No no no, the degree doesn't make you a tradesman, it just lets you know why your radio isn't working if it fails when you don't do it right. go on... be a bad boy and just use heatshrink when you know you should solder.
I got a DDX 6705S and installed it in my 2005 Tacoma, but my audio in the rear speakers don't work , I assemble and disassembled the wiring harness multiple times and have been unable to know why the speakers don't work, all cables were attached correctly, I think that maybe I used the incorrect Metra harness, I used IBR-WHTY2 that I got at best buy, It said that it would fit a Tacoma 2005, but maybe I had to use the Metra 70-1761, anyways have you heard anything like this happening??, (BTW great video very helpful!!)
Did you just ground the parking brake wire? I can't use Android auto without doing something with the parking wire. I want to take the easy way out and just ground the parking brake cable instead of routing it to the fuse box, if it works?
hey awesome instructional video. any way possible to put what wires you connect from the Axxess to the factory harness from the truck. that would be helpful or if you can message me with the wires you connected please.
Can you put the links to the products you bought? This was really simply put by you and I would like to try it but I don’t want to buy the wrong things.
I've been doing a lot of research before doing this on my Taco and it really seems like a lot of what the instructions tell you to do is incorrect, based on what people who have done these installs say.
I sure hope no one watches this video and installs it the way you have. Absolutely everything you should not do when installing a head unit. Wire nuts? really?
Wow this person if he is messy with all that pile of cables works very dirty, I have seen other videos that people are well organized, but this one, instead of helping, confuses me. nor give him a like for that.
If you think you can get a degree in electrical engineering just by using heat shrink your going to be very disappointed... You failed because you didn't use any Solder! Nothing worse than a highly resistive wire connection.
Video is very helpful. I am planning to change my mustang's stereo with the JVC and I was looking for a tutorial video like this. Thanks for sharing..
What about navigation and hands-free microphone?
Did you install the rear view camera? Would like to see that! :)
Thanks for the video. I have an 07 that i need to do this too.
You have a degree in electrical engineering but didn't solder the harness wires?
Yeah you are asking for trouble if you don’t solder or butt splice your connections !!
@@MarkB-zt9jm Not even butt splice, I just do solder. Do it once, do it right.

@@RioAkasaka it's been two years, is the heatshrink only still holding Rio?
Holy crap...
What a rats nest for a hack wiring job. No soldering, wire nuts, and heat shrink over twisted wires...
genconex who would waste time with all that.. you never see this stuff, maybe if you payed me $300 to do it
I just use electrical tape. 😂
No kidding! That’s not what shrink tubing is for. Fire waiting to happen
Will I need the steering wheel control shown in video if I have the controls already on my wheel?
Yes in order for your steering wheel control to work you need the adapter
You didn't solder or crimp your wires together before you used heat shrink? You might have connection problems after a while.
@@RioAkasaka that will let u lose ur EE degree lol
This hurt me in my Degree in EET
Did you have to rush to finish because Baba needed the table to make the borscht? (also it's nice that you take care of your Baba's taco)

Why didn't you wrap the wires with cloth tape??

How Can I program the steering wheel?
I have 2 blue wires but 1 connector what do i do?
Can you put the links to the products you bought? This was really simply put by you and I would like to try it but I don’t want to buy the wrong things.
is there a usb port on front of unit
Can you please send me the link of steering wheel control thank you
Does the USB cable come with the Radio?
Working the same project w almost the same pieces. Was there a vid. You used for the camera install?
Did anyone find out where to connect the parking break wire? (light green wire) I drive an 06 TRD off road 6 speed manual.
Ground it to by tying into to black ground wires
@@maxmartz4665is correct. In some cases Alpine and Kenwood will need a bypass but most other stereos will work by grounding it to the black wire.
what unit would i get that has the disc player
Research it yourself fucking boomer
Hey, if I wanted to Bypass the video player with the brake wire, can I just ground it or do I need a relay?
Any ground

Great Work!! How many secs to start up?
How do you like the 740 now that you’ve used it a while? There aren’t many reviews out there on this. Thx

whered u get that t handle driver
Does it also charge your phone when you plug it up to USB to use navigation?
Why wouldnt it? Damn boomer

Nice thnks for the info.

can we use android apps like youtube and web browser google chrome ?
