Fun Fact: Bambi was actually constructed to tell the stories of how the wildlife was like for woodland creatures. Which was why lots of imagery and nature were included in various shots. About the Disney Parks, I remember getting weird looks from people when I told them that I never been to a Disney Park before. As someone who does actually like the trope (depending on the show and characters), here it just feels weird. They feel better off as friends than lovers since it worked better that way.
In my opinion the friends to lovers trope only works if the characters not introduced as friends yet meaning they’re first strangers then friends then lovers. they have show a lil subtle hints of them liking each other while being friends. One good example of the friends to lovers is jack and kim from kickin it they did that trope so well.
That opinion about Tangled is a mood. Tangled is fine. But I'm so sick of how aggressive Tangled fans are now. You can't just like Tangled, You have to think its the best movie to come out of Disney Animation in the last decade. The movie isn't perfect. It doesn't help that my favorite Disney movie is Frozen, and Tangled fans in particular have a habit of trashing on Frozen because they are still mad Frozen made more money. Even as a hardcore Bambi lover, I really do understand when people can't get into it. I love this movie for what positive impact it had on me as a small child, but from an outsider's perspective it does seem like boring movie lol 💀 This is why I prefer the sequel over the original. It's much more fun to watch : D
Can I add mine: How does a live action remake ruin the original!? The original is still right there for people to watch. Even if they change the plot, my point still stands. The original is there.
I can understand the Bambi being boring thing. As someone who used to be obsessed with the movie when I was little and would watch it every single day, I mostly enjoyed the parts where the characters are little, but after Bambi’s mom dies and the characters grow up, it started to get a little boring for me, as well as sad. My brother also noticed it when we last watched the film. It has been 6 years since I last saw the full film, so my opinion might change after rewatching it. Regardless of that, I still think is a good movie.
@ferret man, I gotta watch that one. I never saw any of the Disney sequels growing up as a kid, aside from Cinderella 3 (honestly thought it was the second for the longest time). I heard that many of them weren’t that good, but there are also a few good ones.
I kinda feel the same way about Tangled, though my main issue lies in the age gap between the main characters. Yeah I get that it was "normal" for the time period the story is set in, but from a modern perspective those two getting married doesn't sit right with me. I still consider it to be a very funny and entertaining movie up until moves were being made.
Tangled was one of my favorite disney movies since I was a kid. But now, as an adult, the age difference genuinely bothers me so much!! And it frustrates me because most people don't take it seriously. When people point it out others act like they're exaggerating. I personally can't see it the same way anymore. Actually! Fun fact he was two years older than her or three. The age a lot of people say Eugene is actually the age he was in season 3. Edit- when she was 18 Eugene would’ve been around 20 or 21 it’s kinda hard to figure out cause Eugene thought he was one year younger than he actually was. So idk anymore but it wasn’t too horrible. I think it was better she didn’t marry him until she was like 22 honestly average year to get married for a good amount of people around the world and in that time period.
I haven't seen tangled the same since learning about how mother gothel is a stereotype of a jew. and its kind sad because tangled was my favorite movie when I was younger.

And I didn't mean too old for Disney media, I meant the lines were laughably long, the prices were out of this world, and the parks were so overcrowded, I felt claustrophobic. And I went on a random weekday in early February this year, not even a hoppin time. From videos like defunctland's, It's become clear to me that there are things Disney could do to make these problems less severe, but they're just making it worse. I thought I was the only one that felt the same about Phineas and Ferb! After Summer Belongs to You, I just felt that the show was very formulaic and repetitive too. If you've seen one Phineas and Ferb episode, you have seen them all. I personally think Dr. Doof and Perry carried that show. For SVTFOE, I was obsessed with that show when it was airing, especially seasons 1 and 2. For me, I noticed a decline when they changed the setting from Earth to Mewni because it really wasn't as fun to watch anymore. And don't get me started on the race allegory because the writers did not handle the topic well at all. On another note, I never watched season four because I was going away for college and didn't have a TV. However, hearing from other video essays on the finale I'm glad I stopped watching the show when I did. 😬
Agreed. Even though I like Phineas and Ferb, it really felt very repetitive with the Big Ideas and Candace's constant failed attempts to bust her brothers.
Yeah! Me either, I stopped watching Phineas & Ferb after the movie and special came out. I think the end was perfect for the closure of this cartoon, finally Candance got Jeremy as her boyfriend but I wasn’t necessarily to know more about that. I didn’t like the new characters either.
My unpopular Disney opinions: -Twist villains in Disney/Pixar films are overhated; speaking of... --The villain in Zootopia deserves more appreciation; I think people saw "Disney whodunit" and expected a second Judge Doom, but the entire point of that movie is that looks can be deceiving and sometimes you have to look beyond the superficial. --Professor Callaghan isn't a bad villain and gets way too much hate; people only hate him because he was mean to their tumblr sexyman, and frankly, anyone who thinks their child was murdered by someone who's just gone on with their life as if nothing happened is gonna go a little berserk. -I don't hate Frozen like I used to, but I still think it had a lot of wasted potential. -I second that Kim and Ron should have stayed just friend, but adding onto that, Ron should have started dating the girl he met in China (Yori, I think?)
Ngl I feel like star and Marco should’ve stayed friends, I got so bored with watching them have that “will they won’t they “stuff that happened later on in the show and when they got together it felt so incomplete,I feel like if they were in school they’d be that pda couple
We need to put an end to the trope of a couple telegraphed from the first episode not getting together until the last. TV shows need to GET ON WITH IT sometimes. This is how you end up being the cancelled show with the glaring unresolved plot point
My unpopular opinion is that the lion king 2’s songs are better than the first one, and also that the hunchback of notre dame is the best movie they have done yet (it has its problems but ehh)
Totally agree with Tangled, I was obsessed with the Rapunzel and the Princess and the Frog fairytale growing up, and even though the movies were very different from the original stories I ended up really liking The Princess and the Frog. I don't even know why I don't like Tangled, I guess it's the 3d animation, but then again I like some Pixar stuff so I don't know. I love Bambi, but I understand that it seems slow to some people, it's more of a nature docu thing with a banging 3rd act. And yeah Ichabod and Mr. Toad totally slaps, it is so underrated.
I like Tangled fine. It was a really basic Disney princess movie. The music was alright. The art looked alright, but I was disappointed we weren't getting 2D animation anymore.... The lights were pretty.
I didn’t like Kim x Ron because it was like, specifically when they did officially get together it was making it seem like she either needs someone way below her ability level or someone who abuses her and that sets a bad taste in my mouth especially since this was towards impressionable little girls.
I know I look like a complete DUMBASS when I’m in public and I hold the phone close to my face when she says “bring your ear closer to the speaker so you can hear me” like bitch I got my headphones in!!! I look stupid!!! But I gotta do it. I simply gotta.
I agree, the Kim and Ron relationship wasn't it. The whole nice guy cliche it teaches was terrible. Along with the fact that other than being a childhood friend they had no similar interests or job goals. Also I preferred Yori and Ron over Ron and Kim possible. Though even that relationship gave naive yellow fever for white man. Also, yeah Bambi was pretty boring. It's animation was good, but it was just lackluster plotwise.
I enjoy hearing about your opinions. My unpopular opinions are that Encanto is not not a great movie (and Surface Pressure is a bad song) and Raven’s Home long overstayed it’s welcome as a series. Thank you for sharing your opinions , and I enjoy your content.
I'm gonna be honest Encanto was good but not amazing as people paint it out to be. They tried to balance both the characters and their trauma and it didn't work since they were overambitious. It just felt like too much but also too little. Also, imagine Bruno being away from your family for decades and they listen to one conversation from their niece and their like "Hi! Just ignore the fact we resented you for all those yers because of how you were born"
@@suspiciousstar7547 just 2 family members actualy speak ill of bruno and 1 of them is not actualy speak ill of him either, its more of an bad cope mechanism, she was actualy missing him after her disapear out nowhere
I also have an unpopular opinion on Kim Possible, although i dont know if it is an unpopular opinion or not. I never really liked the families in that show; most of them came of as bland and super one note in my opinion. The only exception was like Shego's; they were pretty cool. I didn't watch every episode so maybe there's another good one, but that's the only family I remember being interesting. As someone who grew up with both The Proud Family and Kim Possible, I know understand why I always watched The Proud Family more. I honestly thought that the Possibles, and even Ron's family, were a massive downgrade from the Prouds, entertainment wise at least. Like how did we go from memorable characters like Oscar Proud or Suga Mama to Mr. Possible or Nana Possible? Such a massive downgrade! Its not a family that's everyone's cup of tea, but its still an interesting one, unlike the Possibles. Or forget The Proud Family; every other animated family in 2000s Disney Channel was way more interesting than Kim's one: Lilo and Stitch, Dave the Barbarian, American Dragon, The Emperor's New Groove, The Replacements. Just all of these have more interesting families. The main problem with her family is that the show doesn't really treat them as individual characters, but rather as token characters. Kim needs a family, so that's her family. That's what it feels like with the writing. Not that they don't have memorable episodes at all, its just even with those, her family members still feel bland. Like they put in most of the effort into making Kim and Ron's dynamic interesting while her family dynamic mostly didnt came with much thought. Its also worth mentioning that like most of the family members have like NO PERSONALITY ALL ALL. I can't remember a single interesting thing about her Dad and Grandma, and her twin brothers were obnoxious as fuck. Everything about her brothers wad the definition of stereotypical: Cartoon Twins acting the exact same character, Siblings annoying their older sibling just because. They do get better in the end, but they still feel one note. The only decent family member was her mom; I did like the scenes she had with Kim. But still, she's nothing compared to Trudy, Agent K, or even Jake Long's mom. If there is going to be a reboot for this show, I hope they fix her family and make them more interesting.
I think it’s because so,e of the designs for mother Gothel (antagonist) are inspired/resemble anti semetic designs of Jews, and Gothel is a Jewish name I think… idk. I don’t think the movie is liek deliberately anti-Semitic, I just think that it does unconsciously perpetuate some tropes about Jewish people/stereotypes I think.
Right like I enjoy the Disney live action remakes. Are all of them Gems? No but I enjoy them and get excited for them. I loved a few of them and still rewatch a select few ❤ people be complaining about them and just like you said don’t watch it then lol

12:41 Hamster and Gretel
God, finally someone who doesn't love tangled. As someone who was in fact extremely sheltered, I have a personal beef with that movie lmao
You're opinion on the live action remakes is sooo true
I like Tangled fine. It was a really basic Disney princess movie. The music was alright. The art looked alright, but I was disappointed we weren't getting 2D animation anymore.... The lights were pretty.
I didn’t like Kim x Ron because it was like, specifically when they did officially get together it was making it seem like she either needs someone way below her ability level or someone who abuses her and that sets a bad taste in my mouth especially since this was towards impressionable little girls.
yep, after rewatching so the drama HOW they got together was not it. they really got together cause of her being in an abusive relationship.
I know I look like a complete DUMBASS when I’m in public and I hold the phone close to my face when she says “bring your ear closer to the speaker so you can hear me” like bitch I got my headphones in!!! I look stupid!!! But I gotta do it. I simply gotta.
I lived off the sequel movies from Disney growing up
Bambi is still good movie to watch for nostalgia. I respect your opinion though
you said what needed to be said on kim possible and ron’s relationship!!
Bambi Meets Godzilla is my favorite Bambi movie
I agree, the Kim and Ron relationship wasn't it. The whole nice guy cliche it teaches was terrible. Along with the fact that other than being a childhood friend they had no similar interests or job goals. Also I preferred Yori and Ron over Ron and Kim possible. Though even that relationship gave naive yellow fever for white man.
Also, yeah Bambi was pretty boring. It's animation was good, but it was just lackluster plotwise.
The only good disney channel/ disney xd shows are animated.
Great video❤ by the way
I enjoy hearing about your opinions. My unpopular opinions are that Encanto is not not a great movie (and Surface Pressure is a bad song) and Raven’s Home long overstayed it’s welcome as a series. Thank you for sharing your opinions , and I enjoy your content.
They should’ve ended raven’s home once most of the original cast left
@@gabrieladapazlima7947Encanto is like watching my family.
Me looking at Cruela DeVille wondering why Izzzyzzz is in the thumbnail.
Cars 2 is a good movie, it was way too overhatted for me
I really liked it too!
Bambi 2 pretty okay
I already ate lunch 😤
I was not here for Kim and Ron too. I wish they didn't do that.
16:00 - i think we might've been a tiny bit hard on season 3....but nottttt season 4 like at all
Do you think you'll make another video about Angelica from All Grown Up?
tbh im not opposed to it. i talked a bit about her and her mom on my podcast btw!
What if I think Tangled and Frozen are both mid
Unpopular Disney Opinion: Their 3 best movies are The 3 Caballeros, Make Mine Music, & Fantasia.
The Three Caballeros and Fantasia are iconic though
This is a genuine question and I’m curious, how is Tangled anti-Semitic?
I think it’s because so,e of the designs for mother Gothel (antagonist) are inspired/resemble anti semetic designs of Jews, and Gothel is a Jewish name I think… idk. I don’t think the movie is liek deliberately anti-Semitic, I just think that it does unconsciously perpetuate some tropes about Jewish people/stereotypes I think.
I didn't really like Phineas and Ferb when it was out.
Tangled The Series was miles better than the movie, I was hesitant to watch it too but it's REALLY good.
Disney Peaked with KH tbh
Right like I enjoy the Disney live action remakes. Are all of them Gems? No but I enjoy them and get excited for them. I loved a few of them and still rewatch a select few ❤ people be complaining about them and just like you said don’t watch it then lol
Okay I understand you’re a Disney enthusiast but you need to transfer over to the current Black power movement and cherish your hobby and career for yourself in reality vs. online. Disney is racist you could be doing more fulfilling and impactful work transferring content over to advocacy. They not paying you for your work. Will always love your passion. That’s my comment.
She doesn’t /need/ to do anything, but I won’t speak for her in regards to what content she makes
