I wish guitars that cheap would not bother with a tremolo. I'd put a hardtail on it. Just my opinion on it, not saying you have to or should or whatever. can't wait to hear it with the new pups.
Very cool loaded pickguard!. Now you have my attention!. I've been wanting to review there stuff myself. Can't wait to see the review. Sorry about my slow Fesley review. It's should be going up tonight. Had a major editing glitch... Gave you a shout out and a link to your review. Thanks for the video brother. That pickguard though. NICE!
Nice video Richard! I’m sure that new loaded pick guard is gonna sound wicked! I’ve heard great things about 920D I hate the feel of cheap knobs and pots too. Rock on 🤘
Yes!! Love this. Under$65 and didn’t sound bad at all. New loaded pick guard gunna make this clean. New strings would def help. Can’t wait for the review. Super curious about those stock pickups tho. Could ya show them for follow up review also? Great demo dude, as usual🤘🏻🔥🎸
Wilkinson inline tuners drop in for an easy and amazing $25 tuner upgrade. Add a loaded pickguard and do a setup+ intonation and these are serious strats
That looks like a good guitar. If it has the right geometry, frets, the bridge, a working truss rode and is made of properly dried wood, it'll be an overall decent instrument for everyday practice.
He11 yeah, Brother! I dig it. Can't believe you got that baby for $61 !! That's just crazy. The thing sounded great to me, and I know 90% of that is.... you. You're a MONSTER player. But dang. That baby sounds good to me, and.... with the Fender shape head-stock, & maple neck. I'd sand off the name, and rock with it. I'm just like you - I love buying cheap axes, necks, bodies, parts, & I keep lots of pickups & loaded guards... and I build all sorts of stuff. Frankenstrats, parts-casters, etc. Love it. I mean... for $61 bucks... man you scored big with this one. Lots of parts, & shoot... that neck alone is worth $75 bucks to me if it's half-way decent. It must be. I didn't hear any dead notes or anything while you were rocking it - even if the action was high. Yeah. You scored! Can't wait to hear it.
I bought a cheap guitar on ebay as well about 2 years back. Had a different style headstock. Then last year purchased a fender style neck for it. Only thing I could sat bad about it (after I set it up) the frets needed level, and you could see the wear on the frets after about 6 months. But still good for a travel guitar and every day beater. Every guitar has it's own soul.
That 920D is 4x the price of the guitar. It looks great. I paid $350 US in 2011 for a Texas customs loaded guird sold from California music out there, Still on my strat
Ha! I LOVE modifying cheap guitars as well, mostly making headless travel guitars. There're some good headless hardware available nowadays! The 3 projects I have going now are: headless classical nylon string. Converting an ibanez mikro (22" scale) into a "pickguard" guitar (like the Traveler Travelcaster.) Putting bass strings (45 - 105) plus the 4th and 5th strings from a guitar (as the 1st and 2nd strings) onto a 25.5" guitar, also headless if possible.
Nice guitar for lees than $70 it sounded pretty good stock. Its going to sound Killer with the 920D pickups in it ! they make some Awesome sounding pickups from the demos I've heard. It will be Cool to hear the the New sound !!
My cheapest strat copy costed $50 in India! I regret selling it though, but it was good enough to be played and kicked around compared to many other moderately expensive guitars. I bought it as I needed one to be carried around and not really bothered about dings or such damages.
Just saw one of these Minsine/Bullfighter guitars on Amazon for 66.67 Im now going to buy it . They have one in red but I really want the yellow one with SSH pickups for 89.00 both free shipping.
Absolutely nothing wrong with being a tinkerer, I’m the same for some reason I have to take things apart, sometimes it for the better & sometimes for the worse but it’s the best way to find out how things work etc 👌🏼
In another industry, we called it having items "drop-shipped" from the manufacturer, factory, or distribution center, so we did not have to pay the additional $$$$ to ship inventory to us much less having to keep stock in inventory, and all shipping costs were incurred by the purchaser from the manufacturer, factory, or distribution center. It's like a "Zero Inventory" cost and the "manufacturer, manufacturer's distribution center, or an independent distribution center" absorbed all costs of maintaining inventory. Of course, this subjects you to only being able to sell what they have in inventory (no custom orders or variations, I could go on but you get the idea). A manufacturer has sellers they say "we have this spec'd out to this that we can sell you for "x" $$$$ and we'll drop ship it from our distribution center." Then the seller decides on what profit margin he wants. At least to me, that sounds exactly like what these "sellers" are doing. Hey they make $$$$ for making the sale at "their" own individual profit margins and have Zero $$$$ tied up in inventory or headaches of shipping!!! (I mean all that happens is the order is entered into the shipping center's system and it goes out with the vendors name on the shipping label, and packing list if there is one, on the next pickup from UPS or FedEx or USPS or fill in the blank, and to the purchaser, who has no idea what is happening behind the scenes, it looks like it came from who the seller you purchased it from.) Just a thought...Please keep the great videos coming, Richard!!!
Reminds me of my “minsine” stratocaster I got on banggood for $60 looks almost the same except I got the pink. Was really impressed after a proper setup was done. Didn’t know they were on eBay now . WILKINSON TUNERS DROP IN TO THIS GUITAR AND ARE A MUST Edit : also saw you did the prewired pickguard i did the same. Holes don’t line up exactly right but like half of them do so it works.
The upgraded electronics will definitely improve the guitar 🎸. Personally Im a fan of Guyker Hardware Donlis Pickups Fleor Pickups Wilkinson Double Trem Systems well once I add the Floyd Rose Locking Nut String Guide.. Saves a lot of money 💰💰💰💰💰💰💵💵 .. All Excellent Quality as well... Awesome Find... Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽️🍽️🍽️🍽️🍽️🍽️ 🍻 🍷🍷🍷🍷 🥃🥃🥃🥃 🥧🥧 🍨🍨 🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶
Maybe. Problem is that not every Squier neck is the same. I've had 3 Squiers and everyone one of them had slightly different dimensions on the neck heel.
Went and looked but didn't see any 920D left-handed loaded pickguards. Can I get a return on my 10 minutes? lol!! Yes, complaining's my life. Trust me, it's warranted.

I don't really like whammy at all.
I cant tell you how many mod guitars I passed on just bc of it
I would LOVE if they made these cheapos in hardtail. Don't think I'll convert this one.

Awesome! Thanks. Can't wait to see it.
@@thebaldshredder It's even better now. Just thew in some DiMarzio's and some Guyker lockers.
Nice video Richard!
I’m sure that new loaded pick guard is gonna sound wicked!
I’ve heard great things about 920D
I hate the feel of cheap knobs and pots too.
Rock on 🤘
It's going to be sweet
That guitar sound freaking amazing for being just above 60$. Now I'm really curios what the guitar is going to sound like with these 920D pickups🎸🔊🤘
Me too! Can't wait to swap it out.
N.J. is also where Glarry guitars ship from

New strings would be a noticeable difference with playability and sound. These cheap guitars come with terrible strings
Definitely new strings

sick licks, plus that thing looks amazing for a 61.71$ guitar edit: that pick gaurd/pickups is top tier and looks killer on that guitar
That looks like a good guitar. If it has the right geometry, frets, the bridge, a working truss rode and is made of properly dried wood, it'll be an overall decent instrument for everyday practice.
Looking forward to hearing it 🎼🎸🎶
That sounded great out the box for the price Richard, can't wait to see the upgrades 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks 🤘
Nice, that's practically me " I want cheap stuff" those cheap stuff are great project guitars for tinkering. :D
Exactly!
Looks and sounds great. Cheers from London

Every guitar has it's own soul.
Thanks for sharing!
How much did you play that guitar for it to start showing fret wear after 6 months? Was it every day or maybe a couple of times a week?
I love the 920 D loaded guards. So many options.
can u teach us some of your great solos?
Looks great, the new pick guard should make it super nice and sound superb.
That 920D is 4x the price of the guitar. It looks great. I paid $350 US in 2011 for a Texas customs loaded guird sold from California music out there, Still on my strat
I'm not even sure of the price but I'm sure it's pricey.
Yea that pickguard is like $350-$400

I got 1 of those monoprice teles for $80. I swear there's nothing wrong with it. Definitely would play it on stage
Gonna be a sick strat and I'm generally not a strat guy.

Making guitars is really fun even though it takes me forever.

@@thebaldshredder Any time. I was hoping no one would mind me mentioning this. Please keep up the good work.
Man my mind is blown. First Fesley, now this! It's crazy how many companies are producing decent guitars at a budget price.
It sure is!

I would swap out the neck rather than sanding it down. Their are strat necks on eBay pretty cheap. Not to mention that has a full thickness body.
Would a squire neck fit on this body?
Maybe. Problem is that not every Squier neck is the same. I've had 3 Squiers and everyone one of them had slightly different dimensions on the neck heel.
920D are supposed to be great electronics! Will be interesting to see a cheap guitar with those electronics!
Can you lower the action without buzzing?
I've ordered stuff from China and came with a shipping label from New Jersey.
Yep
No link to the guitar brand on ebay? 😮
Wow how did they get away with that headstock lol
I'm pretty sure they didn't ask permission
Not bad! Great video
🤘
I got like three guitars all from new Jersey from ebay..
Chinese ones 😊
Man I wish I could play like you
🤘
Ebay ? not shown ---not even on Amazon! show /where do we order it. ??---70 $ ?
Went and looked but didn't see any 920D left-handed loaded pickguards.
Can I get a return on my 10 minutes? lol!!
Yes, complaining's my life. Trust me, it's warranted.
That's a bummer.
It's interesting how the very cheapest copies get away with copying the headstock
Balsa wood with plastic frets 🤣😂😛
Feels like balsa wood! I think the frets are large paper clips.
Link of ebay on this guitar
It's not on eBay anymore.
SO WHERE CAN ONE BUY THIS AXE ?---CANT MAKE OUT THE BRAND? MAKE ----LOOKS GOOD --HOW MUCH ??
