No clearance for the tool the tool wants to run into the live Center so I just have to take very light cuts and finish it with a die on the smaller sizes three-quarter inch 1 inch stuff doesn’t seem to be a problem
The compound sticks up about one and 7/8 of an inch from its mounting service to the bottom of the quick change to post. The new plate is about 0.050 shy of being the same height. I should really shim it up to the same height, but I can still get my tools on center regardless of the size difference. The plate is slightly thinner than the compound, maybe 0.050 The idea is to delete the compound for rigidity sake, and I also want to try to create a kind of tracing attachment on that plate.
