to stop boiling over, you can simply lay a wooden spoon over the pot. to empty out little bags of mayonaise or tomato paste, take a fork, and put the bag between the teeth, and move to the opening. Completely empty and no dirty fingers

@@joncampos-cw2tk From what I saw when I looked it up, the problems generally arise if they are placed too close (less than 6") from the wall or in an enclosed space (like an appliance garage or small nook); if they are placed so that the air vents can blow on the plug and overheat it; or if they are used with an extension cord. People need to use good sense with any electrical appliance, yes, but they have been extensively tested and generally would not spontaneously combust, any more than a toaster oven would.

Hello, Thank you for your great hacks!,..I have one that you might decide to incorporate at some time. My parents owned a restaurant in which we served pasta dishes. Another restaurant owner visiting the area told us something we were doing wrong when we were cooking pasta it was overdone so it became very starchy and sticky. In visiting other people's houses that served pasta very often they would have a big amount of it in a bowl and you were to take some to put on your own plate. Often there was a big ball of sticky product.
The other restaurant owner told us that we would need to take a big container of cold water when the pasta was just about done and add it to the pot which would bring the temperature down enough that it wouldn't continue to cook in a big because of the high temperature, yet it was still very hot.
then we would just put it into a strainer and let it strain once not adding any more water to rinse it. We started to get many more comments of how good our pasta was. Both the taste and the texture.

    Good hacks.
    1. I like the one about lemons, the hint about baking pastry dough around a foil mould, and many others.
    2. We live in Canada, we eat icecream all year round, even if it is 30 below freezing.
My girlfriend from Mexico was incredulous that we eat icecream in winter, thinking if would make one catch a cold.
    3. Regarding cleaning the air fryer. It is good to use parchment perforated with holes, it does take up most grit and oils. Also any baked on foods should ideally be soaked in very cold water with some dish soap. (Anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour). This applies to any baked on goods in pots, pans, dishes. Amazingly, (depending on how long one does not wash their appliance basket) the greasy stuck on byproducts will be easy to removed with a wash. Only after an initial washing (make sure to not let grit go down kitchen sink, use a strainer and dispose accordingly.
Then once the main grit and sticky is gone, wash with hot water. I have glass casserole dishes for over 30 years, some over 40 years, look almost brand new with this method.
If it is a tough baked on several times over, let it sit long. Sometimes overnight. But if one washes their baskets each time, it is only a 2 minute soak at most, this should solve the nasty greasy left baked on grit.
