If you like this warehouse hunt, you'll love the other hunt I did a few months earlier ... ua-cam.com/video/Alk9AOVyE-I/v-deo.html
The Tone King I could only dream of walking around a warehouse. Especially one of that size with all those gems!
@@tylerrosier1068 The best part of this video was the Floyd speed loaders... I'm in awe.
Greetings from the UK! Thank you for this, just fascinating.
Yeah i love these videos, that shop and warehouse is awesome man. I bet it is so much fun going there. Thanks for sharing mate.🤘
The Tone King love my team J craft Prestige! That one is gorgeous!
Sad to see all those beautiful animals locked in their cages...some will never be free.
Lol
I agree they need loving homes
I'm an officer at a women's prison and I think the same thing everyday.
"beautiful animals"...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@StonerViking420 I envy you bro!
There is something wonderful and magical about opening a case. The smell, the excitement of what it's going feel and sound like. Like Christmas everyday.
Lol I just experienced that yesterday opening my new Alvarez Yair masterworks acoustic. Sounds incredible
That's crazy did u improve since
Oh my god, please just hangout there everyday and do these sort of quiet, chill videos checking out guitars like this, it's such a comfy video to just sit back and watch.
This is the Area 51 of guitars.
kutnersuicide sign the petition and rush this guitar warehouse...... they can't stop us all!!
kutnersuicide
My thoughts exactly.
let's storm it .... they couldn't stop us all :D
He literally has too many guitars down there. I'm sure unless someone is specifically looking for certain models they will just languish down in that basement forever.
barclay bass id be willing to bet there are warehouse employees that index his inventory and list it online
I’m actually inquiring about them because I hope to god that there’s some left
There’s a really old music store here in town that’s been in business since the late 50s I’ve gotten pretty close to the owner over the years and he is a collector. They have a climate controlled back room full of old vintage guitars it’s like heaven every time the old man lets me go in there lol
This is mind blowing, this gave me a Case of sensory overload. Every case had a treasure in it.
He probably meant Dave Mustaine.
Dave Mustaine got BC Richs as a kid
Definitely meant Dave mustaine
@@warlockconnor7712 he also had a zero which is why they make his signature model zeros now
Did he say right wing douche?
Raiders of the Lost Guitars.
This is what heaven must be like for us guitarist. 🤟
Absolutely! Best comment I have seen!
ryan perry you took the words out of my mouth
Exactly!!!
That Rosewood Yngwie Fender was gorgeous!
Man that tree of life PRS! I love it. Great video as always brother. 😊👍
I've purchased a few guitars along the years and would like to say that Paul was very nice and helpful every single time I've been to WMC - even when I could barely speak any English. I hope to visit this store soon again.
Man if that basement ever flooded! I hope they have a low water table there and some good sump pumps.
Yeah right?!? Geez
Thank you, TK. That space was a treat to see.
“Dont you worry Dr Jones”
“That triple neck Hamer Californian has been taken care of by top men.....top....men”
Super nice trip. I've been coming to this store since 1970 when I was young. I know everyone there now live out of state. Its worth watching to tell me what I am missing here in Florida. Brings a bunch of memories. 👍😎🙁
Cool video. I got some Les Paul Customs and some Deans from Chucks back in the 70's. Great Store and great people
Always enjoy the Chuck Levin vids!
Gibson just called, Mr. Levin and they want their Firebird X back. You can smash it first and send us the pieces.
Back in the 70's and 80's, I would make my rounds to Chuck Levin's as well as Veneman's Music over in Rockville. I bought a Gibson doubleneck from Chuck Levin's for $1000 back then. I remember seeing Neal Schon's guitar showcased at the store as well. Lots of great memories
Absolutely amazing tour!!! No idea how I got here but fantastic nonetheless.
It would have been nice to actually SEE the full guitars lol
Love videos like this. These and the live streams are my favorite
They are super organized. Nice!
@John Smith Wouldn't be so bad if they labeled things with barcodes.
I'm in love with this place. Tone King, I am jealous!!!!!!
This should definitely be a consistent series of episodes. Traveling around find these gems and showing them to us.even though it's a tough choice, That tree of life guitar was my favorite. What make and model is it?
Cheers TK, my buddy and I just spent about 3 hours in Levins this past week. It was great.
Hey, I know Chuck's, used to go there all the time ! Paul's a good guy. I always wondered where they kept all their stuff.
Thanks for the walk through inventory wonderland. Man, that was cool
I bought my first few guitars in the 80’s at Chuck Levins. Brings back memories
Have a Davison white LP. Incredible action and build. On the neck says 100% from well managed forests
Wow, look at those prs!, pieces of art!
These people are sitting on top of a gold mine, I can understand new stuff being down there but there sitting on some older gems that I bet they would be willing to cut some deals on.
Wow! I think this is the Paul I used to work with in the 80s. Paul, if you're the one that went to Aruba, you called me and told me to come to the store NOW. I drove from the Eastern Shore over in 2 hours, and you took me down to the basement. Got out a Gibson Moderne #005. I bought that from you. And a few months later, my wife bought the matching Korina Flying V. I used to by tons from you. You stopped calling!! LOL
I thought for sure you would have brought one of them home ! Thanks TK that was fun !
Good memories at this store!
I bought all my staff in 1975!
With Bruce Volat!
Does Levin's list all these guitars on their website? Is the warehouse only accessible by a select few with "clout" ? Just curious, as I don't know how you would be able to browse their entire inventory to see if they had something you may want to purchase. Anyway, enjoyed the warehouse hunt, but just wonder how the average person who doesn't live near them would know what's in stock.
I liked how you started the show TK , This was cool . I could spend weeks down there trying pick a guitar . Man some of those BC Richs were sweet . I play a DBZ V ... pretty close . Ha . Thanks for sharing the experience pal
That BC Rich was gorgeous!! I checked it out apparently you can still buy speedloader strings. They’re just really hard to come across online. Then you have ppl on eBay selling a pack for 100 bucks a pop. Anyway I love your videos! I can’t wait to see your other “Hunt” vids! 🤘
I'm becoming convinced guitars are attractively-painted pieces of ordinary wood fitted with unremarkable pieces of plastic and metal. But they ARE pretty.
thats what wives and parents want you to think, they are chick attracting power sticks that radiate happiness
@@pvtlehto women can care less if you play guitar.
@@wandamiancrucifixplate568 some women do...most don't. Its mainly a sausage fest. No tacos served.
@@pvtlehto i think you have that confused with something else...
Some guitars are made with extraordinary woods and the price reflects that. It does make some impact on tone what type of wood and where its used.
Pretty awesome! Chuck Levin's Web site has 374 guitars as of today. None of the ones shown here are on it that I can tell! Awesome tour. A real great story on their web site about page! Looks like a great place to buy.
Za Z they need to at least list them or put them on reverb. What are they waiting for? They should be sold and be played. Isn’t that the purpose? Someone just has to do it.
Another excelent video, too short unfortunately, full of history. Please do more. Greetings from Portugal.
Lol @ 14:55 that’s the exact Fender Elite case I sent you the link to the other day! They are amazing.
I really enjoyed looking at the ole BC Rich guitars. I really dig the Yngwie Strats too-especially the one with the rosewood fretboard.
Man they have tons of inventory. 😳🎸
Great shop never seen anything like it with so much variety.
For me, that PRS with the tree of life was the guitar I wanted the most, closely followed by that Ibanez - crazy finish on that...
I just bought that bad boy
@@rickymize8673 how much ?
@@eddiem4868 got it for 500.00 very straty sounding had to replace tuners but very nice guitar
@@rickymize8673 wait the PRS?
@@eddiem4868 no there was a blue rg Tony looked at
That Ibanez Prestige is a 2006 RG1570 Mirage Blue..I have the Mirage red bought new in 2006...They made those for 2006 only, so a rare Prestige..Realy a great guitar..I still play her alot, like new..
Rabih Saad ..what brand is the blue one
@@davejones9577 Ibanez
Great video enjoyed looking at those special guitars!
I would love to walk through this warehouse. I can't believe everything is in the basement and close to the floor.
WOW. A guitarists wet dream right there. You lucky S O B. Its just another work day for them but guitar players would be blown away and so happy.
Wow!!!! Just wow!!! Even though that wearhouse is in the basement, that would be "Heaven" for me!!!
I've never seen a beast in that color. So beautiful and you never see Beast anymore.
Why is Paul *exactly* like the guy you’d expect the guy in this position to be like
I just fell in love with the PRS Double Cut
Many years ago I wanted to buy that exact Ibanez RG1570 but couldn’t afford it at the time...nice to see they are still around, maybe there is still hope
OMG.....the store is completly beautyful guitars
Super jealous. Go to chuck's on the weekend would love to tour the basement and warehouse.
deoxit on the bench, love that stuff, love the guitars also
That was really cool to watch!
This Video is the real deal! Many thanks - great job!
You know what would be great?
If this would be an access with a remote controlled robot so you could pullout any case and look into it.
I imagine one would find some more weird and rare pieces in that vault.
Uh yeah I'm with the government, I'm gonna have to confiscate this building whilst I uh, conduct an extensive investigation.
I once had the Dean at 9:50, but i replaced the pickups with the emg jh set, sounded so good!
I love going to Chuck Levins and just playing all the guitars that catch my eye.
Fantastic video, those last fenders beautiful
Always some interesting stuff downstairs, and that's the guy to ask. Hey Paul!
Great show guys very cool👍👍
This is the musical equivalent of Ft. Knox. Awesome video.
You know..... when Normans goes into their warehouse and they pull out guitars.... its very cool!! But this is even better!!!! You Rock TK!!!
Charles Greene the difference is Norman’s is mostly vintage guitars that have been hidden for decades. Both are cool but I prefer the vintage gear personally haha
@@matthewsharpton9256 Yes I realize that. The guitars from Normans are vintage and for the most part, totally out of my price range.... Also, I play Jackson"s, Schecter"s, ESP's, Ibanez, and Dean. These are almost never shown at Normans. But I love vintage gear.. Rock On!
Lol,.. oh yeah,.. and the other thing is I love it when TK goes to Chuck Levins! TTK Rocks!!!
What an awesome warehouse !
That store is something else, amazing !
Chuck Levin's is THE music store in the DC area. They've been around longer 'n most of us have been alive. I bought my first two electrics from them in the early 80s and they'd already been there forever.
Very nice thanks Louis.
Thanks Tone King..... Very cool
6:10 I have $300k of that wood used to make that guitar... My old tree died and I had to cut it down.............. I got a new house and 4 table tops 4ft x 5ft They took 3 sets of double tractor trailer loads away to Los Vegas to use for gun stalks and dashboards for High priced European cars.............and a few guitars
Some cool guitars for sure!! Cheers buddy!!
The man. The myth. The elusive shine bird. Only in captivity of the Levin forests. We love ya bud.
I enjoyed this video much more than I anticipated! I could get lost down there!
That 1st guitar is awesome..I like the Dean cherry sunburst as well
Man... I would love to get one of those B.C. Rich guitars.
The NJ speed loaders were shitty, but they did have some nicer finishes.
What a treat this video was. I wish it was 2 hrs long to see more beautiful guitars. Imagine working there and knowing you can never afford the one you personally fell in love with...even worse if you are saving for it and some wealthier dude walks in and you have to sell it to him...ARHH! The PRS was utterly gorgeous and I am sure I would pick that colour from the custom shop catalogue even if they did a hundred colours. It was like a shallow llagoon from India or something. Never gig guitars that look like this EVER!
Other than the cost of the strings and the inability to use obscure tunings, I didn't have an issue with the SpeedLoader setup.
Bought a new fst-3 and the same strings I bought it with were still on it 3 years later when I sold it. Just cleaned them with rubbing alcohol and treated them with 3n1 oil.
im in love with that red bc rich beast! i kinda want one now lol
I had a B.C. Rich with the speed loader floyd. I got it around 2007 and sold it after a couple years. Really nice guitar and the floyd was great. Strings were very expensive and hard to find, thats why I sold it. Some times I wish I had kept it but it was too big of a pain.
I have that Beast speedloader and it sounds awesome.
never understood why the speedloader thing didnt take off, probably too ahead of its time...like so many other technical improvements
Brazilian rosewood resonates like no other. They are twice the volume of modern rosewood acoustics.
Tone King, at 11:41 2nd shelf.. i see "george lynch case".. what is that? and do you still have it?
I have that Johnny A. Absolutely love it!
This place is HEAVEN.
Love the Bich in 14:36 and the Strat 17:37 u don't find treasues like these here in my place
Omg ...the suspense and drama of what's in the box
Incredible place
Always wondered where Paul went when he disappeared downstairs.
Levin's cuts the best deals. Haggle, but they will just tell the bottom line without the games. Tiny place, but amazing selection beyond that which is on display. They hand pick the top end, like the best PRS. The tops on Guitar Center PRS's are the dregs.
It looks amazing that store beautiful guitars nice place 🤔😊🙄✌👍
Wow, theres a bucket list...damn! Thanks
This store reminds of the old Chicago Music Store in downtown Tucson circa late 90s. They had a ton of unused new old stock Ibanez guitars from the Lawsuit era as well as other cool Made in Japan guitars. Had I known that in a decade those guitars would climb up in price I would have bought up all their inventory. Who knew?!
Wow I know where I'd like to go on vacation.. Heck man.. AWESOME!
Host need to be bid impressive and crazy about this basement round up ....he might be overwhelm but he doesn't show his reaction I might I would cry seeing all these gems...
I own a "Floyd Rose Discovery V" in bright white. It KILLS, both sound & looks!👍💥🤗
