OMG i'm usually just a lurker, but i had to comment. The moment you used the artifact and found the drengin and korath as neighbors in the same tiny system as you made me spill my coffee on myself! I think the correct response is GGWP
Never fear! I got this one. One thing you can count on with both of those factions, is that they do not like one another at all. They've both got abysmal diplomacy and their natural hatred for one another will likely ensure they'll attack one another before they attack me, providing I'm not looking like an easy target.
That's actually a really good idea, yes it would be valuable to do so and no it wouldn't be sacrificing too much, getting Approval out of the red is critical in this game.
An aside about Gal Civ 2 and 3. It is nice to see the original team back for 4. When 3 released they had taken a “new direction “ which was rather crap. Then I believe Brad came back in charge and it became better. But it was like putting lipstick on a pig. Now that they can build from the ground up, it is kind of exciting. Unfortunately, my game crashed within first 5 turns repeatedly, so I refunded it… hope it gets a bit more stable.
I'm probably not gonna finish the Luxar playthrough no, the version is an old one and the game has significantly changed since. I WILL finish this one, in one way or another.
There are optional events you can choose to trigger when you want the game to end, that will give you victory points. It's an unusual system but it works well to give you a challenge and end the game when you're ready for it. But honestly, the game itself is one big crisis, as the AI is pretty competent and it will gang up on you if you start to win by a noticeable margin.
I've noticed while playing that you have your random here and there wars and those are okay...but then your neighbor keeps sending you messages "we see your building up your military" or something like that and then after 2 or 3 of those warnings BOOM -- They declare war on you and all their buddies do too....then GAME OVER. :( I get annoyed with that mechanic. Seems to happen to me in every game at some point.
Interesting, I've heard other people say this but I've not had it myself. They definitely won't let you win if you're looking like you're gonna snowball. I'd be interested to know which point of the game that happens Jim
@@battlemode I do have a habbit of building plenty of many fleets and somewhat large as well so maybe I should stop adding/building when I get that message. I don't know what else I could do.

O very interesting, so you can try and pit them against each other
I'm relying on their close proximity and the fact the Korath hate everybody. New episode goes up today with the story so far
Glad the channel is growing. Good stuff.
Yes! It encourages me to carry on putting up videos knowing people are even watching the old ones.
I love the Iconians… creators of the Yor. No one ever plays as them! So glad you’re playing them.
I like the Iconians too, I played them in a quick game to get some footage for a video at work and thought I should try them in a full game
The lore of this game is so interesting.
For sure, an interesting start
It really is! Enjoying this game already!
I really liked the longer video.
Cool!
The Iconians heads look like prunes :)
Haha! They do, weird looking things
Are you able to say if they're fixing the auto-designer neglecting to update for lower cost weapons and lower mass weapons? It was not fixed in 1.90.
I can't discuss anything regarding development as it's NDA'd, I'm sorry.
@@battlemode No prob.
I would love a game start option to play without colony ship rush building.
To be fair, that's not unique to this game
@@joramhh1637 I'm aware, but that doesn't change anything.
This should be interesting............
One of the most interesting games I've had up to this point, for various reasons
Who is the creator you mention in the beginning? Do they have a channel?
www.youtube.com/@illauna8899
Do you think rushing xeno entertainment would be viable to fix approval or are you sacrificing too much
That's actually a really good idea, yes it would be valuable to do so and no it wouldn't be sacrificing too much, getting Approval out of the red is critical in this game.
Do you think going for high approval is worth it, or do you think the best play is to make sure your pops are not too pissed

Ah sorry to heat that. Wait till release and see how you find it then
ahhhh is the other series dead?
> i'm going to play this game quickly
lol call me a skeptic... 🙃

I WILL finish this one, in one way or another.
Are there any mid/end game crisis event to shake things up or is it pretty much just driven by whatever civs you have in your game that sets the tone?

So far my only complaint is that the Thalans are gone.
They are? :)
@@battlemodeI meant as a playable race
"THIS is way better" ? ! ! !
Are you kidding me !
GC4 is nearly ruining my life, to say the least...
I can"t barely stop playing it.
Help ...
Haha! Well I hope you can stop playing at some point, too much of a good thing, and all that :D

Dre gin and Jorah in a tiny area… hrrrm.
It's gonna be a knife fight!
@@battlemode no. It is a gun fight, you just brought a knife! Hehe
