    I have a model 1 and 3, in that same color as the video. Got it in 1992. The retail price was $699. Still had the factory tags on. My friend noticed a small dent on it and told the sales guy, how about a discount? He sold it to me for $300 brand new and the chainsaw case for $100. Total out the door was $400 even.

    I've literally never held a Charvel in my hands, but that's a nice looking axe even if the neck looks really dry.

    Looking for this exact guitar as shown in the video for a birthday gift for my husband! Can’t find anywhere!

    I have a model 2. It's exactly like this guitar but only has one bridge humbucker pickup. Mine is an '87 in pearl white that has turned a yellowish color over the years. Beautiful. I remember looking at these guitars when they came out new in the music shops and I loved the blue one but never did get one. I also have an '87 model 6 in red. Quality is awesome on these guitars!

    I believe the Model 4’s had the 3 individual switches for the pick ups versus the 5 way selector switch.

    Dude I grew up to these guitars. Shit I was rocking jackson/charvel in early 2000s. I had a couple of the necks floating around and Frankenstrated my own guitars. I remember I even had like the very old kahler version where it looked like a slightly beefier fender trem but with tuning knobs and of course no locking on it.

    I have this same exact Charvel Model 3 with the same color & pickup layout Hss. The white ink is still on all my pickups except the middle single coil is missing the "SO" at the end of "Jackson" The tuning keys are excellent & have the ® after the name Jackson. The only problem is it sat for a long time & the frets need to be cleaned up & are sort of "sticky" The fretboard needs to be cleaned up as well. What do you recommend to clean up frets & fretboards? This sat for years in the molded hardshell case I still have due to an accident I got into plus I am more of an American Standard Stratocaster guy now. The accident was nasty & I broke both shoulders & a forearm. I dislocated another shoulder &** many other things went along with it. I had 3 shoulder surgeries in a 1.5-year time period & did not play guitar for 4 years. I started back playing just under 2 years ago again & it was really slow at first due to the horrible pain level but after staying with it EVERY single day I now play for at least 2 or more hours daily again. When you have a chance can you let me know what is good to clean frets fretboards with? I would love to get this on the market within the next few days. It was awesome seeing your video go by I automatically knew it was the same model I had. I bought this guitar brand new in 1987 from a local store that is still in business. & have bought my American Standard Stratocasters from them as well. I just had him order me the 75 years Commemorative Stratocaster with gold hardware & is the color - 2 Color Bourbon Burst!! It does feel weird holding this Charvel because of the neck being so much smaller but the neck is perfect!! This guitar sounds great & This was my main electric for 15 years & I used it when I was in a few bands during the late 1980s & early 1990s. Once I get the neck polished up or cleaned up & the frets smooth & free of whatever it is that. is on them it will be awesome again & luckily that should not be a huge project. Thanks for spotlighting yours it brought back some awesome memories. Seeing yours also gave me the push I needed to get mine out so I can get it cleaned up & I am definitely going to sell it. It needs to be with someone who will play her. t has the Jackson "Floyd Rose" licensed Tremolo. The tremolo arm is in great shape & has 2 black plastic washers on it & I also have a few spares in the "Allen wrench & small screws bag in the case.

      Essex Recording Studios I have a question for you. What would you recommend I use to clean the Frets & Fret Board on my Charvel Model 3? Can I use plain hot water to start or should I only use a specific cleaner made for a situation like this. I would appreciate any info. I am not going to start cleaning it up until I know exactly what to use. Thanks for your time.

    Might be a dumb question but why hasn't charvel made the pointy headstock anymore with the shark fin inlays?

    • @beefnacos6258
      @beefnacos6258 4 роки тому +2

      I feel they wanted to "reserve" that for Jacksons. You know like keep it a Jackson thing kind of. Just an opinion.

      The jackson/charvel necks always had high E string swing off it and it pissed me off.....best neck ever was just jackson or just charvel.....then again the hybrid Jackson Jackson charvel is history and Important.

    I had a Japanese Charvel that later became the Predator model. It wasn’t called that when I got mine. It was a piece of junk. Very dead sounding and the crappy Jackson trem wouldn’t stay in tune. Don’t know why people think these things are good. They don’t compare anything close to the original Charvels.

    I have a 1986 model 3 with the pickguard and the kahler 2520. I love the J90C pickup, but I'm looking to switch the trem with a kahler 2700 killer.
