I really love mine, but it can be a bit overkill for smaller needs. I would have added that the drain spout is a screw on/off design instead of just the insert type plug. I am hope that means it won't leak so quickly with age. I would love to find a smaller but just as sturdy option.
I recommend getting the Ozark trail cooler, it's smaller but designed similar to this with a screw in drain plug. I've used it for multiple gatherings and in my opinion I have filled it with plenty enough drinks and ice to the point where I even have drinks left over for the next day.
Great reviews. I have narrowed my choice to the Igloo TrailMate-70 quart. I need a wheeled cooler due to back issues so I need something will assist me to carry my things from my car to beach or camping. What is the difference between the Trailmate Journey and the TrailMate Marine?
Thank you guys for all the great reviews, I've been contemplating on getting this cooler and doing a bunch of research. This video sealed the deal for me. I'm going to order one asap, thanks again!
I had this cooler for over a yr now love it but be careful when closing make sure nothing is jammed between the lid and the cooler especially near the hinge point that black plastic hinge will break easily I ordered a new one from igloo.
I'm in the market for one of these but the sad thing is the basket inside is now molded plastic, the wheels no longer have the rubberized outer layer and it's $80 higher in price. Just like everything else 5 years later, reduced in overall quality/feature and almost 30% higher.
Wish the camera angle showed a top down of the interior, just glanced over the interior, which for me is the main purpose of the cooler. Good review though. Thank you.
There ao n models to this cooler what i want to know is why are the wheels black and grey was there rubber added or is it just the use of rollin it around that the wheels turned grey
Does anyone know, are they moving away from the handle they have in this video and moving to a handle that has two buttons? I recently purchased this same cooler but it has two buttons and it’s all black and just doesn’t look as nice.
i think they just have some new variations out now with some being cheaper models. i bought one of these when they were new back in 2016 or so and it just has 1 button on the extending arm and the only handle on the back is just molded into the side. the handle on the one in this vid would be much better as this sucker gets pretty damn heavy when fully loaded up and having more handle to work with would be useful. because moving it in and out of the back of a truck or into a raft can be a struggle. but damn is it a nice cooler otherwise!
@@CoolersOnSale @Coolers On Sale It's amazing! The ice retention was top notch on a 95 degree pontoon trip and the wheels and handle are AWESOME. I'll never lug my yeti around again. Anyone looking for a yeti 65 I got one for sale in nashville. lol
Could u please describe the weight load when u sat on it (excuse me for asking ur weight 😁) or better yet its max load? See, I have a 54qt igloo super tough stx and its internals cracked when I stood on it, I weigh 165lb by the way. Furthermore igloo doesnt seem to inform the max load of the lid, where as the competitor claims can withstand 250lb (I believe u know the brand). Thx if u have time to reply
I assume the 4 days means it's mostly ice still. Once it gets past a 50/50 ice to water ratio it's time to add more.

You can also hook a water hose too the drain!

Thanks for this ! I think we’re gonna pick one up

Does the cutting board/table store in the cooler somewhere?
Yes, on the underside of the lid. There are two clips to hold it in place. Great Question.
great review thank you for this! and thanks Igloo for thinking this product out love love all the features and the two trays...yes!!
Just received mine in the mail and mine didn’t come with the handles on the side unfortunately! Any idea why that would be??

Thanks for the information. Was it an easy job to swap them out?
@@CoolersOnSale my wife could of done it lol
Hello Dana. Have you figured out how to keep the lid closed without having to bungee cord it shut? Maybe a latch of some kind ?
Just got mine! thanks for this review! :D
Great video....this helped me purchase one of these coolers which I love. Looks like an off road vehicle lol. Thanks for the video
That thing has better looking rims than my car..😏

Igloo IMX review? None on UA-cam.
How many 12 ounce cans can you fit?
I cannot find this cooler any where less than $250. Did the price go up? There’s a trail mate that cost $200 but this here is the marine trailmate

Question, does the lid lock? So small kids can't get locked in? Thx
I just picked up the journey and didn't realize it has no back handle like the one in your video....is that one the marine??
Thats a very cool cooler i have a 23 liter igloo cooler
great item.
I have one and it is the best thing happens to me.
Also Igloo makes one called Igloo Trailmate Liddup with lights inside the cool for when its night
Also look at RollR 80
Thanks for the info. We will check it out!

Is this the best cooler with wheels under 200 bucks ?
It’s not less than $200
I want to know where is it 200 its almost 300 everywhere
Thank You I love your reviews and great information on the wheeled 70 qt Igloo cooler....Cheers
Thanks!
How does one buy it
Can you review the Igloo Latitude 90 wheeled cooler?
If this had a usb charger it would be freaking even more amazing
Hold on let me charge my cooler
it has a waterproof container on the front as well as an open pocket area you could put several power banks in....
Great review ! How about testing a Maluna ? I’ve been watching this company since it’s Kickstarter and it looks like a solid cooler.
A couple others have suggested the same, so we will have to check it out.
Is it IGBC?
Can u sit on it and not damage the lid?
We did, its not as robust as a roto molded cooler and a little bit more difficult to get on/off due to the shape/height.
Any chance on a review on the yeti haul....

RovR Wheeled Camping Rolling Cooler with

How about engel 65qt
We've tested the 50qt several times in the past, but not yet the 65.
@@CoolersOnSale like to see if it's any better
DOESN'T FIT UNDER A TONNEAU COVER!!!
Had to roll up my tonneau cover in my F250 because the Trailmate is a out 3 inches too tall!! NOT HAPPY!
That is super frustrating.
I found this out to late. Pissed
