Thank you for sharing the map layout !!. I am creating a 3d version for Metal Gear Solid in the Farcry 5 map editor . When finished i'll place your name upfront as layout level designer. You rock !! Already saw /downloaded your screenshots on google for data collecting, but this is much better to translate it on to the screen. Thank you so much !!
There's a Nikita in Nuclear Warhead Storage building??? For the last 15 years I've always went back to armory to pick it up... You learn something new every day
Great work ! In the weapons and bosses part, PSG-1 can also be used in "Rex part2" (cockpit opened). It´s easier when he is looking at the wall, unaware of your position, then you can shoot from the other side of the map.
Excellent video and breakdown. I homebrew for fun and seeing stuff like this is crazy valuable as well as just plain interesting. Sorta reminds me of a fancy version of those old prima guide splash page maps.
So you're saying.... There was a long tunnel that led straight to Metal Gear REX the whole time.. and we thought the best way to infiltrate was basically the front door to the Shadow Moses base?
Excellent video! It's always kind of mesmerizing seeing games broken down like this. Even more so when the areas are splayed outl ike this. Can't wait for the next videos!
Man I think I had played this game 100s of times from start to end 😂😂 unlimited ammo bandana and invisible after completion, such original rewards for replay 😁😁
You should have pointed out that you are referring to the original not the twin snakes vision which is slightly different. Like being able to shoot in first person without using the psg-1 and having tranquiliser and silenced weapons. There’s changing camera and guard routes too.
i plan to eventually. i've started uploading static maps for it here, tanker is done: www.deviantart.com/vgcartography/gallery/79358385/metal-gear-solid-maps
yo dude i love you whole thing, thanks for your work. its really interesting to have a full visualization/analyisis of the maps of games i played so much as a kid and kinda just took for granted.
Fantastic breakdown! It's really not a big game when you break it down like that but everything is put together so well it just works!

that's neat, wouldn't have tried to get away with a sniper shot there!
No way you have a youtube channel? Loved your maps for yeaaaaaaars. Especially the Metal Gear, Tomb Raider and GTA maps. Thank you for your work!

thank you... i always like that feeling of "oh, that was it?" to some level that felt massive back then, it almost makes you more impressed sometimes
@@VGCartography absolutely! it's a marvel how some developers can make the smallest levels feel expansive with smoke and mirrors
This is incredible!!
