The American fast-food giant McDonald’s announced on May 16, 2022, that it would sell its 850 restaurants in Russia and exit the market entirely. The global brand opened in Russia in 1990, but now joins a growing list of international firms to pull out of Russia since its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

My final McDonald's was July 2004. I used to eat there 5- 7 days a week!! I stopped to be more healthy, tho I am not fat. I really miss it, and would still love a hmaburger or big mac meal but still I am pleased with 18 years and don't want to break that record
I remember watching news footage on the first McDonalds opening in the 80s during the cold war in Russia where people had to spend a week wages for a burger. And now its happening again 😢
Maybe Russia can start a new fast food chains like US, call in McRuss

when an international company comes in, local business owners have to close their shops, and people's money will go overseas.
A blessing in disguise
Well, I’m sure the Russians can still make burgers and fries and soft drinks even without those Golden Arches.
I see this as a absolute win for Russia. McDonalds aren't necessary anywhere.
Sometimes simple things make the brand and customer experience. That golden letter "M" for McDonald's has been turned sideway by Russian business people for a "new" fast food chain. It seems many things can be easily copied ... McD's wrappers, signs ...
plastic foods there are several experiments done on the Mcdonald's menu. They never decay and full of harmful chemicals. It should leave all countries not just Russia.
fast foods fills your stomach, saying that it's unhealthy depends on how much you consume them, you can't blame McDonald's if your health deteriorates. Blame your decision making and poor health guide.
