This is the problem with mga, they’ll have a run putting out banger dolls and then after like two or three years start simplifying and kidifying everything and idk if they do it to cut on costs or whatever but it’s so weird to me, I remember when they started doing it with bratz and it was the WORST 😭

Yes I think so. You can see how Jades top and Sunny's look wider already at the ends.

There are plenty of Poppy runway dolls here. The others are slightly reduced. She is the only one remaining full price! No poppy trashed here in London!
Damn I hate that, that sunny has a gorgeous face, I kinda might want to get her.
I think they did them all dirty 2024 lineup is not something I will be buying! I am still thinking about this years shadow high lineup. I was intrigued about storybrook stuff but that doesn’t sound like it’ll happen 😢

Orange is my favorite color so I’m pretty crushed that Poppy is out.. She was the whole reason I started collecting Rainbow high.. 😢
For those complaining about the wrist articulation: they most likely removed them because how loose the pegs would be on different batches and how in packaging there would be hands missing or hands have fallen off during shipping to retailers, so therefore, that concludes why they removed the wrist articulation.
Also funny story: when I found my Fantastic Fashion (Runway Skyler) at Walmart? Her hand wasn’t secured and it was missing, I thought she didn’t come with it, but her hand came off during shipping.

I'm not sure how to feel about G2 Rainbow High.
I think it's the end . I feel that they are trying to reach a younger audience
I have a feeling that they are hiding an extravagant RH/SH line that’s not coordinated the rainbow world arc. And maybe we will get to see Poppy and the wrist joints again. My theory is that they are sadly using those 6 for the children, and the other characters for the extravagant lines( that might or might not come). And also they are gonna merge SH and PC together to RH, as one whole brand and so we can see the PC and SH characters be in a line together with the RH characters( that aren’t gonna be in the rainbow world)
I only care for Sunny and maybe Violet but that's it, idk why doll lines keep shooting themselves in the foot, like it has happened with almost every doll line i have collected:
Monster High when transitioning between G1 and G2 (I love G3), Ever After High, Disney Princess and their plastic tops, Winx Club specifically Witty Toys, and now Rainbow High.
They don't have much make up on at all. I assume cause they're for younger children.
imo violet, sunny, and ruby have amazing faces.
I think this is MGAs way of saying that if we really valued the dolls for what they were, we would buy them at their retail price point. RH dolls almost ALWAYS went on sale to the point it was a standard. Many customers, influencers, etc would comment saying they would wait for sales blah blah. So, as a means to adapt to that, this is probably their experimental game to see if sale numbers can increase or survive the retailer price chops

I actually like Amaya as I would treat her as a new member of Rainbow High because she looks so different , but the rest are really repeats of what I already have so unless they are really cheap probably wouldn't buy the new releases. Some of the juniors I will get especially Bella as I really didn't like her original doll, so I am missing a Bella from my collection. Hopefully for the Poppy lovers, this is just phase one and the other dolls will follow. But PLEASE bring back Shadow High. The Major change is how JUVENILE they have become, to attract the younger kids. They lost the sophistication and uniqueness they had, and are just like every other doll on the market now. It is a slippery slope they are on now.
What about storywood?? Are they not doing that anymore in favor for rainbow world?? 😭

Up close, the faces look pretty good, but the makeup is much more basic than it was for past releases of these characters. The outfits don't look the worst on Sklyer, Ruby, and Sunny, but I feel like the other 3 could have been styled better. I still feel like the Poopsie pets make no logical sense existing in the RH Universe! And I definitely miss Poppy!🖤💜

see i actully relly like that sunny shes very pretty i love her face and the hair is very cute. honstly i wasnt i big fan of sunny but her most recent dolls have been so pretty.. i actully like tinsel in doll hair i think it can work, it just more difficult to style.

I am hoping this doesnt kill the brand they look so cheap compared to the previous quality we were getting dont know why or who thought to bring out the poopsie slime again but they knew it wouldnt work when they started off of this brand lol also my life makeover versions of rainbow high which you can find on my channel look better than these cheap things like they arent so ugly but its not great

Why are they rebooting?
Honestly Sunnys and Rubys base dolls look really pretty, the big turn off is the Lazy remake of their old outfits, i actually really like Skyler she's really pretty and i like Jade's Haorstyle and outfit, Amaya is atrocious though and the only thing that is good about her is her dress to put on Jett. Also i think that since Amaya is in series 1 now i think that Poppy will be in Series 2 with Bella , Stella etc. To intigrate her but not have her be that big of a character.

Im deeply disappointed in rainbow high rn the last birthday gift my mom gave me was poppy....most of makeup is off ,the clothes are now dollar store barbie, less character variety, i HATE the wrists so sadly i wouldn't be buying any of the new dolls.......i really hope after this year thell realise they ruined a good thing every thing i loved about this line is gone

Honestly this whole rainbow world are on the whole thing Yeah kind of amazing that brand new rainbow high dolls that are coming out in 2024 for the soft reboot I’m pretty excited

I'm kind of glad Poppy isn't in this line, since she isn't being subjected to the simplified treatment. For me, Amaya is the prettiest of the bunch, and probably the only one I'll end up getting from this new line. Kind of sad I can't see her shoes. The tinsel chunks in many of the other dolls' hair is a huge turn-off for me, since it's a pain to comb and style, and I end up pulling it out anyway. Amaya's looks more evenly distributed. Of course, I could change my mind entirely when I see them on shelves. MGA is definitely experimenting, and I hope for their sake the experiment goes well, and I hope that if they're spinning RH down to appeal to a younger audience that they keep SH for the older crowd. This most recent series of SH is gorgeous in person.

I dont like the violet dress at all, And the jades outfit is ugly too. I think the ruby looks like one of those dollar general cheap dolls. Though I really like the sunny doll but not her outfit...it looks to much like her og outfit.
Oh no. They’re doing the same thing as ever after high. (Yes i know EAH is mattel.) theyre making everything cheaper and cutting corners. We’re losing quality. Wouldn’t be surprised if the writing for the show is terrible or infantilized. Yeeeaahh…. Im jumping ship. This is bad vibes.
