What a great performance, the whole band is fantastic! The thing that stands out to me is the wonderfully warm and rich lead guitar. Can't say I've heard many live recordings that sound that good.
Always one of my favorite tunes, KICK ASS vocal by Lindsay!! Check out the end of Verse 2 at about 2:20.... "I GUESS I'LL TRY MY LUCK AGAIN!" - one of the best moments in the whole show!! great playing by everyone, especially the trombone solo by Lars Wendt and guitar solo by Mario DiBartolo!
EXCELLENT cover of one of my FAVORITE Dan tunes!! Wasn't sure I'd like a female vocal there, but she sold me! Great horns, and lead guitar. Nice all the way around.
Takes a lot of swagger, confidence and talent to cover a band as complex and soulful as Steely Dan. I really enjoyed this because it's obvious that you love this music and nailed the vocals, which is where most SD covers fall flat. All of your singers have excellent voices. Thanks!
Many Steely Dan covers try to stay as close as possible to the original. This group make their own version, which is great, especially when so well done as here. The vocalist’s voice is too good to imitate Donald Fagen’s somewhat gnarly voice. Congratulations: a great performance!
@@mariodibartolo6520 If the aliens came and said "you're worthless savages, so we're going to destroy your planet", I'd beam the title track to AJA up to them. They would change their minds. So It may be up to you all to save the planet some day! Brit Floyd, btw, is the best cover band ever, so this was the highest compliment I could pay you. Your skill and bravery to take on some of the most challenging music in the rock genre deserves credit...
I turned a friend to this song a little while back in an email, and he responded that it didn't have any rhythm and there was too much drums. I just had to laugh at that one, it just shows how different peoples opinions on songs can be, I guess opinions vary. Great job on a song with no rhythm and too much drums!
@@mariodibartolo6520 I still cracks up at the "two much drums" comment from my buddy" considering the song features the legendary Bernard "Pretty" Perdie" playing the world famous 'Perdie Shuffle" he invented that so many have copied since. John Bonham of Zep copied it for Fool In The Rain, and Jeff Picarro sp? for Rosanna song, and others of less note. Like I said, it still cracks me up "too much drums" but he had no idea who the drummer was and the importance of the it in the history of rock music. There's even a great video with Bernard explaining that Steely Dan wasn't sure what they wanted for drums, they wanted a shuffle feel, but not a shuffle, they wanted half time, and so Pretty said, well let me do the Perdie Shuffle, and you'll get everything you want, smooth, laid back, half time, and the feel of a shuffle without it being one, another vid worth finding, he was a F'n genius.
@@robertkees6048 our drummer's name is Steve Shupski. What a fantastic job he did on this show. It's always an honor to play with all of these musicians. Thanks for recognizing the effort.
You guys are great Fagan & Becker would be proud.
Can't compliment this performance enough. How lucky are we as Steely Dan fans that you all found each other to perform their music this well?
Wow! Excellent! Especially loved the bone and guitar solos! 👍🏽❤️
What a great performance, the whole band is fantastic!

WOW!
Well done!
Love the horns!
Guitar and vocals are flawless!
Superb!!
A+
Wow, her vocals are just amazing! So lovely! Terrific cover! Much talent here!
Awesome Vocal !!!! Lindsay, I Want To Hear More!!!!
This is ten times better than the original in every regard. Killer performance.
A very good job. It was sung very well. The horn section very good.
Omg this was awesome. It’s just about my favorite Dan song. Great work by the vocalist. The instrumentation is amazing.
Excellent production !!
Absolutely fantastic. The singer is killer. Guitar player is spot on, the horns, just crazy. I've listened to this song 25 times.
How is her voice inflections different from any other female vocalist today???? Sounds like 99% of all the female vocalists today.
Shut up
Another amazing US Dan cover band. Just genius all round, it takes serious musicians to do them justice
Thank you !
awesome. how does this not have a billion hits?
..The counter got stuck.
As a rule I don't care for Steely Dan covers. And along comes this one. OMG. Really great stuff. Well done, very well done.
Love it guys !!!! 😘🥰💥
Fai la Brava Lindsey, & the whole band, hard to pull off a Dan song so well !!! One of my faves from that noto- rius duo of Don & Walt,,,,,.
awesome!
Great band doing justice to this masterpiece!!!
Cool chill inducing performance...bravo!!

...this is how you do music.... professionals hard workers...
Nice horns.
I was hesitant on the female vocalist until I hear her at about 2:20. Very nice.
Yep
I thought she sounded good all the way through.
Pleasantly surprised. Sounded great. The harmonies too.
What was wrong with her up to 2:19?
Do you mean when she hit the X Factor rock registry?
Nailed it. With Spirit!
EXCELLENT cover of one of my FAVORITE Dan tunes!! Wasn't sure I'd like a female vocal there, but she sold me! Great horns, and lead guitar. Nice all the way around.
All the vocalists were female. Girls hardly ever play anything in bands.
@@casparuskruger4807 Pretty sure the keyboard player \ band leader is a man.

This so good 👍
Nothing like a bunch of talented musicians performing a classic. Donald Fagen would be proud.
Thank you!!
Good job nice vocals 🔥🕊❤️😇🙏😎🌹
Love the T-bone solo!!
Excelente !
Wow, a lot of nit-picky music critics here. What a great rendition, very nicely done!!
This version is great.
Lovely flowing groove laying back on the snare on 3.
tight!
top notch all the way around, the female lead has fantastic tone and chops, great tone and style on the tele ..
Thank you!!!
Top notch
Thanks!
Dan good.
Great job!
id marry both of them. hot, great voices and nice figures.
👍👍👍
My fave from aja...I can play this on piano too...
Good!
That trombone solo was superb.....play on horns
Needs a little work on that swing with the Purdie shuffle, but still happy to hear people covering The Dan
Great tight work people! Almost give Brit Floyd a run for their money. Guitartist especially reminisent of Larry Carlton and Becker
Thank you!!!

Allmans then Steely Dan, one left Doobies for full house
Damn. Outstanding performance and a lovely sexy vocalist! It would be a real nitpick to say the tempo is just a tad slow. Otherwise just fantastic.

why this key?
Just tuned down a half step. The Horn section was not happy about it, so it was the last show we did tuned down.......LOL
Una 3° voz en los coros,le daría más "empaque" y brillantez,al grupo.
Por lo demás, todo GENIAL!!!
Who today writes songs about Greek mythology? Taylor Swift?
3:22
Actually a pretty gutsy move on their part to have a trombone do that. Not sure any actual Dan songs used trombone.
The band is great but change the voacl lead
Shut up rude idiot.
Band is tight. Don't like the vocalists style. She sounds like every other female vocalist today.
