    Actually Sorin IT8887/IT8987 can work with 1.8V or 3.3V by EC setting. Most eeprom chips nowadays work with 1.8V.

    Hi sir im your listener your amazing in electronic repair and remedy, your video is no cut when youre in trouble. Some technician where in trouble and cannot find whats the problems....in tagalog its say i have "bangungot" bad dreams...what ever in hours long you look so good no stress .i like your style...
    Sir may i know about your digital multimeter what is brand..can you reveal the look.of that multimeter and the microscope really good.thank you so much im learned so many from you..when im bz on my table i listening to your video wjile working..im sr citezen ..60 im hobbyist in electronics.

    No - nothing wrong using handheld, wish I had done that, stuck with an iphone flir for now. You made a good decision to go with the handheld camera. Nice to see you using a thermal camera ...finally.🙂 What's up with the gloves here & not at work?

    If you pull the SIO, would checking it's pads tell you if the CPU is dead.

    There is a high chance that if you plugin your usb thermal cam in your pc it will act as a webcam. That way you don't need to use android and you can capture the output and let us follow along.

    @Sorin: in rare cases the charger can look good with 19v but then with a load it fails, most likely due to a bad capacitor

    When I plug in chargeur led lights up and when I turn it on the other light turn on for 5sec and nothing happens
    Someone told me maybe bios or io
    On the motherboard there is 3.3v 5v 20.3v

    iam repairing right now asus 315 with same ec chip, no output on pin 3, guess that starting 3,3 and 5v ... lets see if u get lucky lol

    Why dont you check without the flex cable from USB?

      @@robertoruiz7069, probably you are right, but just to eliminate a potential short on the cable or USB connector - happens with bent pins sometimes. That USB short might be causing Super IO falling into short....just an idea

    USB C ports are not very durable. I have seen in some other videos also,this USB C IC goes bad. Specifically in HP spectra 360s.

    Acer SF315 models are one of the worst to repair.

      Oh yes I bought a bunch of broken ones at a surplus-returns type warehouse auction.
      The two longest weeks of my short career...
      *I must add that they didn't sell well too. Acer in Canada doesn't have the best reputation.

    I see manufacturers still don't protect the cpu or io-chip with fuses ,i think they do it so the customer has to buy a new laptop. Shame on them

    İTE super i/o chips always pain in the ass ,all gigabyte boards have this and they cant control fan rpms fully ,untamable chip it is.
