Had you been into a Harley showroom before? We’re you already interested in Harleys or was your visit just to see the Pan? Oh and did you test ride before buying?
I’ve just bought a new PAS. Coming from a Kawasaki Versys 1000. I had 4 years 30000 miles on the kwak. Not a single issue and loved it. The PA is a different experience and I think it’s a fantastic bike. Quick, comfortable, easy to ride and my wife loves the pillion seat. All the software updates are done. I hope it serves as well as the Kawasaki. Time will tell.
Hi Lee, thanks for watching 👀 and for your comments, what made you look at the Harley? I’m really interested to find out why non-Harley riders decide to make the change.
I’ve always liked the brand but I need an all year bike. The Pan is definitely that. I see the rest of the range as summer/good weather bikes. (3 of my mates ride a road glide and 2 x softails). @@sweetrides8418
I own a Ducati Diavel and and a Yamaha Raider. I have been looking at a Harley’s to join the club but did not need another cruiser. I ended up getting the PAMS22. Absolute love it as an everyday bike and makes a perfect bagger.
Hi Luke, unfortunately we never got the raider in the UK 🇬🇧 but I just looked it up, a cruiser right? Anyway thanks for watching, please remember to subscribe if you haven’t already as this helps me to produce more content 👍
I swapped my fxlrs2020 cam exhaust really exhausting to ride for a long time hard suspension + torque so glad Harley had this bike love it not greatest at everything but really good at everything I need it's fabulous first bike I'm not spending a ton of money to alter your review is accurate in my eyes
Ps I've had several adventure bikes before and touring machines now I have only this fabulous bike Harley need to provide some entry level machinery just a thought I'm no CEO just looking at the great small bikes from RE and honda only one hate on the pan kick stand getting used to it won't ever love it doesn't stop me loving it
I really liked the Pan America and very nearly bought one. I had sold my Ducati sport bike and was looking at getting an adventure bike and exploring some gravel back roads. (I live in NewZealand and there's no shortage of gravel roads here.) There were two reasons I didnt end up getting the Harley.. The resale here is very low and then, as i was about to press go and buy one, I read an article on the troubles some had had with the PA and it put me off. I ended up buying a 1250GS but often wish i had got the Harley. I was tempted by the brand and quite liked te unique style.
@@rosco950ss7 Hi, thanks for your story, I can’t blame you for going for the GS, it’s a tried and trusted formula, the Pan did have a few issues when 1st released. But im informed that they have been sorted now. The resale value is a concern, they certainly don’t hold their value like the traditional Harleys, probably because non Harley riders are unlikely to buy one, which is a shame, it’s a good bike.
Understand what you mean about the new Harley market but if HD owners are buying the PA then Harley are still making money. I bought one as a second HD as a daily bike. I never even looked at a GS or Triumph. I wanted the style of bike and like you I liked the HD world. I am loving my 22 PAS and it’s everything I wanted it to be and do. Most important thing for me ? Unless you went in for a Bonneville and came out with a Hyabusa you cant have the wrong bike. I bought the PA because I liked it and it did what I wanted. Would a GS/Tiger/ Duke/ Africa Twin be better? Very possibly but do I regret the PA? Absolutely not.
Hi Octane, so glad to hear you’re enjoying your Pan, it is a great bike in its own right! Hard to explain, but sometimes better technically doesn’t always make for a better ride, which is where the Harley scores highly. Thanks for watching and for your comments, more videos on the way so please subscribe 👍
Hi Matt, I’m sure a decent exhaust would make it sound much better, it certainly handles much better than a Fatboy! Thanks for watching and subscribing, more videos on the way soon!
Vance and Hines high output exhaust sounds great on my pan am! Totally changes up the sound. Not too loud but sounds fantastic. The black one looks great on the bike !
Hi Electra, I know what you mean, but Harley need to attract riders from other Markets, the cruiser market is shrinking, especially in non US countries. Thanks for watching and please subscribe as this helps me to keep producing content 👍
Been a Triumph fan for many years. I saw this, fell in love and the ride on road and off road is amazing. It's a perfect bike for me
Hi Costa, so is the Pan your first Harley?
@@SuperDucatiman yes, and enjoying the experience so far

@SuperDucatiman yes to all above and just to see the pan
Thanks for the response, more vids on the way soon

Hi Steve, thanks for your comments, so glad you’re enjoying your bike, more content on the way 👍
Hopefully they’ll bring their smaller capacity bikes into the uk like they have in Asia

Great review!
Thanks Brandon 👍 Glad you enjoyed it
Not for me, being a GS fan boy😊
I like the video and now look at these in a different light, maybe if it was a shaft drive🤔
Hi Pete, thanks for your comments, not swapping your GS just yet then 😂
Definitely worth a test ride if you get the chance 👍

I swapped my Fatboy, which I’d had for 17yrs, for the PAS…..no regrets as of yet….apart from the fact that it sounds like a sewing machine…

Hi Robert, Vance and Hines do make a good pipe, glad you’re enjoying you’re bike, thanks for watching and for your comments 👍
That thing is just the big brother of those Street models and that old V-rod, and these are not Harley's and never will be.
