It was interesting to research the town names. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised to learn that St. John Indiana was named after a man named John… 🤔
Valparaiso is named after a city in Chile. A city that looks nothing like anything in Indiana.

Chesterton derives its name from the township of Westchester (“-ton” means it is a town).

Do you know how the town of Dyer got its name?
Great question! Dyer got its name from Martha Dyer Hart. Her husband is who Hart Street in dyer is named after. They were settlers to the town. 😁

@@larrys4618 sometimes there’s no avoiding those roads without adding even more time to the ride 🚗 especially the north side of Chicago to northwest indiana rush hour commute.
Especially if you live in South Lake County
