Thought we'd be waiting till January for this one, but you've just got to love the expensive service card as an excuse for a new bike, certainly one of my favorites. Great vid.
52000 miles is proper for a 2yr GS. No weekend warrior here. All weathers, all countries, all applications, proper biking TP. Keep up the good work sir.
Copy cat ! Great choice mate, I'm in love with mine, finally getting the first service done on Saturday so can have some fun. Great work on the channel, loving the podcasts.
Ooooh. Cliffhanger. Just like Saturday morning pictures! Enjoy the new 1250. Nothing else would go with the beard and AIM training. Great to see TeapotOne doing so well. Happy travels
Totally agree Martin. Anyone seriously looking to do a lengthy tour must be mad to want a chain drive. I was telling everyone decades ago that the Kawasaki Z1300 with its shaft drive and water cooling was the way forward. I was laughed at.......
Great vid - as ever. Yep, totes agree on headlight guard: Honda wanted £1200 for a new Crossrunner unit to which my somewhat agitated reply was “I might as well have bought a BMW!” Talking of which, seems to me your eye is on the KTM. But please take a 1250RS out for a TeapotOne review because I’d love to know what you think. All the best
Look forward to seeing your new steed. I too am getting a new steed tomorrow. The H2 SX SE being swapped for Tuono V4. Regards your comments on Hilltop. I had my GS done by them after seeing your vid and like you it felt different afterwards. I too have had comments about taking my vid down, but until someone can show 100% that Hilltop are con men, I will keep vid up. Glad to hear that full time YouTubing going well for you
Hi Tea pot one, You have taken good care of her no doubt. Would you mind sharing if you've had problems with the Final drive? i.e rust on the splines. How frequent you've had to grease and change the oil on there. TIA.
Hi James, I’ve not had a single issue with the bike apart from a CO2 sensor lead came loose - that’s it, in nearly 50k miles. I had the bike service as per the schedule, so every 6,000 miles.
On every bike I've ever owned valve clearances have never needed adjusting. I just service my bikes with fully synthetic oil every 2000 miles and take the risk while putting all saved cash towards the next machine. Never bitten me.
Looking forward to seeing the new bike 👍 I'm getting rid of my speed rs for a Gs1200 but not sure what model is suitable for me? The rallye seems good but would it be suitable for me touring on road only
just found your page with this headline lol figured i would watch....needless to say i subscribed...righteous beard by the way, mines about the same, color and all lol i was a HD guy and recent bought a leftover 19 1250GS, i have always loved that boxer engine and if i would have went with anything different i would have mad at myself, needless to say the HD gets ridden when it has sat for awhile lol...not saying i would not mind taking the africa twin for a spin though....anyway loved the channel, keep it up and i will be tuning in!
The bollock tingling will be in the shape of the new 2020 S1000 XR. All the same tech as the GS but some 165 horses coming through the back wheel. Ice Grey is my guess. Thats what Ive gone for anyway.
THE KTM is high up on my suspicions for the new bike. However, you do love the GS and the 1250 does everything a little better than the 1200. While I would say the 1250, the fact that you say the extra parts won't fit the new bike make me switch to the KTM as your new purchase.
Really enjoy your videos, like the way you produce them. My question and I sincerely hope you don’t mind! I have a 1200 GS Rallye 2018. This is my 8th GS! I normally buy them new, keep for two or three years. I bought this 2.5 years ago with 1,500 miles on it. Just love the bike!!! Sitting with 19,500 miles on the clock, you did 50,000 miles on your Rallye, was it reliable? Did you have any unexpected cost’s. I’m thinking about keeping this bike. Thanks for taking the time to read this, much appreciated.
Really like it ! And by the way, I can so much understand and feel you for leaving all the stuff on the bike. Do't worry, look at it from this angle: You won't undress the girl, she got used to her fiitings ! So you are doing the girl a great favour :)
Totally with you , about the top box , I keep mine on all the time , plus I had an argument with a bloke about the head lamp protection on my saying it cheaper to buy that than a new headlamp , top channel 👍👍👍 thanks
I know what you mean mate, I have a Super Tenere 1200 with everything on it. But I needed to scratch the speed itch. Just bought an MT10 for the dry days !
Would be interested in your opinion on the different finance options when buying a new bike. I've never bought on finance would be good to know what you think.
After 30+ years of nothing but 1000cc sports bikes (including 3 gixers, you’ll be pleased to know) I’m now on my 2nd consecutive GSA. Stop press... I placed the order for my 3rd, yesterday! I’m looking forward to seeing what you chose. 👍 BTW, the front fender extender is absolutely brilliant. The mudsling might be good for mud but didn’t do what I wanted it to do with water. I sold after my first wet weather trip - it protects the shock but the rider gets drenched legs from spray coming out sideways. I tried the Puig hugger, and it’s superb - I wouldn’t be without it! It now gets transferred from bike to bike - you need to save your bolts, Bruce! 😉👍
Hello as a new clan member. Good luck on your adventure. Trying to figure out how I get access to your exclusive content. Do I have to view the vids through a different site? Different question, how did you find the Michelin road 5's on the GS? I have the same year and model of GS but only a pittyful 13k miles on it. Need to get out there more but the PCP is up soon and I am at a cross roads. 1250GS or KTM 1290S...
It certainly doesnt feel like two years since you got her Bruce , time flies so quickly.I recon your going Orange given how well their new models are looking.
A vloga who uses his bike, nice job, top tip for you, when adding accessories keep the package it came in and any bolts replaced put in said packaging and the packaging is always handy when you want re-sell. The GS suited you sir, abit like Honda Bentley would suit Tango'dMissendenFreebie 😜
Sad to see her go , but you’re going to love the super cub (oh is it a secret ? Sorry ) my bike made 3 appearances now I’m sad 😂 new bikes new adventures mate 👌
That's a lots of miles in 2 years 👍 I'm contemplating a 1250 gs as my next bike, but it seems that almost everyone that has a bmw change them right when the warranty is about to expire. Financially I can't do that. Is the cost (repair/maintenance) that high once you are out of warranty?
I sold my 2016 GSA with 52000 km in just less than 2 year in 2018, when i was in for a service with my new bike... i saw here... and crushed my heart (not even my ex did somthing like that!). Plus strange, in italy bmw assist is 5 year (has been for a bit) plus from 2019 4 year warrany (unlimited km!)
And the moral of the story is ! fit it yourself or make SURE you get all the bits that have been removed when you collect your bike ,oh dear oh dear it made me laugh thanks man made my day . : )
Cool video enjoyed watching it :) interesting to see how other people got on with the liquid cooleds my 2014 was a nightmare reliability wise but one of the best bikes to ride that I've had. Thinking a single cam gsa next for me once my 250c aircooled is sold on the bay.
Did you think of maybe going the 1250 version of your bike Teapot..? Or are you wanting to go completely different, which is totally understandable. Anyway, with whatever you are going for all the very best to you and hopefully you will enjoy your new steed just as much if not more, cheers dude.
I see one accessoire that you seem to have missed, which is somewhat puzzling given that it is probably the most expensive one: the Navigator. How about the usefulness of that? Does one need it given smartphone options like waze? It it worth the 800 euros that this goody cost? Anyone on that?
Sad times Bruce... imagine the video of the GSXR going... but we all know it never will... but I definitely feel a video like the intro for the Suzuki would be awesome
Sad to see helga go, I'm guessing it'd be a 1250 gs from how you have spoken about them in the podcasts but could also be the ktm for that bonkers mental feeling, either way I'm looking forward to watching your journey on her,
How much did you spend at the dealer for the extra parts, surely a GSA would have come standard with 1/2 of them. And you wouldn't have had to stop and fill up 20% more.
Maybe you can buy the original bolts? My topbox cost 200 quid but all the attachments cost 300 quid😂 it's a frustrating and expensive game sometimes. I look forward to seeing the new bike.👍
You tease Bruce!!
This is still my favourite colour scheme of any BMW to date!
Hi Bruce, really nice bike, you wont believe this but I have just bought your bike today from the dealer, you have done a good job looking after her .
Subscribed right away.. love the calm explanations and comments
Thanks very much bud, welcome to the channel 👍

Oh no, say it isn't so..............go for the R1250GS, more power and very smooth. I love mine!!
Copy cat ! Great choice mate, I'm in love with mine, finally getting the first service done on Saturday so can have some fun. Great work on the channel, loving the podcasts.
Love my 18 GS Rallye. I have a 19 Super duke R as well. Can't let either of them go.
Hi Bruce, Had two GS's Hilltopped and you can feel the difference in grunt from the off. Take care.
Philip Chesters You should feel some difference, because your wallet was a lot lighter when you left.
😂
Ooooh. Cliffhanger. Just like Saturday morning pictures!
Enjoy the new 1250.
Nothing else would go with the beard and AIM training.
Great to see TeapotOne doing so well.

I hope it's the 1250 GS HP, but I have a sneeky suspicion it might be the KTM GT. Don't know if I could trade shaft drive for a chain now :)
Totally agree Martin. Anyone seriously looking to do a lengthy tour must be mad to want a chain drive. I was telling everyone decades ago that the Kawasaki Z1300 with its shaft drive and water cooling was the way forward. I was laughed at.......

a lot of the 1200 parts don't fit the new 1250s. my bets are on a 1250 HP

2020 KTM Super Duke R for your next bike?
I do exactly the same trick of loosing the original fittings. But you getting a new bike so bugger the expense :)
Hi teapot1, one question, r1250gs or 1290 adventure r?
50 k miles in 2 years?? That’s a LOT of time in the seat! Respect!!!👍 someone is getting a great bike with Helga!!!😀
Im sad too see her go but im also very excited for the new bike!
What do you mean by hill-topped
I have a ktm 690 2021 supermoto. Found a 14 bmw r1200gs with 22k miles for $10,800 is it worth the trade and buy or the bmw need a lot of maintenance
I'm calling it; Teapotone is getting a Super Duke GT.
It’s got to be either the KTM 1290SA or a GS1250HP?
When are we going to find out what your getting Bruce?
Hi , what helmet do you wear ?
mein neues Motorrad,,, where is it??? looking forward to seeing and hearing your review

My honest answer is no - there’s no need to get the Nav anymore as your phone can do everything and more - got a vid coming 😉
It will fit right into the next BMW.... or use BMW Motorrad Connected app...
I think it will be the KTM Super Duke ore the 1250 GS or maybe the BMW R1000RR?
