- Well, the final cuts are in. Will this year's version of the Riders manage a run for the playoffs? Some people were surprised at some of the cuts. Thanks welcome aboard. What I seen of Coan has been good. Very calm in the pocket and not afraid to fit passes into small spaces.

Nice report sir...a couple of questions for you on the CFL...how many Canadians have to be on the field at one time? Of the 12 players on the field. What is the ratio for total roster? What size are the total rosters Imports and Canadians? Another question for you. What is the cheapest seat to buy for a game? I see so many empty seats when I am watching on youtube...although not as many at your place when compared to Edmonton and or Toronto...speaking of Toronto, what is the deal with MOP Kelley? You hit it right on the head last year in that Eastern Final...he blew that game all by himself. You guys have the bye first...not what you look for starting out the gate unless you have some pre-season injuries...good luck to the Riders this season...will be following along now that I have 'inside information'...LOL
Bit of a hard one to answer the ratio. Their is so many snap rules but this is general idea.
Maximum of 3 QBs (no designation)
Maximum of 19 American players
Minimum of 21 National players
Including one nationalized American
Minimum of 1 Global player
8 players must be starters def or off one can be a designated American. A designated American is a player that has played with one team for 3 yrs or 5 yrs in the CFL
Riders play Elks week 1. Cheapest for that game around 30 bucks. Bit more for Rider home game are around 40 dollar mark. Thank for watching and subscribing.
@@roughriderguy I played college football with Joe Vujuk, who played one season with the Toronto Argos and the Grey Cup runner's up in 1971. He was an automatic property of Toronto when he came to the states to play is college football. Chuck Leibrock played a few years before me at Hillsdale and he went on to play for the Blue Bombers...Vijuk had a mean forearm and I ran into it several times playing on offense. Joe played defensive end and guard for the Argos for that one season. My last pro game I went to was at Lambeau Field in 2013 and I paid my buddy for his ticket and it was $99. That was over ten years ago...I imagine that same seat, he has season tickets, must go for well over 120 or 30
bucks...I should ask him...he might go to one game a year and he sells the others so he can renew his season ticket package and make a little on the side too. The games they are a changing young man!

Those last 4 minutes in the Edmonton game were super stressful, glad they got it done!!!

I was a bit upset that Maintosh didn't make the practice list.
As far as Fine, who was the best clipboard holder we had may in up in Calgary.
Course what can you say about the Fagot cut is the announcers can breathe a bit easier from mis saying bis name. Hickson was lucky he made the practice roster another RB that is not that great. I am looking forward to Oullett and Ratcovich combo thinking it is a great fit for the Riders.
Love the fact Riders have a great receiving core lot's of talent and kept Myers. Ajou for Lenius is a good call.
Don't forget we got a great global play with Baldinaro
I like that Baldinaro too. I forgot to mention RJ McIntosh was on my list. RJ was got threw few times but overran the QB but sure moved him out of pocket. Might have to keep him on speed dial if we don't get any push to the qb.
Also, I am happy we kept Zack Fry, and I can see him on the O line fairly shortly his pre season was good, and his extra blocking on plays stood out.
Yes also like Sceviour Riders picked up from Calgary.
Whenever I watch your videos where you walk thru the wood I worry about where Rider is. 😀
I try to keep eye out but he seems to find his way back. Only seen one coyote and one fox around. Rider mostly sniffs for squirrel's.
Definitely Lenius is a big surprise. I like Ratkovich is on the roster. Sure since it is a long season, we could see a cut or 2 be called back.
Week 1 will be a tough matchup. I think Edmonton is gonna be good. IMO, BC will be 4th and crossover.
Glad to see Ajou Ajou get a shot. Teams overlooked him and we stole him in the draft. He had some tough luck down south. I think were definitely deeper this season. Time to start the real season. Go Riders! Congratulations on 500 subscribers

Lenius just could not stay healthy. Maybe another team will take a chance on him. I had such high hopes for him when he came back from NFL. Thought he be our 2 and long pass catcher replace Rosie.
They should’ve definitely kept DB Katley Joseph! He’s a beast and will get the chance to show it in this league !!!
I think the biggest problem is players don't get enough snaps or play going their way in camp and preseason games. Hard to evaluate.
Was I right Mason fine got cut and Shea Patterson is the backup quarterback behind Trevor Harris and Jack coan is the short yardage quarterback
Yes good call. Guess I was a bit surprised letting Fine go but guess Riders can use the salary to attract other talent.
I wasn't surprised that they let Fine and Pipkin go it was time for a change there.
Riders might be on the hunt for another qb from down south.

Those linebacker cuts really hurt was pulling for Fagot and Brunson as players we could develop into excellent middle linebackers. As far as the jerseys go, I'm happy they're not totally black. There's too many teams with black jerseys in the league alittle overdone in my opinion.
Brunson won my hit of the year last season. When he went down on special teams and flattened the kick returner. Sure it was a tough choice for the coaches.
I don't think any of the other teams will pick up Mason Fine unless they have injuries early in the season! By the way I'm a new subscriber to your channel & enjoy your commentary! Thank you for that!

Quick Question who is going to be cut on Friday to get the numbers down. We have still a few players9ver our limit. 6 Anericans and 3 Canadians.
Not to sure about the numbers. Think they can have 45 on a roster and 10 on practice roster.

I just like black players look like beasts in them. Think the younger generation will like this new color scheme. Like I said they could wear pink, long as they play good lol.
