It's weird that this song, that's being sung so beautifully in front of such a fancy looking crowd, by a very talented and beautiful singer, accompanied by such a skilled orchestra, is from the same game that someone modded to have Macho Man Randy Savage replace all the dragons.

So - fun fact! That "Morrowind" theme is actually the main theme for all of them, just disguised somewhat. In Oblivion, it's easier to find, as its just a more upbeat, agressive version of the exact same melody right at the beginning of the main theme. In Skyrim, the main theme is a kind of countermelody - only the first two notes are really changed but still, it is harder to hear as the same theme - but the "Dovakin, Dovakin, etc." gives way to the Morrowind melody. First when the words drop out and the horns/trumpets take over, at around the 52 second mark, then later, after another long instrumental break, the voices come in with it at around the 2 minute and 9 second mark.
It's something I've always really appreciated about the Elder Scrolls themes - since taking Jeremy Soule on as main composer, that Morrowind main theme has always been the main theme for each subsequent game, just a varied, sometimes highly disguised version of it. Like a leitmotif.

@@Olagfigh right - I clarified later in the post that "Since taking on Jeremy Soule as the main composer" - which happened in Morrowind. Should've been more clear! The games prior used a different but no less talented composer! Who didn't use this theme, it came about at Morrowind. By "all of them" I meant all the ESO themes - should've been clearer!

Morrowind was far better but I’m a fan of all TES games. Skyrim is a solid #2. If Morrowind could be remastered it would be epic. No hand holding, no fast travel, and the story/landscapes were epic. TES:6 needs to hurry up. ESO isn’t even close to as good as these games are.

Its way more than Perfekt for me! I Love the Fact that everyone there take this Theme so freaking Serious. I seen Fear in the Eyes of Zweiacker (the singer) on start - She sings perfekt in Dragontongue and also the Orchestra was knows that they doin. On the end i clearly heard out the Stompes of big Dragon feets (3.00) and how he fly away (3.15) - also it went to "Imperial" on 3:38 (Zweiacker Angry face on 3:37 - maybe she dont like the Thalmors even that hard than me). I realy feel that all of tham knows whats up in this game. She Know that she Calls the Dragonborn, how mighty he is.. and half fear and half need him to slaught back the Dragons. - Hope i met all of tham in Sovengarde - could shake hands than and say thank you. :)

It's meant to be a gameplay soundtrack, not a song in the sense of the typical 3-minute expressive music we hear today. So I'm not necesarrily the biggest fan of the repetitive and monotone-like elements of both the lyrics and the orchestral parts, but I can definetely understand why. Definetely the best part is where she begins singing in dovah.
By the 9 divines, this is amazing nonetheless :)

I don't even plan to play this. I want new story. If they really wanted to do a remaster they should take the older game like Morrowind or even Daggerfall, i have never played this two games cause they have too archaic graphics and mechanics for me . Skyrim is too "young" for remaster in my opinion.
+FreezeNexus I agree but skyrim was really the stand out game for TES series and it was made so good because the story/world/lore/and of course gameplay and mods as well for pc. It truly was a game you could do anything with and none of the other games had that. Now with next gen consoles you can have mods on it even if your using an Xbox and they have rebuilt the game from the ground up.'
