and Demat was my favorite rune tier for singed. It helped to cope with horrible matchups so much
but its in the same row how can both help against horrible matchups. and btw what main rune do you use to get to those secondary runes. if you are not playing spellbook, inspiration tree is always much worse than everything else.
@@imcslol1 both used to help in different situations, for main runes you can use aery, phase rush or grasp and inspiration feels so much better than anything else imo.
Inspiration is op in loosing matchups as you get cosmic insight for the summ cd and future's market/minion demat, one helps you with getting to your spikes in a good timing (good if you have to give up on some waves) and minion demat just helps you wave clear better with less resources. Like going for precision you loose out in so much early game potential in most matchups that can bully you out of the lane, resolve is probably best in that regard but if you proxy it is pointless, and domination kinda relies on teamfights going your way to get value early. So yeah, inspiration is the most versatile out of the secondary trees.
It really feels like the biggest target nerf patch in the history of League. And it's not just a nerf..they are literally killing the champion we all know and love! It's a sad day.
I don’t really play singed that often, but when I do, they’re some of my favorite games ever. He’s just such a fun champ, so silly, when you outplay someone you just start laughing. We can’t lose that laughter in the game to these 200 years champs.
I mean, why not try to theorycraft the perfect rework yourself? He's not my main but I'm sure there's a possible way to modernize him while making him feel like Singed. For example, how they tweaked with Viktor with giving him slows so he didn't HAVE to build Rylai's.
Imagine if you could toggle different types of poisons such as a slow poison or a health damage percentage poison. Or maybe it could be upgraded over time where you get each effect by end game though there would be determining how that happens. Maybe his ult get changed to do that toggling as a passive and when it gets on cooldown you still have the super buff ultimate.
I'm sure you would never have played it but there's an MMO called Project Gorgon where one of the battle skills is Battle Chemist which is unlocked after getting max Alchemy. Kind of reminds me of Singed with all the whacky stuff you can do as this kind of support plus debuff guy. Anyway, that's kind of a side tangent and we already got that Chem Baron woman.
I guess I'm just saying that I think it could be done properly but ya I don't put my full faith in Riot that they would do it right. I mean wouldn't it be cool if they opened the process up more to community suggestion and feedback as a first and only time to do it? Just some thoughts.
Not the first time Riot does such a thing, so I'm inclined to say this is deliberate. During seasons 10 to 12 in particular, Riot got very heavy handed on a scaling meta, making lane bullies understandably feel underwhelming as they had an unfavourable environment around them, and gave reworks to many champions, including but not limited to Olaf, Syndra, Janna and Taliyah, under the premise to modernize them, but in reality the end result was nerfing their early game to buff their late game, to the point 3 of the 4 champions mentioned above ceased to be a lane bully.

Dude, I desperately hope you're wrong about this. In know it's been tossed around since they talked about an arcane character rework, but I *desperately* hope it's not singed. His gameplay is unique to literally EVERY other champion, and I love him. He's not my main champion, but he's a champion I have over 100K mastery on that I go to whenever I want to have a comfort pick in norms. I love him.

I like Singed as well but I wouldn't call myself a main.
I really hope Singed doesn't get reworked - he's really fun to play, I used to be a skarner main, but the rework completely changed his playstyle and all his abilities, new Skarner is a fun champion but he's a skinwalker, taking the identity of a champion I dearly loved (Skarner was actually the champion that got me to try league! I thought a purple blue crystal scorpion was a really awesome idea and so visually cool)
The idea of that happening to Singed? genuinely disgusting even though I'm not a singed main, I play him casually for fun. Such a unique champ w/ a refreshing playstyle

Its so sad that riot basically shits on any unique low (and not only low but mid) playrate champ playerbase by those random reworks and changes the champions dont need. They killed syndra by removing the delayed qeq stun interaction, they kill corki by reverting him to adc where he probably wont be played, they killed morde instead of making a new champ with this kit, they killed asol making a press 1 button champ out of a unique position-oriented mage, they killed skarner killing his uniqueness and making him a more tanky kayn, theyre killing singed now. Next theyll kill chogath and azir, i guess, which are the only champs i still have fun playing... Thats a certified 200 years of gamedev moment

They did this with the old Rengar rework in Season 3 (or 4?) I think. Turned him from an assassin into a shitty bruiser. I was literally so mad I didn't play League again until I fell on a roof and busted my knee during season 11. Had nothing else to do while waiting for surgery so I installed League of Legends again.
They are doing the same with Yorick but in Yorick situation he has just bad design from rework and Phreak said they will adjust him this year so maybe Singed will be with him in same badge
