Trying to analyze what's wrong with my backsquat for several months now. Interesting journey what I learn and how much wrong and incomplete information is out there. Even very experienced lifters with a lot of national records looked over my form regularly and gave wrong advice (regarding my biomechanics and unique struggles). Looking deeper into my biomechanics I now know that I have to squat like a folding chair basically.. After introducing front squats I wondered why they are so easy and just 15% below my back squat max ^^ It's bc they are in center of gravity while my back squat (high bar/medium bar) isn't at all unless I fold like crazy which I cannot do rn. I have to build up my back suqat from zero, basically. And for taxing all involved muscles heavly I can at least do SSB squats in squat shoes but I have to lean forward like crazy nontheless. Even on front squats I have to lean forward to some extend to be in center of gravity with my long femurs. I analyze every day, before, while and after each training session. Not changing too much at a time and being patient is a very good advice. That's what I do now even if my back squat is still with shitty form and too high and deadlifting from the floor still doesn't work bc I am too slow when bracing at the top to get into a reasonable setup position while on the bottom I can't brace at all. Everything takes a loooong time to learn all the stuff. I really really like your approach that client and coach have to be on a kinda similar wave length and "world" view and yes that's the (only) reason I don't have a coach so far. There a some people I considered but in the end I just find them really cool and likable but there is not much common ground.. For example I go very very bad with any rigid system, just doesn't work and 99,9% aren't able to understand me and the things which work really well for me at all (until they see my progress while self-coaching). As an autistic person I function extremly different and I also don't need to study a topic like physics, informatics, psychology or philosphy with the help of teachers/school/university to master it. In contrary It really slows me down to an extreme extend. Self-teaching was always the only(!) way which worked out for me and worked out extremly well and efficient. I am just unable to learn with concepts of other people, always was that way. Only some(!) other autistic people I could benefit from. Difficult to explain. So these kinds of videos are kinda helpful for me being "forced" to self-coach atm.
I work out on my own and the results are 3 times better if it was with a trainer. But I agree that the health risks are much higher. It's a matter of personal choice. Subscribed.
That's a good point on the check ins. I do keep tabs on how things are going and make mental notes, but I should actually write them down and do it more regularly.
Brendan, if you are running the squat dup program you made previously, but can only squat 2x a week, how would you sggest adjusting the program? I squat around 2.5x bw

Great video with a ton of good information. 🔥🔥
Every video you put out is convincing me more and more to sign up for coaching rip my moneyyyy

Solid info. Definitely need to be around some big dogs and different methods.

Very simple, just remove the tertiary squat day! Just don’t do that day and the program will still run amazingly
@@BrendanTietz thanks bro, appreciate the help- keep the videos coming!
