I was getting increasingly concerned every time you considered not playing the zulaport cutthroat in the draft so I was very relieved to see him end up in the deck haha. Card is gas in these sorts of decks.
Like you said for conclusion: awesome synergy for an also smooth deck. Really enjoyed some of your clever plays as well. At 48:38 for example, you find the good line really fast for the best exchanges with the use of Supernatural Stramina, sacrifices and the most solid board presence as a result. It was really not easy to do well. Thanks for the good content and greetings from France!
Hey Paul, just wanted to thank you. After watching this video I had a chance to draft a similar deck. I went 7-2 and it was 100 percent thanks to your video. You rock man Keep making the great content that you do. It is appreciated.
It was awesome to watch the deck do it's thing. I'm glad you ended up putting in the cut throat in the deck. I know it works well in commander from experience and I recently put it in my draft cube and in fact, the deck you made here is how I envision black white to function in my cube so this was great!
I was shocked to see you pass the Cutthroat, that card is a handful. Xathrid is also unpassable in my experience, but especially in that shell. You're always making choices I wouldnt, though, and its great that you explain them, I feel like I learn something every time around.
I don’t think cutthroat is great in general but it was awesome here. There’s a similar version of the card in foundations and it’s not very good. The necromancer I probably should not have passed
This looked like such a fun deck to play, and you seemed to really enjoy it Paul. Out of the dozens of decks that you must draft, do you ever have any favourites?
@52:00 Any reason why you didn’t silumgar’s butcher down the Goreclaw? That seemed like such a clean answer with some value. Would’ve let you keep your cruelty.
I had the same thought. And as it played out, sacking Butler gets back Apparition which would answer the Siege. Holding onto Cruelty means that could kill the Nemesis, which means we have Path for Atarka. 🤷
I like the 2/2 that creates a 5/5 flyer because you can still attack with the 2/2. So you are inflicting as much damage as you're taken plus a 5/5. They gonna deal with the 2/2 sooner or later and still have to deal with the 5/5
Let's see, what would I like to see more of? 🤔 1) The new draft "set" with powerful cards and interesting synergies; or 2) "This pack is horrible. These are all mediocre cards. Oops, what do you mean it's Pick 2?" - The Format. ...Tough choice. 🤭
I was getting triggered every time you took the staminas out of the deck in the draft. It's the key targeted buff in the BW deck to go with the 1/1 deathtouch bestow. Had you another Phalanx leader their value goes up even more. Then combining them with Cuthroats and a sac outlet getting you extra triggers is game winning.
I might have voted for the necromancer over the priest and hope to wheel it? Edit: just saw the third priest lol. Edit again: saw you table the necromancer!
I just found out today that Amy The Amazonian releases her videos earlier for her subscribers. Like 8 hours earlier or a day or so earlier. Something to consider for your channel. Not sure how it all works, but she responded to my comment about it in the video she posted today in case you're interested.
Because of convoke. You never pay 6 mana for it. And then imagine when you can chain the first into maybe one or 2 more triplicates. That is what happened when it was first printed. ☺️
That line at 48:45 was DISGUSTING. B to make a 5/5 and kill their angler. That was pretty much exactly as you drew it up. This seemed like the perfect priest deck, just a 5 mana 5/5 flier with upside pretty much everytime you cast it.

Yeah i wasn't entirely sure how it would play out. The bloodwitch in Foundations is very similar and hasn't been particularly good.
@@haumph That's fair. I think the support for it seems much better in Pio Masters than Foundations, which matters alot obviously.

Glad you enjoyed! Bonjour!

That's awesome to hear! 7-2 is a fantastic result!
Wow that round 2 combo win was spicy af

Yeah it was sooo good!
Cube please! Great run btw. Well drafted and well played. Am always lift with insightful take aways from your drafts.
If this kind of deck is gonna be good in the format, I'll be drafting it a LOT. I really love sacrifice/aristocrat decks
There were so many Dreadbores going around the table. Incredible.
More Pioneer drafts please.

@ probably just rushed it. I’m impressed with people who make videos to be able to play and commentate at the same time. Might’ve just missed it.

I don't even think you need that much saceifice
yeah the card just kinda ends games by itself
This is so much better than foundations

Man, these black wheenies pack a nasty punch ! Nice draft, very spicy indeed … gg wp 👍🎯
I like how you basically re-'discovered' the mardu aristicrats decks from RtR standard.
Yeah it was awesome haha
your sac engine was humming this draft wow
Yes it was!
"butcher and butler" the world famous role playing game !
passing the Necromancer was real bad but of course it wheels
What. A. Deck.
Let's Go!
"Is there a 2 mana removal in the format, i cant think of any" As a 2 mana dreadbore sits in his hand lol
I'll say I prefer this format a lot over foundations
In the game against Demian, why not sacrifice Silumgar to himself instead of the necromancer?
I was hoping that the xathrid necromancer tabled and it did and i almost dropped by food
yeah what a surprise!

Could have won game where they played dragonlord the turn before by sacrificing all to husk
I'm not too invested in eternal formats. I'd love you continue with FDN drafts. But a content creator gotta do what the watch time say.

I do. It's called my Patreon
Nice, was this the third Pio draft? :D
yes
How is Triplicate Spirits a good card 3 1/1 flyers for 6 mana that's not above rate at all. Please help me understand lol
Because of convoke. You never pay 6 mana for it. And then imagine when you can chain the first into maybe one or 2 more triplicates. That is what happened when it was first printed. ☺️
What about 3 mana for 3 1/1 fliers?

"and for that reason" - you must watch poker vlogs.
decent... :)
foundations getting boring. i'd like more pioneer.
Good to know that Sierkovitz identifies as "they"
