Hi Dave. Congrats to the winners and thanks to the youngster for drawing the winning names. Also congrats Dave on passing 1000+ subscribers. Keep those videos coming..... Regards Kevin(ex Pom living in New Zealand)
Working on it Terry. Been busy doing building work for my neighbours. In the next lot of videos, I shall be doing 7 ways to edge find as the first one. Then the Correct way to weld bandsaw blades, and then a video by a special request from a viewer about how to setup and use a Hardinge HLV lathe, for turning and screw cutting. I have also been asked for more tips and tricks for workshop set ups, I have been trying to work my brain to come up with more ideas. I still also have to show and describe my bench vice which has been modified so it can be used as an Instrument Makers Vice. Stay tuned. Thanks for watching and your excellent question. Regards.
@@daveticehurst4191 Thanks, Dave. Where do you live? I'm from Beckenham in Kent but I have been living in Thailand for 17 years now and I hope to build a small shed in my garden with air conditioning lol! I love those old traditional ways of doing things and I love that smell of manual machine shops. One of my first jobs was in a manual machine shop but it was so boring machining 500 of the same parts all day on a mill or a lathe so I left that job and went to college and got a job as a maintenance fitter in a car factory but the thing I most enjoyed was the machining side of things because most of the parts were obsolete so we had to repair or make a new one but sometimes I never used a lathe or mill for a couple of months at a time so I would not call myself 100% skilled machinist.
@@dermotkelly2971 I am in South Australia now since 2018 but lived in Redhill Surrey before that. If you can find 1.5 hours, there is a shop tour that shows all my machinery and how I obtained them as well as the story of my working life. Drop me an email to davesozzyworkshop@gmail.com for more information. Address is also on each video. Will save putting it on here for anyone to read. 😊 off to bed now as it is Midnight. Regards from Australia.
I have had a look at you channel with regards to me perhaps giving you a shout out. After watching your intro video, you mentioned that Matty has already done so. Some of my viewers are also Matty's, so I don't think me doing so would help a lot, Sorry. Regards from Australia.
