finally someone explained this in plain English for newbies... I have been searching for a while. This helps me to understand the CUBE questions for my 70-779 certification. Thank you so much!!!
Can you change from sales values to cost of sales values quickly using the cube value function...i need to show some data in local currency and USD and both values are in my data model...
Nice video (yes - intro music is painfully loud). I think the real strength of cube functions comes from having cell references in the CUBEVALUE functions (as with your CUBESET example) and how the report is after conversion from a PivotTable, rather than hard coding parameters with the intellisense.
Great video's. One tip: bring down the sound-volume of the opening scene.. (in the other video's too). When I have my headphones on I almost get ear damage..
The best i have come across. However, your Excel Table is not, as you know, a Data Table! Many people using the term data table wrongly now and it confuses people who are uncertain.
In my Pivot table my column is "Sum of Price", however, when I convert it into OLAP formula it show " Sum of Price 3". What is the basis for this numbering??
