BRO, thank you so much! I got a new iphone 15 (used to animate on iphone 7) and the new camera is sooo easy to change. It is very sensitive. I didnt have to worry about much with my iphone 7 but now i do lol. I just came from trying to animate a scene and i could NOT figure out why there was so much light flicker. Little did i know the video I was I was watching about light flicker was causing the light flicker (and other videos I was previously watching). Very ironic, thank youuuu!

Another fantastic video, my friend! This is another reason my old manual-aperture Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens is my favorite for animation, because I KNOW the camera isn't doing anything to it, since it contains no electronics. :) The camera stays in manual, with a locked WB and shutter, and I adjust aperture at the lens. You're right about that SLOW shutter speed (which I combat the overexposure with a low ISO or VND filter) fixing some of the flicker issues. Very thorough video! I like your work!

Thank you very much for your videos. I recently discovered your UA-cam account and work.
I’v always been fascinated with the ball and socket joint, and how I can design and improve it in my own workshop. I don’t do stop motion work, however I became fascinated with the ball and socket joint after several years of having my own small machine shop. And I found many needs for a precision ball and socket arm and clamp system. So I designed and made several iterations for myself and other professionals.
Not sure if you’ve considered it, but there are several profitable markets for your products and designs.
Photography mounting and clamping is a huge, market.... and high-end ball and socket joints would be very sought after.
But the biggest industries that have yet to be tapped, are precision metalworking and jewelers communities.
I’ve made several ball and socket arms and clamp systems, for friends and clients who are professional jewelers, machinist, electronics engineers, and metal fabricators. I did this as favors, because they saw my system and how are you guys in my workshop and they couldn’t find anywhere to purchase something like it.
I know there are nice and precision bases and mounting systems for dial indicators and other machinist tools… But they fall short of what is needed in other areas.
If you look at the GRS brand of “helping hands“it’s several hundred dollars .... $300 I believe…and it’s nowhere near as nice as your products. I purchased the entire system from GRS to go along with their engraving tools and vices I have. And I was not impressed with their ball and socket joints. Especially for $300.
If you offered a high-quality helping hands for jewelers, electronic engineers, and service technicians to use as a soldering base and for placing precision work… I think your sales would explode!
Also people who do precision fabrication… To have ball and socket arms that are longer and heavy duty which would easily mount to extruded aluminum so that it is completely modular and can be moved around into any configuration. I know people who would pay big money for that stuff if it was on the market.
You may not be interested in expanding to other markets, but your quality of work and attention to detail are top notch! And there are voids in the market to be filled! I think GRS has proved that.

Maybe a way to fix flicker could to be completely battery operated - lights, camera, laptop - that way fluctuations from external electrical sources or voltage drops would be eliminated.

Perhaps the software engineers at Dragonframe could come up with a way to keep the lighting consistent over however many frames are selected. If you like the lighting in a particular frame then with a couple of clicks you could apply that lighting over an entire scene and eliminate the flicker.
