When I ran one of my first virtual campaigns for D&D I used a fancy multi leveled ship and we never used any of it other then the main deck because no one cared lol we never used it for RP everyone just wanted to talk above deck anyway! Since then I never really tried to run any games with a ship, maybe one day i will use that map again and mannage things better to make more use of all parts of the boat.
@EpicSamurai i think I have some interesting planned. Encounters that might take part in different sections of the boat.So i'm keeping my fingers crossed.Everything goes as planned. It really is rare that I ever need a boat when running a game.Maybe I should make a habit of it. Lol
I like the idea of a long journey on a boat. It changes the dynamics of an encounter. With that being said, I think i can count, on one hand, how many times I've used them during a campaign. Lol
@noobztvgaming i do! Captain Ragis Craigmore. He recently lost his old ship and had to survive on a deserted island for 3 months before a ship finally went by and found him. He's become a bit of a drunken laughing stock in the port cities, up and down the east coast of Athalia. He has plans on "acquiring" a new ship.
@@noobztvgaming A fine question, indeed! I haven't really given a lot of thought, but it would be nice if he used something unique. Maybe a handheld harpoon or a double ended trident? Any suggestions?
@vodkast my pirate captain idea was maybe 2 1 shot flintlock pistols across his chest Scimitar sword 1 throwing knife in each boot as extra one action. Then I did think about maybe a cool whip maybe with barbs on it ,or would you first mate be the bad ass with maybe duel whips

Make some noise or start a fire into a lower deck. Players will have to go down :D
