"Many Right Ways" to achieve the very best for young children; particularly in high-quality Family Child Care. Yes - every child deserves a D.A.P. rich environment in which to grow, no - they do not need an institutional setting (nor a teacher with a degree) for it to occur. The very-best-traditions of children cared for "in-home": small group, continuity of care, natural to the child environment (home), and an intentional, engaged, knowledgeable ("professional") caregiver. This exemplifies what all Quality Family Child Care has in common. Regardless of the Providers education.

Yes! But why not an ECE IV for those with a BA and MS in early childhood? I operate a preschool in my home. I hold so many credentials and experience. It is very difficult to communicate the difference in my program to parents who simply see me as another in-home provider. I'd love a NATIONWIDE program that shows the distinct levels that set providers apart and educate parents on those who are working toward more credentials and are serious about the industry.
