I wish I would have seen this before I bought one. I saw all of the positive review videos and the great rating on Banggood. My XLF 03 didn't even last 5 minutes before it stripped and became front wheel drive only. You're right. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! We need to get this video shared. The worst part is the AWFUL service from Banggood. If you order one, SAVE everything. Even the shipping bag that comes wrapped around the box. They want pictures of the bag, the label, the box, the car, and videos of what is wrong. After providing them with all of the info, their first question back to me was "Can you fix it?". Are you kidding???? Crap customer service for a crap product. I tried to leave a negative product review on Banggood, but they moderate all negative ones and do not post them.
Yeah sorry to hear the issues with yours and many others out there with the same issues as I had, its a shame some reviewers are all in it for sales and don't show defects of a product and cut the bad negative parts out of their videos. If you watch my actual test drive review of this X03 a few days before stripping it down in this video... It only performed well in the first 6mins tops before I saw it starting to cut out and make crunching and grinding noises. I ended up using the brushless motor and ESC in my MZ GS 1004 18scale buggy, and it runs great in that chassis. Made a couple videos on that buggy a week ago. Thanks for watching bud! 🍻👍😎

Remove that bargain basement BS grease and put something with Moly in there BEFORE you take it out and bash it around. Try to give the thing a fighting chance BEFORE you break it or crack teeth. Of course they cheap out on stuf...especially expensive moly grease. I bought one of these for a 6yr old boy to bop around with. I'm going to go through it BEFORE we take it out an beat it up. Install a nice front bumper to protect those control arms and wheels, the first pole or tree or car we hit will rip them off...maybe put some high Moly grease in the diffs and anywhere grease is needed. With the cheap grease used...its like no grease being in there at all because it doesn't stick and it doesn't have moly... for a 6yr old boy it should prove just fine especially if I can turn down the power delivery.

Good video 👍
Cheers Buddy 🍻
Thanks for watching Dan 👍 definitey one to pass up, the XLF03A is a better choice for 1/12th scale brushless, never had any issues with that one. i will be adding the upgraded metal parts from the X03 donor to that other truck now
Nice tear down Dave. Are you free to do a service on my car? 😉🍻✔🌟👊👍
Anytime mate lol, this video was requested from a few people in my review vid, plus i was curious to see why it failed so quick... Cheers for watching SP 😎👍🍻
Lol mate I've used this castrol high temp bearing grease on all my rc trucks for years and haven't had any damaged diff's..or gears ever! Thanks for watching
@@PERTHWESTOZRC OH! Well that is a good thing... I didn't know you were in there before the first drive. Made no difference eh?
Cheap soft moulded alloy - not a quality component, made to a price unfortunately and no easy fix, rubbish.
Yep thats why its a spare parts donor for the orange XLF03A now, im going to install the front CVD metal hub casings and front bash plate onto that one and use the brushless system on another RC, thanks for watching Richard
