  • Learning the Bob Ross' Oil Painting Technique can help artists of all levels to capture the beauty of the world around them. Follow my tutorial and you CAN paint this. And, I'll help you 😃
    The Bob Ross Oil Painting Technique made famous by the TV artist Bob Ross has inspired generations of budding artists to start their journey. Bob rekindled my love of art after a short break some 30 years ago. After which I've gone on to become a Certified Bob Ross Instructor and taught full-time for the past 25 years. If you are eager to get painting in oils then sit back and take in a video or three and then pick up a brush and get started.
    I used Bob Ross paints and brushes for this tutorial. But please use whatever brand of oil paint you have to hand.

    Absolutely gorgeous painting, Paul! You are one of the very best and I appreciate you very, very much for sharing your art. The way you explain things as you're painting (in an overdub) and offer so many useful tips and tricks for us beginners is invaluable knowledge that would otherwise take many years to acquire. Your videos and method of teaching are truly the best - unsurpassed by any others on all of UA-cam. Again, thank you very much Paul, and have yourself a great upcoming week ahead! Cheers, 🎢⛵🎨😊

    Loved this one, I finally cracked painting fur trees! So much so, that I changed the one on the left to a fur tree (still scared of the turkey bush trees). Really enjoyed this one :)

    • @PaulRansonArt
      @PaulRansonArt  2 місяці тому

      Hi Samuel - welcome on board the channel - Its great when you get to crack a technique thats been a challenge. get an old practice canvas and do a row of turky trees and bushes. Then scrape it off and use the paint to do another row. After a few dozen you'll be so sick of them that your'll just relax and let them happen willy nilly - and then you'll paint the best bushes ever. So, paint them like you dont care - my Top Tip for the day 😃😎

  • @gregorystannard1652

    Tried this one tonight, turned out well! Try to do the mountain without watching you, turned out okay! I cannot get the tree/bush dark base color to stay well / be dark enough, but I think you answered the issue in this one well! Will take the advice into account for the next

      Thanks Corinne - I have to keep stopping and filming so its slows me down quite a bit. When I taugh face to face classes a painting ratio of 1 hour teaching = six hours for students was a rough guide. I had to be pretty quick but its all a matter of practice. 😃

    Hi Paul! I’m so glad that you taught us great top tips on planning ahead! And many thanks for your explanation on how to prepare for the points of interest in the foreground.. I also appreciate that the tutorials are for any level of ability and encourage us that painting is a process, and with practice can be really rewarding. I love your colors in this piece- the sky especially. I have an idea for a painting and interestingly enough this one has a sky similar to what I imagined for my next painting. I want a misty morning sky glowing behind a dense forest of birch. Not too yellow or white- something warm and glowy. I’m also thinking about using a monochromatic backdrop with the foreground trees having an intense stand alone color. I’m thinking about your technique here of keeping the right and left of center very minimal so my funky birch in the foreground can stand alone but not clash. I will scrape the trunks out first, then apply color. I’m excited now and can’t wait to try! Thanks again for our wonderful lessons. I’m glad you’re here and have taught us so much! 🎉😎✨🖌️🎨🤩

      So pleased that these tutorials are stirring the imagination. Its my hope that after copying a few that folk make their own original artwork. Try a few test paintings and then put each on into a completed painting - best wishes - Paul 😃😍😎

      @@PaulRansonArt I agree that it is a good idea to practice first on canvas paper before starting a canvas. It’s interesting how the paper projects have been my best learning experience. That in-between the idea- to practice paper- to canvas has helped with confidence building. 👍😎🖌️🎨 have a great week and can’t wait to see your waterfall, seascape, or mountain!
