  • As promised here is a more detailed video of me using my adapted and converted Singer 29K53 1927 cobbler patcher machine..As you can see it is on a wheeled platform, and I've had help from my PA Cliff, to fit an inverted servo motor which I have programmed so it will stitch with high torque at low speed..

    Very good adapting the servo to run that machine. You even use a 1/4" leather belt true to original!!!

    what lovely machine! i have seen one of these going cheap, are they wroth getting in this day and age for leather work? thank you for the video!

    • @WheelchairWonders
      @WheelchairWonders  9 днів тому +1

      Hi.. Yes they are a great machine, however they were designed mainly to repair difficult to reach areas, (boots, shoes, bags etc.). They will power through leather but understandably at quite a slow rate. I still have mine but these days I usually use my Durkopp Adler for leather work.. Thank you for your comment.. Phil

    Hello and well done I got a large collection ..as well I surgest that you get your self a 7-33 singer single needle not twin needle Then you really have got your self a sewing machine I got two one in execelent condition and one in pristine condition it was burry end in a pile of army tarps in a shed in Kent since the end of ww2 and never used and the solution pot was full of wale Greece look one up they weigh 13 stone I surgest you look for valuable machines for instance 45 k. Cylinder arm 211 cylinder arm 320 k cylinder arm and any walking foot machines this way your money is safe. If it has got plastic on it don't by it .....o and by the way some one making hand throttle controls. For survo mothers

    It looks like its missing some stitches, is it possible to time the shuttle or does one have to live with that on these machines? On the long seem you sewed like every 5 looks like its missing to catch the underthread

    • @WheelchairWonders
      @WheelchairWonders  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, that was 5 years ago. After a good service and some adjustments all stitches are perfect now.. Thank you for your comment..

      Good morning. Yes it can mark the leather if the adjustment of the foot is too heavy. Thank you for your comment.. (Phil)
