I think the shoes looked fine both ways as they’re light in color therefore they don’t give off that undesired effect. If anything they actually looked cute with the mini skirt as the ankle strap looked like an anklet specially in that silver tone.
I wasn´t blown away yet. I´m holding out for when we´re further in the autumn season. We all know we have many drops yet to come with their strategies these days 😅
Hi Jamie! Thanks for your useful review as always. Just wondering if you posted a review of Paula Babies? I’m wondering how comfortable they are even for people with bunions and is the straps hold up as they seem quite thin. Thank you!😊
@@mademoisellejaime interesting. Heavy heel might be a concern but if their comfy it might be worth a try-on for myself and see…(I’m fairly rough with shoes!)…did u get your normal size? I’m waiting for the blue and black version to come out!
Gorgeous! I've been admiring it ever since I saw it pop onto the website. I think I prefer the cut to their Will jacket. And the Quince one is fab! As an FYI the grey is quite cool toned - I really love this piece though. Very very soft!
@@mademoisellejaime I feel similar to you in that I don’t like Sézane knitwear in the mohair/kidhair blends. I love merino or cotton and so I’m drawn to any pieces they drop with this fabrication. The Emily lays beautifully.
I've ordered the Marlys leather jacket when it dropped on sunday - it hasn't arrived yet, but I have high hopes that the chestnut colour will be great with my burgundy pieces, as well as navy and denim. Those red trousers look great on you! While I do have burgundy trousers on me, red seems a step too far, I know from experience Id probably not reach for them as much as they deserve. ❤
@@mademoisellejaime It has really lived up to my expectations, beautiful warm chestnut colour with antique brass fastenings, buttery soft leather, great shape. My only gripe is that the sleeves are a little long, but that's because I'm a short arse so not an issue for those longer of limb. I've worn it four times already!
I bought the Aaron vest (Navy blue wool; side buttons) the minute it went live. It is stunning. I was terrified I had chosen the wrong size but, no! It’s a slouchy, oversized fit and looks fabulous with everything you put it over. It was sold out on the US website in 24 hours.
I had never heard of polyamide until I saw their website. Why isn’t it okay but polyester is? I am trying to wear more natural fibers this year. That green bomber you said was polyester
Polyamide is another synthetic, just like polyester, and I have a rule that I like to avoid synthetics in my knitwear (ie. I wouldn't buy a poly blend sweater either for that reason). So yes the bomber is polyester/nylon; it's an outerwear piece and bombers in general typically are made of some sort of nylon. The way fabrics are manufactured are different, and some synthetics are higher quality than others - also, I have a bit more tolerance when it's an outerwear piece (though I see little need to blend it with wool - I'd prefer a 100% wool coat over a synthetic blend). So, it's not that the polyester is okay, but it was my expectation that it was going to be synthetic and in small amounts/limited items, that's okay. I will also accept it in trousers too though these will always be items I am limited to wearing only during the winter time. Sometimes you have to put durability and practicality ahead of other requirements (I have two young children so that's a factor) - the Sezane synthetic blend knitwear I don't find durable as it doesn't wash well, comes out feeling plasticky even after hand washing. Does that help explain it? Let me know if you have any other Qs!
@@mademoisellejaime thank you! Yes, makes sense. As I have been trying to switch to more natural fibers, I am finding out that alot of the clothing available is mixed with synthetic materials. Like you said pants. I’m sure blends help hold their shape and not look like pajama pants. I guess we gotta pick and choose so we’re not looking like a bunch 1800s farmers in head to toe linen, wool and cotton 😆 maybe I really gotta give sewing a go
I have just gone back to check and it looks like there as a glitch with the Dyson video towards the end but can't see it in the previous ones. This seems to be happening when I'm uploading as the exported video on my hard drive is perfect. It's good to know this is an issue as I now know what to look for after a video is uploaded and can re-upload if needed so thank you for telling me! x
Yes that’s exactly what I was referring to in the video (there was a glitch so can’t remember if I had to edit out that bit once uploaded). It’s why I styled them with either mini or a longer jean. I love the silver so maybe a silver ballerina would be better for me 🥰
Omg that red outfit on you is so dreamy ❤❤❤
The sweater vest is gorgeous and the colour suits you perfectly! Good to know about the yak wool too.
Thank you! Are you planning to get anything?

HAHAHA this exactly! I knew even with my first order that by the Wednesday they would have something else I’d want to covet 😅🫣
I love the Tomi junper😍 I am also positively surprised that it's not another poly-mix!
RIGHT?! So glad to see a broader spread of items in 100% natural fibres

Thank you for watching! I haven’t done a review on them online as yet but I find them pretty comfortable. Though the heel is a little heavy?

I picked up the Emily cardigan last month in beige and I love it. Great layering piece for fall. I may snag the one from Quince in grey or black.

Same! I saw someone say it’s a Walmart greeter vest but honestly they’re just jealous they couldn’t get their hands on it!
Very envious as it's GORGEOUS! Such a chic layering piece for A/W

Yes it's a bit of a balance really - knowing what is important for you/what you want to prioritise helps!
Morning
The shoes still look great with the mini skirt. You are tall with great legs so it is not an issue.
Thank you Marilyn! It’s funny as it reminds me a lot of what I would wear a decade ago so the shoe (and styling) feels nostalgic (but in a good way 🥰)
I was curious about that plaid dress too, but I think the cut is probably too boxy.
I really love that fabric so hoping to see it pop up in another style 🙏🏼🤞🏼
1:53 Was there smth wrong at this timestamp or is it just my phone?😅
Oooh no looks like something glitched when I uploaded the video!
Very good point!!
Also thank you so much for flagging - it glitched in three places so I've edited these clips out so that the video watches a lot more smoothly :)
I actually noticed this glitch happening with your past 3-4 videos.

Maybe a MaryJane style of shoe would be better as the strap usually sits lower under the ankle so are more flattering than these ones.
Yes 100%!
The blazer could work well as a coat instead of wearing it as an indoor piece.
Yes absolutely!
I find that shoes with ankle straps cuts the leg and makes them look shorter and chunkier. Not a fan.

I’m not so sure of the style
Fair enough! :)
