2018 Dodge Demon vs 2019 Corvette ZR1!
Guys, I went out to Street Car Takeover and my buddy Peter brought his 2019 Corvette ZR1 for me to race. I am a Mopar guy at heart but his ZR1 is a beautiful machine. He arrived too late to do any other races, but we were able to convince the guys running the event to let him race me for a Dodge Demon vs 2019 Corvette ZR1 showdown! Cleetus McFarland was there and gave Peter some pointers in launching his brand new ZR1. We're going to race again in the future so keep an eye out for some more Demon vs ZR1 action!

Also if you want specs corvette zr1 has a 6.2 liter supercharged engine producing 755 hp @ 6400 rpm and 711lb-ft tq @ 3600 rpm with 8 speed automatic transmission the 2016 viper is 645 hp 8.4 liter n/a v10 @6200 rpm and 600 ft lbs of tq @ 5000 rpm in a six speed manual

This young guy wasn't even close; most of his loss is off the line but you're also really fast on the lights. Even with comparable rear tires, the Demon (with you in it) will get the win over a ZR1. This is what it's all about - huge fun to watch and discuss.

I wish there was a race between a heads/cam C6 Z06 vs Demon from a 60 roll. Built C6 Z06s seem to be the most brutal naturally aspirated cars and got some serious top end but is it enough to pull on a Demon?

Demonology I really like both cars. I think that vette could of done better with tires. I think it will be a even race.
You’re nuts. The zr1 doesn’t come with normal street tires. They’re still a super sticky racing compound. In fact, they’re even wider than the demons factory drag radial. Taking that huge wing off would give him better results. With the wing his trap speed just isn’t enough. With a 8 mph lower trap he would have to out 60ft the demon. Which aint happening.

Henry Bell III I highly doubt the new venom will give the Demon a challenge. Think about it rumors are 700+ HP. This Vette has 740HP and it's much lighter. Probably lighter than the venom will be too. I doubt Ford is going to compromise there circuit track performance to be able to beat Dodge in the 1/4. The new gt500 isn't going to have the suspension set up to launch as hard as the Demon and that's where it's at. You can't have the best of both worlds you have to pick one (drag racing or circuit racing) Dodge is the 1/4 mile king!

I never said a modded Vette can never beat a demon that would be a retarded comment. There is a c6 motiva Vette here with twin turbos running in the low 7's. If you have a stock 2018 ZR1 you're not beating a stock Demon no argument there. You can't post a picture but you can post plenty of videos which are much better!

lol the vette was a manual transmission. the demon in this video is an automatic. if the zr1 is an auto too, then the zr1 can beat the demon in a drag. there is another video with an auto, and it beats the demon.

The Demon is just too fast and quick on the 1/4 mile track for any stock Corvette. The Corvette will also get beat on the autocross by the ACR Viper and TA Vipers. Dodge has it all.

I didn't get to race Cleetus, but he was running some fast times. Unfortunately the track wasnt prepped very well and I saw that he ran an 8.6 instead of the low 8s he was wanting.
