I've always wanted a Zelda game where Ganondorf is freed from Demise's control and actually fights for the side of good. Perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to make that a reality. Maybe the sceam Ganondorf makes in the final trailer is not him asserting his dominance through overwhelming ressurection and control of malice, but rather a desperate shout for freedom from the malice in his body. A shout shortly followed by the emergence of the King of Demons himself from Ganondorf.

Well, Impa's case, we know due to BotW Sheikah don't usually live that much longer than other humans. Purah is the oldest Sheikah alive at the time of BotW (not counting the monks), and she's only 124. Impa, her younger sister, is around 120 and is clearly on her last legs. The fact that Impa faded away at the end of Skyward Sword similar to the monks suggests me that her life was also artificially extended.

Wow, what a prediction on the tree/roots. Though Link activates the light roots and repels the malice, I assumed that the tree Ganondorf is regenerating in is connected to them all and seems to be interwoven with the depths of the Hyrule Castle seal itself. Seemed like he was attempting to corrupt and take control over all of it.

You don’t get a triforce piece based on how much you represent the specific attribute, but instead how much you believe in it. Ganondorf got the piece of power in OOT because that’s the attribute he believed in most, not necessarily because he was the most powerful in Hyrule.

While you present a nice argument I definitely disagree. It feels to me like Demise eventually became nothing as it decayed in the Master Sword. I can't prove that, I can only say that that is my best guess at the intent from the story writers. I always try to think about what the developers of the game are trying to convey, my opinion is that Demise was made to be the explanation of why Ganondorf and other villains' always seem to come about to challenge Link and Zelda. I know its not as fun as thinking Demise will come back, and of course I could be wrong. Regardless nice video!

I kinda felt like facing Demise instead of Ganondorf for a moment, when Ganondorf in TOTK was sealed. He was enthusiastical about facing a worthy opponent. Even though it would be much cooler if Demise possessed Ganondorf. I think that there is a possibility of Ganon coming back, as I think that, even though he is likely dead, his spirit is contained in the endless malice within his corpse. If this is the case, then the Ganon could possess his corpse, as Malice has been seen being able to possess dead enemies to create the cursed skull enemies. The reason I think that his spirit could be within the malice in his corpse is that Calamity Ganon, which is formed by the collection of malice overflowing from Ganon's corpse, seems to retain an imprint of Ganon's will since it retains its boar forms and the body it creates out of Sheikah tech resembles Ganondorf.

This video's idea his heavily flawed as it directly contradicts the game itself which shows us Demise is gone for good.
First we have Fi straight up tell us he's been destroyed, and that she's absorbed his residual consciousness.
    終焉の者の消滅を確認 残留する思念をマスターソードーに吸収…封印完了しました…
I confirm the annihilation of Demise… I absorbed the residual thoughts into the Master Sword… The sealing has been completed…
    ~ Fi (Skyward Sword)
Then we have Impa confirm this residual consciousness will decay within the sword with her watching over it to ensure this process is completed.
    そして終焉の者の思念が 剣の中で朽ち行く今・・・誰かが あの剣を見守って行かねばなりません
And now that the thoughts of the One of Demise are proceeding to decay within the blade… Someone must watch over that blade.
    終焉の者が 目を覚ます事があってはならない・・・世界が 再び脅威にさらされては ならないのです・・・
The One of Demise cannot awaken…this world must not be exposed to that threat again…
    ~ Impa (Skyward Sword)
Then finally we have her death.
    Impa’s death:
    ua-cam.com/video/mW5L5CLY3UM/v-deo.html
Impa swore herself to a Divine task, Sheikah can live basically forever if they are awaiting the completion of a Divine task they have been entrusted with as seen in BOTW. the only way for Impa to die would for her task to be complete. which was the complete decay of Demise.
In other words, there is ZERO chance of Demise ever returning.

      @infiniteedge4427 Рік тому

      Additionally.
Zelda does not reincarnate, she is a blood descendant and there evidence for link reincarnating is iffy at best, you seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the series lore.
Malice is not unique to Demise or Ganondorf.
Malice is the power of Demons, it is their grudges and curses.
Vaati, Malladus, Twinrova, Onox, Veran, etc. etc. are all members of the demon tribe and all have malice.
Ganondorf is not some possessed man, the malice in botw is the result of his grudge being so powerful it becomes physical much like we've seen happen in games like SS where monsters (who are minor members of the demon tribe) drop malice infused crystals.

You know, it’s instances like these where I wish I understood Japanese, but I unfortunately do not.
If this is your first video of mine viewed, I suggest watching the other Zelda content before this video to better understand my perspective. Your Japanese sounds flawed, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt because (unfortunately) it’s not my native language, and it is a language I don’t understand. If your Japanese is 100% correct (we have to acknowledge that translation between any two languages is never 100% because translation between two languages is always a compromise), then your interpretation/reasoning is flawed.
When you say Fi refers to Demise being annihilated, it sounds like you’re talking about Demise as a whole (Demise the being/entity) no longer existing. This can be true, while at the same time, Demise’s residual consciousness can be sealed inside of the Master Sword. So Demise the entity is gone, he no longer has form. Yet his residual consciousness is in the Master Sword. His corpus, or body, is split from his anima, his soul/mind. If Demise’s body is gone but his soul/mind remains in the Master Sword, he’s not fully annihilated (which is basically Latin for “no longer existing” or “nothing”). He wouldn’t need to be sealed within the Master Sword if he were absolutely gone.
If Demise were completely gone, why would anyone need to watch over the Master Sword? That would be pointless. Why would the word “awaken”, a word applied to existing things, be mentioned regarding the possibility of Demise? Again, this implies that, yes, his body and mind are no longer connected, but he’s still very much in fact, around. “The One/Bringer of Demise cannot awaken…this world must not be exposed to that threat again…” implies that Demise can come back. These are your words.
The Divine Task is a neat bit that I can accept. We see the Sheikah Shrine monks practically do the same thing in BOTW. I appreciate you sharing that.

The soul of Hylia reincarnates into a bloodline of Zeldas. Zelda does not reincarnate. Link, as far as we know, doesn’t come from any sort of lineage. While Links look physically similar, they’re just reincarnations of the same Spirit of the Hero.
I agree that Malice isn’t unique to Demise or Gandondorf. But Demise is the king of demons. Ganondorf is an avatar of Demise’s hatred and resentment. Demise beget the curse of Malice upon the Blood of the Goddess (this implies a lineage, the same lineage Zeldas belong to) and the Spirit of the Hero. Ganondorf has not reincarnated ever. That’s a fact. Except maybe in Four Swords Adventures but the jury is out on that one for me. What was discussed in this video, was how his lack of reincarnation fueled the Malice pouring out of him like a pressure cooker, because Ganondorf is supposed to pass on and then come back, and he hasn’t done this in the beginning of Tears of the Kingdom.
