I'm sorry.. it's bad for him to hear of what HE DID. He knows what he did.. they are telling him the consequences of those actions. The consequences that the innocent children he abused had to take on. If it's bad for his mental health...GOOD. maybe he will change then..

Causing her to have a severe eating disorder and weighing almost 75 pounds as a 15 year old 5’4 teenager. I think everything about this sport is disgusting and I’m not surprised this happened and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that more coaches or doctors for gymnastics are like this

Of all of these powerful young women's statements, there are two that really stand out for me, Alexis Moore and the mother of Chelsea Markham. Moore has a heart of gold and when she spoke of love being more powerful than hate, she obviously meant it. As for Markham, I believe based on her mother's testimony that she began to die the moment Nassar laid his hands on her for the first time, a process that lasted another 10 or 11 years until she took her own life. In a lot of ways, she didn't take her own life but rather, he took it from her.

I was a rising Short Track Speedskater with US Speedskating that was obviously associated with the USOC. I saw fellow athletes getting physically abused in locker rooms and even rink side in front of everyone at the Oval in Utah. I'm unaware of any sexual abuse but the verbal and physical abuse I witnessed was scary. And I'm saying those being abused were already Olympic gold medalists. I didn't make it to the national team due to a cardiac issue but we all trained together under the same roof. It happened in plain sight. USS was sued a couple of years ago and I stand behind every athlete that tried for years to get the attention of the USOC and couldn't. The USOC is just as culpable in these cases and they still aren't taking action to do anything. It's absolutely flooring to witness. We won't have Olympics in the future if this continues. It's even worse in other nations. There needs to be a precedent set that if you as a coach, doctor, PT, massage therapist, nutrition coach, staff member or board member step out of line, you will be prosecuted and punished to the furthest extent of the law and you should be terrified. It is not hard to be an honest and decent person and behave yourself. So do that! Or, you will be punished.

How was he allowed to go on for so long abusing innocent children? When I 1st went to my OBGYN office, there was a consent form asking if I would prefer to see a female or male doctor. I always checked off for female. But in the event there was none the day I was scheduled, they gave the option of having a nurse in the room during the examination while being seen by a male doctor. I don’t know if this is standard in medical offices. But perhaps in this particular office they saw a lot of orthodox jewish women so there was that option? These girls should have never been allowed to be alone...EVER! with this doctor or any male trainer/coach/md. This man, however, was to brazen and so confident in his evil actions that he got away with molesting the girls even in the presence of parents in the exam room. Pure evil this man is. Never leave them alone with ANYONE. We have too many sick minded people today.

I know she would never see this, but I'm so moved, I can't help but write in the first person:
WAY TO GO ALY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our country is even more proud to call you a fellow American now, because of your response and reaction to your abuse, then we were when you won your gold medal. We can't wait to see you in the next Summer olympics (if all goes according to plan; she announced just recently that she'll be doing one more, which is amazing in itself because, for a gymnast, she's a little old lady! She'll be, what, 25? That's unheard of for a gymnast - the fact she even has that goal shows how determined she is, not that that needed to be confirmed about an olympic gold medalist), and we'll be so proud of you for getting there again, even after all this, regardless of the outcome. You should be so proud of *yourself* too. It's fitting your book is called, "Fierce", cause that's EXACTLY how I'd describe you.
Honestly, I've always liked her, since I first was introduced to her in her first olympics with the "Fab Five" team (the year Gaby one the "all around" gold individual medal), and have always had great respect for her, and all olympians.... but now, wow, she's really something else!
Honestly, I have full faith that between Aly, Jordyn, and Mikayla (Simone and Gaby have chosen to be more quiet in response to this situation, only releasing short statements saying that, they too, received the abusive "treatments" that served no medical purpose and were just for Larry's... I refuse to call him "Doctor" anything!.... sick pleasure..... and that's their perogative as victims; I respect them for their own choices, and believe they should do whatever they feel ready to do, even if that means "do nothing", as they process, and heal from, this horrific situation), but especially Aly, once she's retired from competing, will protect the future generation of gymnasts and make sure rules and procedures are in place to be sure nothing like this ever happens again.

They always look so pathetic and remorseful after they are caught. You can bet your life if free, he would still be abusing children with impunity and without an ounce of contrition.

USA gymnastics is disgusting. She added more details about them in her book that I just find inhuman.

Baritone45 As a dancer and former gymanst, I feel that you can't blame gymnastics itself. Things like gymnastics give many kids an outlet. Anything has pressure if you're competing. Discipline and abuse are two different things.

More votes than Trump? Listen up goofball. We dont need someone running the country who gives a great speech about being abused and then takes all her clothes off for a magazine shoot that promotes sexually deviant behavior all in the name of I am woman , hear me roar . Where is the logic in that? She would better serve youth and be an advocate for anti abuse if she kept her clothes on.

It was okay to perpetuate this while the girls were winning Olympic medals, meanwhile USA and Olympic organisation was busy pursuing Russia drug doping. We must recall Lance Armstrong won 7 tour de France because he was duping the system first of all here in the USA.
What is significant with Ms. Aly Raisman is that her victim impact statement was directed at not only Nasser but the entire apparatus and scaffolding. She went for the jugular. I am so proud of her and the other girls. Some into their teens years now but they stood up. Alexis Moore statement was also powerful. I mean each and everyone of the young ladies and few cases when parents spoke, such as the mom with the now deceased daughter through suicide (mhsrip).
    Much respect to all.

So beautifully said. It takes a sick person to take advantage of young women like that, with them being lured to trust him just because "he's a doctor."

Take note most of these now young women speaking were 9 and 10 years old when the sexual abuse occurred, one was only 5 years old! It's okay to refer to them as women (now) and athletes; but let's not lose sight of the fact most of them were little children when the abuse took place and THAT is what makes it so horrific.

Larry got his rocks off for a long time...... He was a slithering snake amongst the young chickens. He was in his own heaven while abusing them. Now as he sits there knowing he's going to spend the rest of his days in a cell segregated from the prison population. He's going to die slowly with his mind running wild alone. The mental torture he's dealing with now is well deserved. If he ever did this to my daughter I would of really beat him and broke his wrists, knees and ankles then called the police. Him being in prison in a wheelchair would of been the ultimate penalty.
