Hi LLA, One incident happened with me also, I closed OneCard one month ago but they didn't credit my amount. I warned them 3 times but they didn't credit. Then I warned them again in email by saying I will take help from UA-camRS. Then they credited the amount in same day.

As a banker myself, I would like to point out one more problem that happens with many people. They get offers of lifetime free credit cards but then bank charges them for the card. Then when the customer complains and deny to pay the charges, bank does not waive the charges but simply writes them off. Due to this, credit score of the customer gets impacted which they realise only when they apply for a loan.
The same case happened to my father 😢 he was promised a lifetime free SBI elite card because he had done a certain amount of transaction in his SBI account and he filled the form and got the form but later in that month 5000 rupees were deducted from his account, he felt very bad , and i was also feeling bad for my poor father he was scammed by the banks, the same banks who are entitled to keep our money safe but they also scam people and the funny part is they think we are supposed to trust them. But later my father did complain in the bank but he refused by the bank by saying that it was your idea to fill the form to get the card. My father felt like his trust has been over with and he got scammed, but he doesn't know what to do hence he is still paying that God damn card. Even these government banks scan people too that is so frustrating.

Same thing happened to me for Axis Bank CC. After 2 months, thankfully they agreed that it was a mistake from their end but still I have paid the joining amount. They gave me the rewards which obviously of no use. Wish I knew the RBI ombudsman at that time. Thanks to you and LLA for this info.
HDFC bank agent called me and told for lifetime free millenium credit card for card to card activation offer. card to card means i have already SBI credit card on that basis they issued HDFC credit card. is this genuin or fraud. i have recorded all calles and customer care verivication call also in deetail way. plz guide
@@vivekiitb034 they regularly call people to sell their credit cards. That's not illegal. If hdfc has sold you a card or deducted money from your account without your knowledge, then you have a right to complain to RBI ombudsman.

I have one suggestion. By default your dialer is set to google dialer so that app gives prior notification like "This call is now being recorded" You can turn it off by changing that option, you check search on youtube and you will find tutorial for that. Hence, that annoying voice of 'Recording started' can be removed! And, thank you very much for your efforts in educating nation about finance and stuff. Love you, team LLA ❤️

Similar thing happened to me with HDFC Bank . I was then given an option either to make standing instruction to either pay ebill/ mobile bill monthly or spend above a certain amt. Otherwise pay 1500 plus gst .
This is exactly what happened with me recently by hdfc bank. But thankfully they did agree to fulfill their promise after heated arguments with bank manager. But thanks for making this video to spread awareness and knowledge to take further steps if issue doesn't get resolved through bank end.

Happened with me as well. icici bank employee did it. I paid the 590 charges initially and then picked it up with customer support. Took me a whole 3 months to fight with 10 different people from the bank to finally reverse the charges in my statement.
The RBI's grievance management is great! I faced an issue with a prominent NBFC for a loan, and they were not responding to my complaints or escalations. Fast forward to raising a complaint to the banking ombudsman, my issue was resolved in 1 day!!
Same happened with me for hdfc card it was offered as free card, but I was charged 499+GST. When I complaint them they said card is chargeable and that card agent left the job, i have paid the charges but they are not providing any resolution. I don't have any proof right now.

I recently got the same from ICICI Bank for their Coral Credit Cards ; After watching this video I called the customer care and they confirmed all the things the sales guy claimed. So I think it depends if you are going to be scammed or not. BTW on the brochure he shared there is joining fee and annual fee mentioned, but the customer support said that you got this card in offer so they are waived off. I did a similar thing with Zest Money as they spoiled my Cibil score for a transaction which I later cancelled. They even closed the loan on the app but actually submitted default to the credit score companies.

Excellent video. Hey, can you also cover on banks recanting on benefits touted during advertisement for their credit cards. Some cash back cards have started to withdraw benefits which they initially used to advertise, and that too within a span of less than a year.
I would like to express my gratitude to the LLA team and commend Manav for sharing his experience. Unfortunately, I also had an unpleasant encounter with SBI concerning a password reset issue on Yono. Despite several attempts, the bank failed to reset my password and I had to make multiple visits to the branch. To my disappointment, the manager was unable to provide a solution, leaving me feeling frustrated and helpless. Although I was angry, there was nothing I could do.

Similar case happened with me with SBI PULSE credit card. The guy said it will be LTF but after I got the card they charged me annual fee + GST. I raised a complaint in SBI gave the agent's number and everything and they said I had aggred to pay the charge and closed my ticket. Then I raised the complaint again and this time I talked a bit aggressively and they said I am reverting the charges and told me to use the card for one year and later I can decide if i want to keep or not. I didn't use this card a single time after it was issued. Few days ago I raised the request to close this card and now my card is closed. And I still get calls from some agent selling LTF sbi cards. I simply say no and cut the call. Now I stay aware and if i find any LTF cards I go to the banks official website to check the offer. If i find then only I apply like recently I got axis Bank my zone and bank of baroda premier for LTF which I applied from the banks website itself.

Sir I was really searching about this on your channel for a few days and didn't get any video. I'm very thankful to you for the information you gave. Sir, I want to tell you my I problem in which I am stuck from few days, and I know only you can help me. I opened a Savings bank account on Punjab National Bank on 2014 and for some reason I left the account on 2015 (thinking that It will close automatically). Now on 21 March 2023 I received a payment which was sent using Adhaar Enabled Payment System, My bad luck that the Adhaar payment was linked with PNB bank account so the payment was credited to the same. Now the problem comes, According to RBI Guidelines passed on 20 November 2014 (It should be ensured that the balance in the savings account does not turn into negative balance solely on account of levy of charges for non-maintenance of minimum balance.) The bank got my Bank account to a negative balance and deducted the charges of around Rs. 8000 after the money being credited. They are not even listening to this and saying that nothing could happen now. Please help me what should I do, also please tell me if they are wrong or not
Complaint with the customer helpline number, ask them do they had any automatic account closing policy or you only research about it. And then if you are not satisfied with resolution given by the bank then please contact the RBI Ombudsman within 20-30 days of the complaint!!

Same thing Yes Bank did with me. I was told it would be LTF, then after it was issued, it turned out to chargeable, and I validated this before activating it. I didn't activate it, and today after 37 days the card was automatically closed thanks to RBI rules for no charge to myself!
Really great...❤️❤️ For me the credit card people charged Dec 2022 transaction on Mar 2023. Even at that time they have charged some charges but when I called the customer care guy was rude and told me "BANK CAN CHARGE AT ANY TIME AND ITS THERE CHOICE"

The same happens to me with the axis bank. I complained to the Nodal Officer of axis bank but I did not complain to RBI Bank and after a few days AXIS Bank convert to life time free card.

I have already lodged the complain, escalated the issue to the greviences and will file a complaint with ombudsman on Wednesday as I was given final deadline by the bank. I won a similar war with the help of RBI in 2017; even the bank paid 4100rs (100rs per day fine) as compensation because they could not resolve my concern within the stipulated time.
The same thing happened with me for axis bank credit card. but due to lack of call recording i was not able to do anything. I closed my credit card at the end. Very useful video.
Here in UAE, Its same problem but I am using same technique of conversing over emails or whats app since long. Some agree nicely, some disagree (third parties). But Now its much more than annual charges. The facilities have hidden rules nowadays. this is more irritating than unwanted deductions. Personally I use credit cards for the facilities, but when you are debarred when you need most. Its infuriating. Good Info shown here.
An incident happened with me. I have taken education loan from SBI, My course duration was 4 years but after 3 years they have started calling me for repay of loan, I have complained to rbi and then they have stopped the calling. So I give consent to close the complaint. but now onwards mode of interest was changed from Simple to compound.... upto 3 yesrs of loan, type of Interest was Simple, but my course duration was of 4 years. I have complained to bank about it but after 1 month they haven't resolved my problem then I moved to RBI ombudman and now I got compensation of 70k. that was very good feeling...

I had similar help from RBI during lockdown when HDFC put my loan into moratorium without my consent. I fought for 4 months and got it corrected.

Happened with me as well. icici bank employee did it. I paid the 590 charges initially and then picked it up with customer support. Took me a whole 3 months to fight with 10 different people from the bank to finally reverse the charges in my statement.

The RBI's grievance management is great! I faced an issue with a prominent NBFC for a loan, and they were not responding to my complaints or escalations. Fast forward to raising a complaint to the banking ombudsman, my issue was resolved in 1 day!!

Same happened with me for hdfc card it was offered as free card, but I was charged 499+GST. When I complaint them they said card is chargeable and that card agent left the job, i have paid the charges but they are not providing any resolution. I don't have any proof right now.
If you don't have any proof then you can't do anything.

I recently opened a zero balance savings account with IndusInd Bank and requested a debit card through their official banking app. Although the app did not show any charges for the card, the bank deducted Rs. 2950 from my account for issuance charges. Despite complaining to the bank, I did not receive an appropriate response.
After watching your video, I have decided to register a complaint with the RBI Ombudsman to resolve this issue. Thank you for sharing this valuable information and helping people like me to seek justice.

I recently got the same from ICICI Bank for their Coral Credit Cards ; After watching this video I called the customer care and they confirmed all the things the sales guy claimed. So I think it depends if you are going to be scammed or not. BTW on the brochure he shared there is joining fee and annual fee mentioned, but the customer support said that you got this card in offer so they are waived off. I will be looking at my bank statements closely for next few weeks.

is this genuin or fraud. i have recorded all calles and customer care verivication call also in deetail way.

I did a similar thing with Zest Money as they spoiled my Cibil score for a transaction which I later cancelled. They even closed the loan on the app but actually submitted default to the credit score companies.
Facing similar issue with RBL bank, I was thinking to write to LLA for suggestions. Then yesterday came across this video.

Excellent video. Hey, can you also cover on banks recanting on benefits touted during advertisement for their credit cards. Some cash back cards have started to withdraw benefits which they initially used to advertise, and that too within a span of less than a year.

I would like to express my gratitude to the LLA team and commend Manav for sharing his experience. Unfortunately, I also had an unpleasant encounter with SBI concerning a password reset issue on Yono. Despite several attempts, the bank failed to reset my password and I had to make multiple visits to the branch. To my disappointment, the manager was unable to provide a solution, leaving me feeling frustrated and helpless. Although I was angry, there was nothing I could do.

A similar incident happened with me , I followed each and every step and finally got 2500 Rs as a penalty from SBI for a delay in the reversal of the amount for failed UPI transaction

Similar case happened with me with SBI PULSE credit card. The guy said it will be LTF but after I got the card they charged me annual fee + GST. I raised a complaint in SBI gave the agent's number and everything and they said I had aggred to pay the charge and closed my ticket. Then I raised the complaint again and this time I talked a bit aggressively and they said I am reverting the charges and told me to use the card for one year and later I can decide if i want to keep or not. I didn't use this card a single time after it was issued. Few days ago I raised the request to close this card and now my card is closed.
And I still get calls from some agent selling LTF sbi cards. I simply say no and cut the call. Now I stay aware and if i find any LTF cards I go to the banks official website to check the offer. If i find then only I apply like recently I got axis Bank my zone and bank of baroda premier for LTF which I applied from the banks website itself.

@@SpunkyMaster i have deleted numbers and recordings now. This happened a while back in Nov22. Didnt knew back then what to do.
But the same is happening in SBI and HDFC CREDIT CARDS also. Also they are following unfair practices to issue cards for the users. This is just another addition.

Sir, I want to tell you my I problem in which I am stuck from few days, and I know only you can help me.
I opened a Savings bank account on Punjab National Bank on 2014 and for some reason I left the account on 2015 (thinking that It will close automatically). Now on 21 March 2023 I received a payment which was sent using Adhaar Enabled Payment System, My bad luck that the Adhaar payment was linked with PNB bank account so the payment was credited to the same.
Now the problem comes, According to RBI Guidelines passed on 20 November 2014 (It should be ensured that the balance in the savings account does not turn into negative balance solely on account of levy of charges for non-maintenance of minimum
balance.)
The bank got my Bank account to a negative balance and deducted the charges of around Rs. 8000 after the money being credited. They are not even listening to this and saying that nothing could happen now.
Please help me what should I do, also please tell me if they are wrong or not
Complaint with the customer helpline number, ask them do they had any automatic account closing policy or you only research about it. And then if you are not satisfied with resolution given by the bank then please contact the RBI Ombudsman within 20-30 days of the complaint!!

The same case happened with me 2 weeks back I was miss selled with a lifetime free Yes CC but received a AMC one so I registered a complaint but there was not resolution so I just closed the card. Should have gone with RBI 😂
Same thing Yes Bank did with me. I was told it would be LTF, then after it was issued, it turned out to chargeable, and I validated this before activating it. I didn't activate it, and today after 37 days the card was automatically closed thanks to RBI rules for no charge to myself!

For me the credit card people charged Dec 2022 transaction on Mar 2023.
Even at that time they have charged some charges but when I called the customer care guy was rude and told me "BANK CAN CHARGE AT ANY TIME AND ITS THERE CHOICE"

The same happens to me with the axis bank. I complained to the Nodal Officer of axis bank but I did not complain to RBI Bank and after a few days AXIS Bank convert to life time free card.
Love your content, Can you make a long video on taxation rules and payment methods for freelancers, specially dealing with international clients, there are many videos on youtube, but most of them are unclear. Please take the initiative and make a video.
Something similar happened with my kotak account. I have already lodged the complain, escalated the issue to the greviences and will file a complaint with ombudsman on Wednesday as I was given final deadline by the bank. If you want I can share the entire case story once it gets resolved so it can help others.

I won a similar war with the help of RBI in 2017; even the bank paid 4100rs (100rs per day fine) as compensation because they could not resolve my concern within the stipulated time.
One of the most useful video.I was also offered a lifetime free credit card from HDFC Bank, hoping nothing would happen to me like in this case.
The same thing happened with me for axis bank credit card. but due to lack of call recording i was not able to do anything. I closed my credit card at the end. Very useful video.

Here in UAE, Its same problem but I am using same technique of conversing over emails or whats app since long. Some agree nicely, some disagree (third parties). But Now its much more than annual charges. The facilities have hidden rules nowadays. this is more irritating than unwanted deductions.
Personally I use credit cards for the facilities, but when you are debarred when you need most. Its infuriating.

An incident happened with me. I have taken education loan from SBI, My course duration was 4 years but after 3 years they have started calling me for repay of loan, I have complained to rbi and then they have stopped the calling. So I give consent to close the complaint.
but now onwards mode of interest was changed from Simple to compound....
upto 3 yesrs of loan, type of Interest was Simple, but my course duration was of 4 years.
I have complained to bank about it but after 1 month they haven't resolved my problem then I moved to RBI ombudman and now I got compensation of 70k.
that was very good feeling...
