I met her at one of the annual Layne Staley tribute concerts in Seattle and was able to give her a hug. I was like 12. That's the closest thing I'll get to meeting Layne. He is one of my favorite singers. She is such a sweetheart.
Thank you for diving deeper into the lives of the musicians of the 'grunge' era. The music aside, I really believe we can learn from the unfortunate tragedies and personal struggle that they went through. These amazing human beings lives on through their music and we need to be more empathetic in a modern world that is unfortunately treating everything as given and as a joke.

From someone who knows, I compare drug dependency to burning your hand, you know if you dunk it in cold water it will help until you pull it out then it hurts that much more but your brain convinces you to put it back in the cold water. Anyone who is tormented by things that
they are doing while feeling they have no choice feeling compelled to follow along for the sake of other's the unhappy part keeps building up then one day while you are telling yourself how much things suck and someone comes along and mentions why don't you try what works for me and they give you something that cloaks the bad part away, you are so thankful, man this shit really helps, you were right yet every time you use that escape it lasts less and you need more and now if you try doing without all the nasty unhappiness comes back tenfold every pore in your body is screaming what are you doing get more of that stuff that makes us feel better what are you waiting for, it is very hard to deny yourself feeling better and like most do they put it off until tomorrow which rarely comes..

Hey Andrew thanks for the kind words & for sure: The best thing to do man is to see if you can find their contact online & send them an email or call if a number js available, that’s what I usually do. If you know which label or management company a certain person is with, contact the company. But honestly a lot of artists / producers have their direct contact listed online, I was surprised when I first started doing this lol. Good luck Andrew!
I like the fact he does, I don't always catch them the first time around. I like hearing stories about Layne, the good, the bad, it's interesting to me to know what he went through, I can relate in allot of ways. Keep it up
