@8Dgman hell yeah man. horse is one of the only things i listen to these days. and for a long time, i am also glad they are still around. so many good bands are breaking up.
@8Dgman how would you know. i mean, i can imagine, but they don't have to do what they are doing if they don't want to. if they didn't want to do it, they wouldn't be doing it. the only thing i can imagine, is the fact that they are the most underrated band out there and they deserve much much more attention for the effort they put out. but i still would give so much to be in there position i just can't imagine complaining about it.
Actually I'm in a band and hating life because of it. I've crippled myself into not every having any money, sanity, health, security, comfort, etcetera for the past few years and I haven't even experienced half the things this band has experienced and my mind quickly changed once my band started doing more stuff. It's a nightmare and isn't worth the effort you have to put out but somehow I keep doing it. I love music but I hate taking it so seriously.
@chadinterrupted and as far as touring and seeing the world, you CAN do that. Its not as easy as snapping your fingers, no, but it all takes work. For the earth tour they spent 3 months setting it up ad planning it, its all DIY, and pretty much any DIY band has it rough, because no ones helping them out. They get something here and there from cd sales and the label but its not much and basically thats what most bands have to do at first: plan, fund, and travel on your own resources when touring.
@venturex27 you just told me everything that i already know lol. i do the same thing they do, and try to do it right. not only do me and the rest of my band do what they do, but we record ourselves. well we kind of have to because we don't have enough people to do all the instruments so we backtrack everything and it would be annoying and expensive to work with a real studio when we can DIY. even with jobs and all that other shit me and my band absolutely struggle.
@chadinterrupted not trying to get on a high horse or anything (no pun intended), but its true, being in a band and trying to do most of it yourself is anything but easy. Theres so much politics and BS in the music industry today its unreal. if youre not writing generic bs love songs,or are the next nickelback, then youre not gonna be in the top 25 billboard. Honestly man, the best thing you can do (and anyone really) is watch music docs like "american hardcore". Talks all about DIY concepts
@chadinterrupted eh i don't know. everyones got problems. it just depends on your background and how people grew up. i mean lot of shit coulda happened that affected him. take kurt cobain for example. his families divorce affected him very deeply in his childhood. i mean fuck if i was doing what i love like that i would be happy but life on the road is very lonely after a while.
@chadinterrupted well honestly man, theyre all pretty broke. I mean they work regular jobs when they dont tour, and for the earth tour Dave went into debt just to fund it and their record labels up to this point have kinda fucked them over in one way or another the whole concept to desperate living like he said, was finding the good medium. just because a band tours doesnt mean they live a good life. Most bands are just getting by financially, look at Big d and the kids table, prime example

i love you too pooperpants!
I've never heard of this band. But it seems like they drank too much alcohol. I wonder what they're doing now in 2019?

@8Dgman i love horse the band, but still. wtf? what do they have to complain about.
I think they do a good job of putting up with it though. Which is surprising considering they talk shit about anything.
Anyone else sick of Cutsman?? Desperate Living sounds better than anythign theyve ever done.
