It's policy/guidance only. No lawful, legal requirement to identify, unless your detained or arrested. 3 forms of I.d. when talking to the public is recommended by police union, iopc, training college, chief constables etc. It's not enforceable tough. Don't know how it works on a traffic stop as it's not arresting, us it detainment though, you can't leave, or be arrested. 5:15
@@scruffyalice-ff5pz If its their employer's policy that they MUST identify, then if the do not do it they are breaking their terms and conditions of emplyment and so are they guilty of impersonating a police officer, as a police officer has to identify under their terms of employment?
When they start asking their daft questions I find it best to reply simply saying, "If you restrict your questions only to those the law requires me to answer this traffic stop will go a lot easier" and I repeat this every time they ask any other questions the law doesn't require me to answer.
Look at how confused they are when they stare at their idiot boxes. Without those smart-phones, these fools would be totally lost. Can these goons even read?
A Police officer is asked MUST by law tell the individual his shoulder number, rank, surname, and the Police station which he is based. Not to give this information is a serious disaplineary offence, punishable with dismissal and being bared from Police employment for life! The reasons he won't verbally tell the member of the public is the fact that he's being filmed and the video could be used in a disaplineary hearing!
Never handover your licence ...press up against your inside window & rotate if asked your not obliged to hand it over & stay in your car useless your under arrest !
It's Common Law for a Constable.. It's also in all Constabulary's policy. The problem is the lack of Constables. They invariably self ID as "Police Officer".
As the officer has pulled you over then regardless of whether you've been arrested or not if you ask to see their warrant card then they do have to show that to you.
If they refuse to identify you can phone the police and ask them to confirm that the officer is genuine as he has refused to formally identify and you have no idea if he is genuine.
Yes there is legislation brought in a few years ago…… with many traffic stops being committed by false police they must give there number only so as driver can check with 999 operator plus if they don’t ID as an officer then the officer can’t do his duty…. “Was you pulled over by a police officer ?” ….. I don’t know he did not say
I looked it up and UK police have to identity at traffic stops even if they are in plain clothes not sure what legislation this is it's dosnt say except they must identify a uniformed officer must give name and police station they work from
When police asked do you know why I stopped past you.always so no.they are only asking in the hope you will admit to an offence.always ask if your obliged to answer questions.you answer to many questions, this driver talks too much.
When I rode my motorcycle I would carry some form of ID, well motorcyclists are a bit squishy, all main documents were at home nothing wrong with that, 7 day producer if I ever were stopped.
Interesting video their policy says three types of ID which they often inconveniently forget they’re all supposed to tell you about any time they’re filming you which again they they always seem to denial or argue with I would normally say they need reporting but we all truthfully know it will just get swept under the carpet as it always dies in the usual corrupt police officers will be just doing their bit makes you sick really doesn’t it? 10:3610:56 you about
Refuse to answer any questions until they identify themselves
Three forms of identification is their policy... But still, it should be required of them to do so.

Amazing channel mate appreciate all your support
Never ever take the straw off their breathalyser make them take it away.
You should take the tube! Otherwise they have a sample of your DNA & would you trust the police with your DNA ?
The judge who sentenced Wayne Couzens said they have to provide their full legal name.
Look at how confused they are when they stare at their idiot boxes. Without those smart-phones, these fools would be totally lost. Can these goons even read?
Should refuse to take their rubbish and make them bin it (breathalyser)

ignore the one who wont identify
It's staggering how unprofessional and corrupt the police are today. Mr Ego cop need sacking and prosecuting
It's a policy to identify to the public...
Never handover your licence ...press up against your inside window & rotate if asked your not obliged to hand it over & stay in your car useless your under arrest !
It's policy not legislation, but legislation doesn't apply too men and women it applies too them.
It's Common Law for a Constable.. It's also in all Constabulary's policy. The problem is the lack of Constables. They invariably self ID as "Police Officer".
Always ask for their warrant card as this puts them under obligations of Constable
Too many cops are too scared to identify like this.
EGO!!!!!
As the officer has pulled you over then regardless of whether you've been arrested or not if you ask to see their warrant card then they do have to show that to you.
It is the Terrorism Act, not the Terrorist Act. How can anyone take you seriously?
3 forms of I D is American nothing in UK about it ,name number and station is all they’re required to tell us
@therealdeal9698
That is 3 forms of ID.
If they refuse to identify you can phone the police and ask them to confirm that the officer is genuine as he has refused to formally identify and you have no idea if he is genuine.
Maybe sacked from Gregs
It's just a shame that when they are sued, they don't pay out of their own pockets. The law needs to change on this.
Muppets. Pure ego

Wtf did you thank him for verbally saying his shoulder number at the end!
To be fair the constable was trying to read when he was asked to identify. Their struggle is real.
