Hi mate from Australia what part of the world are you in Really injoy your vids Are they from the trevally family nice fish for sport On your other vids it looks like you catch fish that we have here They are call silver Jew fish Anyhow keep the vids coming mate You get a sub and 👍 See you now from down under Tight lines 🐟
Tight Lines Thanks for the support guys. It does seem Aus and Sa have similar fish species. Kob - Jewfish ; Shad - Tailor ; Yellowtail - kingies ; etc. but I don’t think you guys get our Leerie/Garrick in your waters. He probably looks the most like your queen fish, however the fight probably resembles a jacks fight more. Always love watching the Aussie you tubers....such similarities between the two countries.....
MrRhinoBeard It can vary a lot. Kob prefer warmer water, so you need to find the warmer waters. If the sea is 16degress and the river 17-18degrees, the fish will move with the warmer waters. It can be as little as 1/2 a degree sometimes in winter, or as much as 10 degrees difference in the winter months. Find that slightly warmer but of water and that’s probably where the fish will be feeding
The area I was fishing in the video is around 6-7m deep, with a strong current and sitting on anchor, yes, a sliding sinker to swivel is a must to keep the bait down in the feeding zone. If I was drifting, I would remove the sinker to prevent fowling. A good hook size for livebait fishing is 4/0-6/0, however I do prefer smaller hooks in recent years, sizing down to a 1/0-2/0. @@coastaldrift3429 Oh ok thanks🙌
Awesome video. Do you always rig live bait with a sliding sinker and swivel? What hooks are you using?
