It’s authentic, raw and whilst some of the voices are not that full nor that stellar the opera is far more clear when presented this way. Many of the tempi are supper fast. However there is much go be learned from this approach as the opera moves forward faster. The grey and black costumes are however far too dreary as is the dull makeup.
